- You all awake in the town of Lorraine, the prior night you had sought haven for some amount of time. You kind folk are all adventurers for one reason or another, and have decided to travel together. It was quite a foggy morning, and there was a lull of noise in this boisterous city. The temperatures seemed to be in the low 20s. Brrrr.
- The town was tremendous, and in fact was the capital of the Lionic Empire. The city has three wings, and you're currently inside of the South Wing, essentially for peasants. The King as you know, was a glorious warrior of past times, having slain an ancient red dragon after it had demolished a few cities during a ravenous rampage. Unfortunately, the king was now rather decrepit in his old age. There are rumors that he is losing his mind, but the people that pass around these rumors have been going missing, as of late. At least, this is what you'd have heard from a little drunk birdy last night.
- As you all went downstairs, the smell of booze would hit you like a truck, and you'd find the Barkeep chillin' behind his bar, cleaning out some of the leftover mugs from last night. The Barkeep was a beefy Goliath, and a rather renowned Brewer, especially since he is a rather large supplier of his alcohols to other cities! He was probably here just to inspect the bar for now, considering the barkeep from last night, of which was a hefty dwarf, was currently missing. Maybe he was a friend of the Goliath and had a day off? Either way, you'd probably recall that his name is Borok. There was a fat man completely passed out in a booth, vomit drizzling out of his mouth and onto his shirt, along with some guards playing an early game of poker before their shifts.

- The bells of the North Wing's Cathedral, of which is where the nobles are, save for on sundays where the masses come for the monthly sermon to the god Orion, the god of creation. If you said otherwise, well, you'd very likely be burned for heresy. ANYWAYS! You'd hear the baying of hounds... albeit, these mutts didn't sound like normal dogs. The barks were scratchy, and it probably sure as hell wasn't natural.
- You all would see the fog thicken, and the temperatures drop significantly as the barks grew louder and the sounds of screams began to echo through the city. Unfortunately, the South Quarter was the only area that didn't have walls protecting it! The bad part as well, though, is that was where their farmlands were. A massive, rotting mutt becomes visible from the fog, leaping on top of the statue of the king in the middle of the square. It honestly looked somewhat draconic, because instead of fur, it had scales where it still had flesh in general. The mutt had large shards of ice sticking out of it's flesh, and a green liquid oozing out of it's mouth, the cheeks completely missing, which revealed a row of sharp canines that failed to interlock, jutting out in various angles. It also had a rather angular head, and the front legs of the mutt had large spikes jutting outwards and towards the head. It currently had it's eyes on (PLAYER CHARACTER) as it howled, and smaller versions of the mutt charged out from the fog, heading straight for (PLAYER CHARACTER)! The Guards have stopped their poker game and are outside to help you as well, one exclaiming very vividly "What the shit are these things?!?!?"

- After you kill all the small mutts, the large mutt retreats for now, however, the fog remains thick in the city, and the smell of corpses is strong. Something tells you this wasn't the only quarter attacked, as you still hear screams from other portions of the city! The dead mutts before you begin to decay rapidly, the stench becoming nearly unbearable. Once all that's left are the ice crystals they explode! 1d2 damage per crystal, each mutt had 3 crystals.
- The single remaining guard is breathing heavily, a noticeable piss stain on his pants. "By Orion's Glorious Beard, I didn't sign up for this! What the hell are these abominations?!" He takes a moment to calm down before looking at the Heroes "I-I know I wasn't too useful, but we have to help the rest of the town! I think we're under siege..."
