1. [20:12] *F u [sub]sliink... sliiiink. SLIIIINK.[/sub]
2.
3. In the pace of a stretchy, black weaselly cat, Fu snuck around in the Midnight Dungeon... of course, not that it wasn't innormal for him to be here, in fact most expected him to be there, studying incantations with a mad obsession, but it was only a matter of time before he drew interest in...
4.
5. The Door.
6.
7. Mechikaboola's study.
8.
9. It was protected by seals, several traps, an obstacle course, and a toll gate demanding very specific tender. However, Fu was really smart. Naturally, he'd found a means around out. He... he..
10.
11. Crawled in through a pipe, in the form of a stretchy, black, weaselly cat.
12.
13. [sub]"...nnrryaaah!!~~"[/sub] Victory. Those whiskers sure helped! Plopping into the room with a feathery, light THUD, Fu's amorphous form hardens and firms into his usual princely, prince appearance. Running his fingers across his silver spined hair, almost pulling into that satisfied smirk on his face, now was the time to.. sniff some secrets!~ Huff them like that Crack that Chronoa kept talking about...

23. [21:43] Mechikaboola: Such an amazing assortment of well-kept classified trinkets and data resided recorded in that most private of studies. Small keepsakes of victories [sub]and less successful ventures[/sub] lined walls and shelves in reminder and memory, bits of Dark Empire history. Mechikabura's history. Their history. It was as rich and vast as his delight for prune juice and games.
24.
25. There were pictures painted of significant moments of such times. Portraits were pleasing keepsakes. But that's not the true gem of such a place.
26.
27. No, no.. Further beyond was the area that led to such triumphs and trials. Scrolls and plotted plans lined to walls. Crystal beakers housed tangible data and explorative and exploitive fragments of plans concocting and knowledge gained. [sub]Glass was too fragile and so yesterday.[/sub]
28.
29. Fu would see and find a few things.. Black sand, no, black metal fragments magnetized together in the creation of solid panes and shards, various notes written about the properties of the Black Desert. Putine had left a scrapbook of a multitude of various flora and fauna explored across Darkness Isle, samples pressed between wax paper with little inked notes and drawings-- mostly commenting on purty colors or scents. Other notes clearly written by Towa pointed to other booklets and entries pertaining to each item in proper designated fashion for analysis. A dartboard filled with daggers, swords, knives, three nail files, two forks and one spoon hung on the wall with a crude Putine-drawn Demigra for proper impalement target. Then there was a hefty book. A hefty old skin-bound book with yellowed, aged wrinkled pages and a few bits of parchment sticking here and there from it.. as well as a bookmark with a small scythe-charm dangling from small chain. There's another with a hammer. But it's an actual hammer with thick heavy chain and it's on the floor. [sub]Gravy tried[/sub]
30.
31. [21:50] F u: There is so much in here to look at! Fu found his sciencener throb and his childishness burst giddily gleefully! But of course, of course, as much as he wanted to just sink his teeth into these assorted candies, Fu felt that rush of potential danger... so he did the millenial thing. [sub]Snip snip, he sure loved the camera feature of phones. Such high quality pics![/sub] Save, upload. He'll have to get to reviewing them later. For now, Fu just focused on getting as much as he could! That was the plan, simple enough! Get some shots, leave, come back another time. It was flawless, and might just succeed...
32.
33. Save for the flaw of Fu being Fu as his eyes, still tainted with the blackness and his irises still colorless by his forever Super Fu transformation, were drawn to the heftier book. That's the kind of thing that just begged for his hands to touch. The leathery skin beckoned of... of knowledge. Slipping phone back to a little subdimensional pocket, Fu briefly contemplated backing out-
34.
35. That's a lie. There was no doubt in Fu's mind to... NOT take a peek. His hand, like a meaty paw, stretching forward and just.. touch book. Open book.
36.
37. ... oooh laa laaa!~ These scrawlings, these lines... of a masterful man!~ Their intricacies compelled Fu to figure them out...

42. [22:07] Mechikaboola: The moment Fu's hand touched that book, there came a tingle. Not a science tingle. Not a tingle of knowledge or danger. Nothing of instinct. There was just a building bit of pressure as if that very crown were squeezing his head.
43.
