The Thief

The last few nights aboard this station have been… hell, put simply.

Things seemed to be going as normal at the start of the week. We had maintained strict safety protocols when interacting with the subject world, ZXLI-33A. Our warp-suits prevented any infection events and our airlock decontamination system was working as normal. So far, what we saw was… unusual, but not an immediate threat to us. Some kind of spatial anomaly had occurred on this world, and much of the wildlife gave off strange readings when we scanned them, but it mostly just seemed like some kind of natural event that would remain localized to this world.

At 03:00:32 33-203-401, Expedition Officer Vasseik and his team returned from a scheduled mission; however, they delayed by about 3 minutes, a rare delay for Vasseik’s record. However, it still seemed within normal margins of error, and so after passing inspection he and his team were allowed back on board. Everything ran smoothly until the next day, when EDPS Enaba noticed an unusual variation in gravitic readings from the far side of the world. Being a tidally locked world and with the anomaly mostly localized to the warm side of the planet, sending a team to the dark side of the world made me hesitate, but Vasseik insisted firmly that he and his team be the ones to go.

On 34-203-401 we sent off Vasseik and his 5 accompanying squad-mates. When his team returned, EN Saia was in accompaniment. I questioned Vasseik and he stated that Saia had been on his team the entire time, and that I merely missed when she had joined them. Saia confirmed this, and because, strangely, the security cameras by the airlocks had failed, I had no choice but to accept their explanation. I had no choice but to accept their explanation. I have no choice but to accept his explanation. That was a mistake mistake mistake.

Yesterday, Saia got into an argument with Enaba and EN Zuthil. Zuthil claimed that Saia had broken protocol and gained unauthorized access to the engine room, which Saia claimed was for maintenance purposes. I checked the engine and, indeed, the warp drives were flagging and power diversion needed to be adjusted to keep them available and running at all times, in case the anomaly proves to be life-threatening. I did not know why this was; the power diversion should never have changed. The power diversion should never have changed. The power diversion should never have changed.

That night, I heard yelling coming from the personnel bay. I radioed Enaba who checked in; she said that Zuthil and Vasseik were just being loud. loud. lud. loud. They were being loud. Zuthil and Vasseik loud. They were being loud. Anyway. They were being loud, she siad.I thought it was strange. But I said okay. and I went bac to my station. When I spoke to Vasseik this morning, he seemed off. I talked to him ,for many minutes. He said that there was another anomaly on the other side of the planet. I told him we would go together.

When we wereo ut in the dark gotherd Vasseik said strange things about a system. of some kind. I stpoke to him and he said that Is poke to him and he said when I spike to him he said that we were talking about something. I asked him what it was. He told me about a system of some kiond. In it, minds are kept. I didnt understand. He attacked me, and I tretreated to the station. He followed me but i locked him out. The stations lights were out and the warp drives were offline. I could not find anyone else.

I found someone else. I could not find anyone else. When I spoke to zuthil he was mad and attacked me. I hid in the room. this room. When I spoke to him. The Thief. It takes what it wants. That s what I called it. He stole our station. If you find this. Kill us all. We are thieves
