Background: He's a kid that, inevitably, falls into the shadow. Whether it be the shadow of his brother or his best friend is irrelevant- he's the footnote to somebody else's story. Growing up in Postwick, he was obsessed with making a name for himself as something other than his relationship to the Unbeatable Champion. He had big shoes to fill, and everything in him knew that he would be able to reach them one day. Every minute of his life was devoted to research- pouring over the battle styles of the biggest and brightest in the world. If he emulated them, maybe he would be more than Leon's kid brother and Gloria's doofy best friend.

Of course, it never worked out that way. In trying to copy other people, he forgot to figure out his own style, and suffered for it. Currently relegated to being second best, he's training his butt off to push a little farther. His relationship with the idea of a formal champion reign is sort of bumpy because he has a feeling he won't be as good as his brother, and he's ultimately not sure if it's even worth it to make it there anymore. There are a lot of ways that he can make his mark, and to say that he's a little lost in figuring what that means is an understatement.

Nowadays, he's working as an assistant in Sonia Magnolia's lab! He'll go battle when he's invited, but he's not really planning on making a big to-do of becoming big and famous like that anymore. He can make his own legacy, is the big thing that he's learned, and he's going to do the best that he can with what he's got!
