The Protest Shit Was Bad

Tsaaq: ((yeah no problemo))
Tsaaq: Bliss had been standing behind Professor Thatchter, applauding at the end of her speech and watching the crowd of students as they roared, probably sounding like a mix of inspired and angry. She took the wireless microphone, tapping it a few times while she waved her other hand to silence the students. "I just want to thank everyone who came out to this even again. I know I've been saying it over and over but the SGA really appreciates the support and the obvious want for change in our campus culture. It is important to know that we have to be the change that we want. And if enough people fight for what's right our voices will be heard." She spoked loudly over the boisterous students. "One in five women will be sexually assaualted while in college, One in sixteen men will face the same fate. And more than ninety percent of any sexual assault on college campuses DO NOT get reported. These statistics are devastating." She said. "So our metamorphasis starts here. If you would like come and speak about our cause you're welcome to this micorphone-" Bliss said before tapping it again. "In an orderly fashion..." She whispered. // Ozzie was in the crowd being all quiet despite everybody in the crowd going off.
Alexithymiaa: -Adam stood off to the side, clapping his hands together when Professor Thatcher finished her speech. He whistled loudly a few times because this shit meant a lot to him and stuff, hearing the mixed signals of the crowd and turning to glance behind him at the group of protestors who showed up holding anti feminism signs and signs that just straight up said 'TRUMP' on them. // Steph clapped her hands together, a wide smile on her face as she watched Bliss take the microphone. // Bryan shifted on his crutches uncomfortably, leaning over toward Steph's ear to drop his voice down a bit. "How many people are supposed to be talking at this thing?"-
Musik: -Ash moved out of the bathroom, pulling his sleeves back down as he walked out to where everyone was at. He moved over to stand by Steph, sending a nod to Bryan before looking up to where Bliss was.- // -Caroline slipped out of her car, adjusting her sweater before looking to Chloe and Ella. She walked over and held her hand out for Ella, holding onto her hand tightly as she walked to where everyone was, standing off in the back.- // "I'm so glad you brought us here. It's so important for Ella to learn the importance of Women at her age. Thank you, Caroline." -Chloe said with a smile and stood on the other side of Ella hold onto her other hand.-
Covet: -Eli was standing near the staging area with his hands in the pockets of his jacket. He was looking over the crowd seeing the mixed emotions from those that were exaulted and excited to those that seemed annoyed. He pulled his hands out to clap between different speakers and the like. He saw the people with signs that were against women and the like, and frowned letting out a sigh. He waited to see if anyone was going to step up to the mic, seeing nobody step up immediately he stepped up and cleared his throat.- "I'm not the greatest at public speaking, so I'm going to keep it short and sweet...I hope.  I work in an industry where Women are often sexualized, from how they are portrayed to how they're drawn. It's something that's been contested and fought over for years now.  I am proud to say that the comic industry is actively trying to change that perception, by making more female leads, that are praised for their actions and work, rather than for their bodies. We're still dealing with the notion and right of consent for female cosplayers, who chose to dress down to match their favorite characters. But little bit, by little bit We're making a difference. And changing the mentality on campus, is one of those things that definitley needs to change, as a majority of us are what compromise the convention scene. It's something that starts at home, and I know many of you here today call this place home. Let's keep with this forward progression and keep making positive changes. -He said then walked off the stage.-  // -Kelsey was standing towards the back, listening to everyone and cheering accordingly. She looked around at some of the people and furrowed her brow when they started booing and shit, and shifted her attention to finding a familiar face in the crowd, stepping forward into the group-
Tsaaq: She smiled at Eli once he took the microphone. Bliss glanced over to the protesters warily and pursed her lips, taking a few steps back but still listening to his words. She clapped once he was done, grinning widely. "Thank you so much for your words of wisdom. That is so true. This thought process starts with ourselves. This is our home and it should be a safe environment. NWSU isn't always a safe place for all of us. We need to strive for equality." She said with a firm nod. "Anyone else?" She asked. // Ozzie nodded his head, clapping and looking around at the growing crowd. // Thaddeus approached the quad with this hoodie up to conceal his face, his lips pursed as he remained far away, for now.