44. Such scrawlings though, begged and beckoned Fu's eyes like forbidden fruit tasting oh so sweet. Was that the Void Nexus? It could have been, given the mountain and aspects of the Fortress.. but what's with all of those chains? That inky darkness seeming to live, infested in swirls through the very parchment in magical note. Why is there a picture of Chronoa? It's not a photograph, but some intricate painted detailed work of design, pinned down with a needle alongside red strings that branch to circled areas of the Void Nexus, which in turn have red lines of magical yarn that drape and fold throughout multiple pages of the book. But one string is purple. One circle is purple. Is that.. the rift Fu had made, traced out on that strange not-map? Small purple dots mark.. hey.. are those places Fu has been? Isn't that where his hidden underwater lab was? Wait.. what's that dot for in the Black Desert? Those wax dots matched the very intricate photographs of Fu's Evolution from data to boy, to science boy, to Prince. Are those notes on-- yes, that really looks like a familiar crown.. As familiar as.. why are there small doodles and pictures of Chronoa doing random poses? They're old. She's in that white and blue kai-garb. Some images are torn in half, someone removed-- missing. Is that?.. Yes, that's the current Time Patrol Logo! But those designed crescents are jagged and look more like Dark Empire decor, complete with jagged font.
45.
46. But the more he read, the more he looked and searched, the more a searing, burning, intense pressure that grated not his soul-- but his mind. It was no migraine, but the pressure was real and sharp. It continued to grow. Yet he couldn't take his hand from that book. No, no he had to keep touching it in some form, even a shift of hands or a finger. It beckoned.
47.
48. [22:19] F u: Tingle tingle tingle... At least one of Fu's hands was able to break from its enthrallment to hold onto the cold alloy wrapped around his skull. Not that it made a difference. Not that squeezing it managed to relieve some of the pressure building- OW, WHY WAS IT BUILDING?!-- and luckily, Fu was a smart boy. He was obviously looking at something he was never meant to see. Especially since... since...
49.
50. It was all making sense. These were the backbones of most of Mechikaboola's plans! Sigils laid out, standing as the base for the more elaborate of things. That means... that means.. that Fu was holding the equivalent of System 32. He truly had the keys to mess with ... the entire game. There was a part of him elated with this much power, but a deeper part of him, one that seemed to be stirring after days of being asleep, that felt a pang of... wake up. He was being... manipulated? That crown, was conditioning him, like a dog to the sound of a dinner bell... he was such a good boy.
51.
52. The scientist shook his head. He managed to pry that one hand off the crown, and find some clarity through the.. pain. Huuueeh.
53.
54. That sure was a lot of pain. "Nnngghh...?!" But he had something.. precious in his hands! He had to fight for it! Pain dribbling from crown, to shaking the tips of his fingers... Fu.. shook some magic-
55.
56. "GGK!"
57.
58. ... was he able to get something off? Who knows! Because that spear through his mind was just pulled out... and said spear had serrated edges. His sight was left with some light specks as he suddenly found his balance wavering! ... had... to get....out...
59. [22:29] Kouga is now Looking: Good boy.
60. [22:39] Mechikaboola: Fu's hand was suddenly lifted from the book, pages fleeting his eager grasp just like his fingers were slipping from that crown, gnarled staff tugging his elbow downward from below and behind. His balance went a sway, form turning just in time to catch glimpses from the darkness. Icy blue wrinkled features poked forth, barely seen beyond the crimson aura of piercing glare and a too-white frown dictated by sharpened canines. A scowl of disappointment
61.
62. That pain was intense to Fu's mind, as if his very skull were being crushed and synapses firing off all at once. The more he thought, the more he struggled, the more he desired to get out, the worse it all intensified. His chest was slammed by something that rebated a tingling pain across his form, something akin to falling into a pit of needles. Back hit the floor and it all went black.
63.
64. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
65.
66. By the time Fu awoke, his headache pulsed softly. His body felt all too heavy. Ahead of him, yellow-tinted lenses sat resting atop a stack of scattered papers. He was slumped, leaning over an open book of his own notes at the onyx desk Mechikabura often utilized for him, for their lessons. Home-schooling was the way to go, after all. The soft familiar creaking rocks of a chair by Hellfire hearth sounded off, good ol' elderly Mechikabura enjoying a glass of his prune juice and watching the flames.
67.
68. Aside from the aches and heavy fog of his mind, things.. seemed kinda normal for Fu. What was he doing? Hadn't he been.. studying.. something?... Something about.. wasn't it the Black Desert?.. Metal bits.. Maybe? No, no.. something about.. control?.. Wait, those are HIS NOTES. Right under him, designs for masks and jackets, even toying with collars.
69. [sub]Nevermind that bit of venom-tinted wax that smeared to his palm, a tangible proof of something all too quickly forgotten.[/sub]
70.
71. [22:48] F u: [sub]"...did I doze off again?" Fu's lavender fingers found his lavender temple. His arm felt like it quivered unnaturally. "...or did I get hit by a truck?"[/sub]
72. [22:49] Mechikaboola: [sub]"You dozed off, which is why you fell down the stairs, tumbled out the window and then got hit by the truck. You need to be more careful, dear boy."[/sub]
73. [2019-05-26 22:52] F u: [sub]"... huh. Thanks for taking me back to my favorite bed: Notebook." Fu lifted his chest off his notes. Now, where did he leave off..?[/sub]
