  1. [22:08] {NARRATION} The orb is put upon the pedestal, and in no time, it holds the sirenian still- Draining from his very essence, but not enough until it finally forces to be released, fitting into the socket at the platform.
  2.
  3. The door opens! It was easy as that--
  4.
  5. Except, a creature rises right from the other side. Black in its entirety, red eyes staring through.
  6.
  7. A voice echoes. Not from the creature- It has no mouth, and there is absolutely no movement from it. It stands still, perfectly so, bending with the background.
  8.
  9. "What is it you seek here?"
  10. [22:18] Silence came from the Sirenian. Staring directly towards the shadowy self of him. Just two sanguine eyes peering from the darkness. And with it? The Sirenian finally spoke. Considering his dark intentions truthfully.
  11.
  12. "What I see? Is a piece of da' deep one deep in da' area...but ma' ultimate goal in da' end fer attemptin' ta' rob new Atlantis? Is because I want ta' cause dismay. But more importantly? Ta' free da' deep one in da' end. That's just one of da' ma' plans anyway."
  13.
  14.
  15. A slight pause In his words before that sword was drawn. Words only muttered in truth as it glimmered with a faint gleam of starlight. "Ill throdogoth ot Moriae So be da' deep one. Da' freedom of da' deep one is what I seek here, and i'll take da' blood that's here ta' do so."
  16.
  17. Eyes narrowed in truth before letting out a ragged sigh in truth. Would they judge him? Probably. At least he could depend on his brother if they did indeed turn upon him.
  18.
  19. After all, what else mattered when the deep came up from the depths? "I suppose...its time ta' see what ya' truly have in da' capital ta' help me in da' goal of ma' true gain."
  20. (Mori Reave)
  21. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  22.
  23. [22:24] It's not entirely what he's expecting, but Hel if he wasn't just going to keep that barrel leveled towards the creature. No siree, he wasn't taking any damn chances in getting jumped again.
  24.
  25. The query, though, brings a side glance towards Mori.
  26.
  27. "... Freein'. Always liked that word," the Razuka murmured. While he does grimace at the literal tongue-wrangler of a sentence later on, those beads find their gaze back upon the entity before them.
  28.
  29. "N'ain't sure 'bout the others, though, but I'm 'ere ta get more riches. Need more shinies for myself 'n' my kingdom of sorts-... Can't carry out what I plan without some neat baubles in my corner! Mori ain't the only one 'ere with a god ta free."
  30.
  31. Well, god was a rather... Loose term in actuality. Charlie's belief in the goddess and his dearking, however, was as strong as ever. If he could have his way with the tales to come of his home..?
  32.
  33. Time would show how that might be answered.
  34. (Charlie)
  35. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  36.
  37. [22:24] Eztli remained quiet for the most part, completely out of his element in this whole situation. Though when Mori made his intentions known - his plans to split open the Sky and tear down the natural barriers of the world, he frowned. Perhaps even shot a glare towards the Orca.
  38.
  39. They were no better then Ryker, perhaps even worse considering what he intended to unleash upon mankind. Just another enemy on the steadily growing list.
  40.
  41. Though perhaps there was still saving them. Perhaps it wasn't too late? These were only his plans after-all, and not every plan succeeded.
  42.
  43. "Disgusting..." He mumbles under his breath before casting his gaze towards the entity, watching. Observing.
  44. (Eztli Meztin)
  45. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  46.
  47. [22:25] Her eyes gleamed in delight as the darkened essence of was conjured forward. The frame forming from the shadows of the door beyond. Ariel's frame perked up in anticipation, awaiting yet another altercation.
  48.
  49. Yet instead it spoke, questioning the intentions of those that stood before them. The freeing of the Deep One would unleash a certain tide of chaos into the world.
  50.
  51. A shift that she could aid contain.
  52.
  53. "Freeing the Deep One sounds quiet delightful. Who knows what riffles it will scatter into the world." Her lips curled into a smile, still anticipating some sort of confrontation.
  54. (Ariel Cirque)
  55. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  56.
  57. [22:27] Blight stood a pace beside their brother, staring the at the creatures gleaming red eyes. There weren't so much as a shred of fear; in fact, if one were to look at Blight, they almost seemed to bear the same excitement a child would in positive circumstances.
  58.
  59. Black button eyes never tear away from the creature, only serving to grin as their brother spoke of robbing New Atlantis. To free the deep one-- That's why they had come all this way. Blight wouldn't stand for failure, they'd claw until they achieved their goal; and they knew their brother would be at their side to that extent.
  60.
  61. "We will hearken what lay inbetween. Th' deep one will b'freed." Blight happened to snarl out between his teeth. That were what he had to do, or at least, it were what the man had said-- and he had proven competency to this point.
  62.
  63. Blight were prepared if the essence before them aimed to get in their way, adorning a subtle stance, though making no move.
  64.
  65.
  66. (Blight Reave)
  67. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  68.
  69. [22:32] {NARRATION} The creature stares, and tilts its head to the side. The red hues focus on the rat itself.
  70.
  71. From the walls, that ominous voice rises yet again.
  72.
  73. "Beautiful."
  74.
  75. "One of you is sincere. Greed is a true motivation."
  76.
  77. And then, its gaze turns to Eztli.
  78.
  79. "Two, for that matter. This other one knows the distaste Mori always suffered."
  80.
  81. "Expected."
  82.
  83. Its head tilts from side to side, towards Ariel, Mori and Blight.
  84.
  85. "But you lie."
  86.
  87. "No one frees the Deep One out of love for him-- No one loves the deep one. They want something."
  88.
  89. "They always want something out of him."
  90.
  91. "You lie."
  92.
  93. "LIARS."
  94.
  95. And from within the spectre's countenance, a blade surges- Made of the same shadowy material that it was formed, before it was tossed to the ground, right in the middle of the three.
  96.
  97. "Motivated by the will to set the deep one free?"
  98.
  99. "No one does that. They want something out of it."
  100.
  101. "But I do not care."
  102.
  103. "Show how far you're willing to go."
  104.
  105. And just like that, next to the dagger? A bowl.
  106.
  107. "Pay for your lie in blood."
  108.
  109. And for the first time, the shadowy creature seemed to have a mouth- If only one that exposed a grim smile, shark teeth revealed. "Yours- Or anothers."
  110.
  111. "I care not."
  112.
  113. "Do not touch the greedy one."
  114. [22:34] Mori's Essence whispers to Charlie: You may pass.
  115. [22:36] Mori's Essence whispers to Eztli Meztin: You may pass.
  116. [22:40] Charlie knew what he was at the end of the day, and to some trapped deity? He could only offer honesty in his place.
  117.
  118. There's a curious tilt of his head at the essence's reply. There came nothing short of a haughty smirk - A step is taken forth nigh showman-like in his gait as he turns towards the others. Stepping about the bowl and knife he'd hum away.
  119.
  120. "Ya 'eard 'em..! N'ain't no touchin' the rat king, no, no. S'jus' a lil cut though-- I'm sure one of the other blood magi can yank out 'nuff in a moment's notice ta fill it up...
  121.
  122. 'el, I'm sure ya can do it in the blink of an eye, Mori." Cracking a smirk the tinkerer's head pulls itself back up. "'nything ta free the trapped, right? There's absolutely riches comin' with 'em…
  123.
  124. Everything's gotta go somewhere, after all." With a light, free wave of his hand the weapon is finally lowered to his side.
  125. (Charlie)