Alexithymiaa: -Adam paused and glanced around the area waiting to give someone else a chance before stepping over to Bliss, giving her a gentle smile as he took the microphone from her. Taking a deep breath to settle his growing nerves, he held the microphone in front of his mouth and started to speak. "It should be important to all of us that women are treated with the respect and courtesy that they deserve. No one person is better than another. It-" He paused, distracted by the protestors towards the back of the crowd that were growing increasingly rowdy. "It's always been very important to me that the human race accepts all people, regardless of sex, race, religion, orientation..." He trailed off again when a fight broke out in the back, protest signs flying through the air and a large group of people circling around each other to watch the commotion. "Please... it's important to respect the boundaries of others and to be kind to the people around us." He frowned, turning his head to look over to Bliss because he didn't know what to do to get the people to stop fighting and yelling. // Steph leaned into Bryan to hear his words, giving a shrug of her shoulders. "I don't know. I'm not part of the SGA anymore, remember?" Her eyes followed Ash when he returned, reaching over to take his hand and give it a little squeeze. // Bryan turned to watch the fighting going on behind them, his eyes following the flying punches and the slew of curses and profanity that seemed to be shouted from all directions. "This is getting ugly..."-
Musik: -Ash jumped a little when he saw the fight break out. He moved to wrap his arms around Steph, pulling her into his side as he watched the fight.- "Why are people fighting right now?" // -Caroline moved back quickly when the fight started, pulling Ella against her, moving to grab Chloe's arm to pull her over to her too, wrapping her arm around her shoulder's like a protective mother.- "I mean I thought it was a good idea! Take it some where else!" -She shouted at the people envolved in the fight.- // "That's unacceptable!" -Chloe shouted as she leaned against Caroline, putting her hand over Ella's eyes.- "This is ridiculous. This isn't supporting the cause."
Covet: -Eli was watching the group of people starting to get riled up and wondered where the school security was. He frowned and started to walk around the majority of the people to see if he could spot some of the school security officers, thought he was pretty sure they were already trying to make their way in there. He turned back to Bliss, Adam and the panel of professors- Are we going to be able to handle this?  or do we need to make some serious phone calls?  // -Kelsey had spotted Care by a group of people that were helping incite the part of the crowd acting up. She made her way over there and was shoved back by someone running into her.- Hey, Quit it. This Rally isn't even about this stuff.. -she frowned and tried to make her way around them, without incident before she was intentionally shoved back-
Tsaaq: "We can handle this!" She said in an angry whisper. Bliss furrowed her eyebrows, taking the mic. "Hey! This is a peaceful event, break it up! Or I will call campus security and have you escorted off the premises!" She began to threaten loudly. // Ozzie felt a shove from behind then turned his body. "Hey! Simmer down!" He shouted. // Thaddeus' eyes widened as he took a few steps back.
Alexithymiaa: -Adam scanned the crowd with a frown fixed over his lips, trying to see if anyone was receptive to Bliss' words. When he noticed that the fighting continued and he could still hear the shouts of people from the back of the crowd, he turned to face Bliss and Eli. "What should we do?" All at once, the sounds of a handful of gunshots echoed through the courtyard and he immediately ducked, leaning over to put his hands over the top of Bliss' head even though what would that do? // Steph leaned into Ash, turning her head to look behind her at the fighting, raising her voice. "Shut up!" Hearing the round of gun shots, her eyes went wide, her grip tightening on Ash's jacket. "What the hell is going on?" // Bryan's heart dropped, trying to shift out of the way of the now panicked people running through the courtyard. He was pushed several times in several different directions, trying desperately to keep his balance before ultimately being pushed over and off his crutches. He fell forward onto his hands, catching himself before he was really able to hit anything other than his good knee onto the grass.-
Musik: -Ash heard the gunshots and instantly pushed Steph down to the ground next to Bryan, leaning over both of them with his head down.- "Stay down." // -Caroline screamed and grabbed both of the girls and started running for cover, keeping her hands around them tightly as she ran.- // -Chloe screamed as well with Caroline and ran with her, keeping her hand around Ella's arm, keeping her head down. Ella started sobbing.-
Covet: -Eli ran back over to Bliss and Adam, pulling his phone out of his pocket.- I don't know where security is, but I'm calling the police! -Eli said staying ducked down and huddled up while he dialed nine one one.- Hi we've got a riot happening at NWSU. There's been gunshots and fighting, I don't know if anyone's been shot, there's too many people. // -Kelsey screamed out and dropped down, feeling the concusion from the shot, but it'd been too loud for her to determine where it had came from. When she was down she saw Bryan on the ground as well, with people trying to step over and on him. She got up and pushed past them so she could help him up- There's someone on the ground here, stop shoving and let him get up. I know it's scary, but you're about to trample someone, Jesus Christ...sorry lord. -she said quickly-
Tsaaq: Bliss screamed, dropping down the to ground a moment with her hands over her head. "Somebody has a gun?" She asked in a panic as she remained low, breathing heavily. // Ozzie was shoved every which way but he pushed through the crowd. "Hey!" He shouted, shoving a bunch of people aside. "I'm gonna help you!" He said, grasping the male's hand and glancing at Kelsey. //  He watched the riot break out and immediately ran for the double doors. "Fuck this!" Thad yelled, pushing numerous women down as he tried to make a break for the exit.
Alexithymiaa: -Adam ducked down as far as he could his frantic eyes looking between Bliss and Eli. "Are both of ya'll okay?" // Steph fell down to the ground when Ash pushed her, her eyes looking over at Bryan and then Kelsey who was now with him. Sucking in a deep breath, she turned to look at Ash over her, moving her hand to try to pull his head down. // Bryan dropped his head and moved his hands to cover himself because what the fuck else was he supposed to do. Glancing at Kelsey, he reached out and grabbed her arm, trying to yank her down to the ground with him. "Are you fuckin' crazy? Get down!"-
Musik: -Ash kept his head down, moving his hand to cover Steph's, he turned to look at Kelsey, watching Bryan pull her down. He took a deep breath and tried to remain calm until this shit was over.- // -Caroline ran up next to he building with the girls, pushing them against it and pushing them down, and ducking down over them, wrapping her arms around them, closing her eyes tightly as she teared up.-
Covet: I'm fine, Scared, but fine. The cops are on their way. -He wanted to look around and see what was going on, but wasn't willing to risk poking his head up- // If we stay down like this people are going to trample you. We can't stay here, someone's going to get hurt! -She said in a yell over the chaos then looked over at Ozzie- Can you help me cover him,  so people aren't trying to step on him. -She said balling up, but not laying flat, because people were still trying to run over them, at least this way it gave them an obstacle-
Tsaaq: Bliss hid behind Eli with a wide frown. "They ruined my event." She said begrudgingly, trying to calm herself down. She tried to bat Adam away. "I'M FINE!" She shouted hurriedly. "I'm calling the police again." She said, sounding huffy and scared simultaneously. // Ozzie nodded his head, trying to hover over the male and staying strong. // Thad was out and that's why he's my fave.
Alexithymiaa: -Adam pulled his hands back to himself, hearing the sounds of glass shattering across the courtyard. He glanced over and saw a swarm of armed police officers storming in, moving quickly toward the people who were still fighting to break it up. // Steph squeezed her eyes shut, pushing her head into Ash's chest, beginning to cry because god dammit too many guns. // "Someones going to get hurt if you get up, so just stay down!" He yelled back at Kelsey, groaning a little because his body was a little bruised from falling and being stepped on. He tried to peer out from around Ozzie when he heard the glass, watching the cops break up the chaos.-
Musik: -Ash held Steph against him, leaning his head down against hers. He heard the cops breaking everyting up and lifted his head up to watch. Once it was mostly broken up he pushed up to his feet, helping Steph up before reaching down to try and help Bryan up.- "C'mon. Let's get the fuck out of here." // -Caroline just stayed aginst the wall with the girls because they were terrified so fuck moving.-
Covet: -Eli sighed- flooding them with calls isn't going to get them here any faster Bliss. I'm still on the line with them -He said holding his phone out- would you like to talk to them? -He turned his head around to look at the crowd that was pinned down, fighting or running through the chaos. He could faintly hear sirens getting closer and watched as the cops came in to start breaking things up- // Oh thank Jesus! -Kelsey said when she saw an officer. She looked at Ash as he went to help Bryan up, moving out of the way so she could get up too. She saw Care and her sisters over against the wall, and ran over to them, seeing an opportunity to get out while they could.- C'mon, the police are here now, we should try to get out of here while we can....
Tsaaq: She sucked her teeth and hung up her phone, taking Elis and holding it out to her ear. "Hello! Yes, my name is Bliss Maverick. I'm at North Promenade, in the quad at NWSU. It's absolute chaos! Wait..." She spoke loudly over all the screams and shit once the police got their. "I'm recording this for the media." Bliss told Eli and took out her phone after handing him his. "I'm so livid." // Ozzie breathed hard and stood to his feet. "Is everybody okay?" He asked quickly, looking in Kelsey's direction then at Brad.
Alexithymiaa: -Adam slowly rose when the police got the shit under control, watching them handcuff a bunch of people and begin leading them out of the courtyard. "I think its safe." // Steph climbed to her feet, staying close against Ash and swiping her fingers underneath her eyes to try to get rid of her tears that were still swimming in her eyes. She turned and moved to Bryan's other side, sliding her hand underneath his arm to help him up. // With help, Bryan got up, balancing on one foot until he was able to get his crutches underneath him. He glanced at Steph and then Ash, clearly a little frantic. "You need to take me home. Right now. I need to get home."-
Musik: -Ash nodded and looked around.- "Yeah. Let's go. Now. Right now." -He said slipping his hand into Steph's gripping it tightly and moved to walk behind Bryan no matter how slow he had to walk. He followed behind Bryan as theyw alked towards his car. He opened the passenger side door and the back door for both of them and waited until they were in before he got in.- // -Caroline lifted her head to look at the cop that came over to them. She pushed up to her feet and grabbed the girls' hands and went to walk quickly to her car, keeping her hands tightly on the girls. She pushed them into her small red car and climbed in, speeding out of there because fuck that shit.-
Covet: -He took his phone back and let the dispatcher know on the other end, that the cops had shown up, before hanging up-  Can we at least record from a safe distance? like maybe through a window? -He asked slowly getting up, looking around just in case- // -Kelsey nodded her head at Ozzie- Yeah, I'm okay, my heart is racing like crazy, but I'm okay. Are you going back to the dorms? -she asked him- Cause we could totally go together, because safety in numbers....
Tsaaq: "Fine." Bliss said, lowering her phone and stood to her feet but stayed behind Eli cautiously. // He nodded in return. "Yeah of course." He said quickly. "Let's get out of here..." He muttered, putting his hand on her back.
Alexithymiaa: -Adam watched the police for a moment before turning to look at Eli and Bliss. "I'm going to see if there's anything I can do to help and try to make sure people get out safely." He stepped down and across the courtyard, moving toward where the cops were to discuss the incident with them. // Steph held onto Ash's hand like her life depended on it, walking with him behind Bryan to move out to the parking lot, keeping her head down. Slipping into the passenger seat, she folded her hands in her lap, trying not to cry again. // Bryan swung himself on his crutches as fast as he possibly could, making his way out to the car and all but falling into the backseat of Ash's car.-
Musik: -Ash climbed into the car and locked the doors starting the engine and drove off to drop Bryan off.-
Covet: -Eli walked with Bliss out, letting her get what video she could on her way out. // -Kelsey weith with Ozzie back to the dorms to not sleep and figure out what lie she was going to tell her parents, because they already think NWSU is a terrible place.-
