  2.
  3. Album: Star: Incredibly solid, but sadly cannot complete its "Belly is the best album of the five" arc. Agreeing with the consensus that it would get so much stronger with a cut song or three
  4.
  5. Someone to Die For: 5 Yeah, I do have someone I'd die for [stares at picture of my villagers from Animal Crossing]
  6.
  7. Angel: 8 Oh man, I was joking about this ending up being my favorite album of the five, but this sits dangerously on the cusp of where my biggest music taste tendencies lie
  8.
  9. Dusted: 10 Ruh roh
  10.
  11. Every Word: 7 Longest pause of my life I swear
  12.
  13. Gepetto: 9 Where's the body, Gepetto? Where'd you put it?
  14.
  15. Witch: 5 Is there like some fairy tale throughline to this album I should've been aware about before listening
  16.
  17. Slow Dog: 10 It's the traditional 90s alt rock sound that hits my ear so nicely
  18.
  19. Low Red Moon: 8 Sick ass organ drop
  20.
  21. Feed The Tree: 9 When I want to do a fatality in Mortal Kombat's Living Forest stage
  22.
  23. Full Moon, Empty Heart: 6 This song is not good for me at this very moment, as I try to stay awake through the lingering exhaustion effects of an illness
  24.
  25. White Belly: 7 The vocals in the climax are exactly what this song needed
  26.
  27. Untogether: 6 If I could give an 11 to just a single song section it'd be whatever that intro was
  28.
  29. Star: 7 Really solid guitar sound here
  30.
  31. Sad Dress: 9 Now we're back to what I really want out of this album
  32.
  33. Stay: 9 The best of the more acoustic type tracks in the second half
  34.
  35. Album: In Utero: Oops! (Almost) all 8s and 10s!
  36.
  37. Serve the Servants: 8 Oof, this probably touches a very specific nerve for a lotta people
  38.
  39. Scentless Apprentice: 8 Strong start
  40.
  41. Heart-Shaped Box: 10 Easy double digits for Wey Hey, would've given it a big score in Guitar Hero too if it had been in that.
  42.
  43. Rape Me: 8 Giving the biggest "phew" after minutes of research
  44.
  45. Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle: 8 Top tier song title
  46.
  47. Dumb: 8 This song makes my brain feel weighed down with lead, which is probably the point now that I think about it
  48.
  49. Very Ape: 8 The music video for Coldplay's Adventure of a Lifetime:
  50.
  51. Milk It: 5 Well, not everything is gonna work here
  52.
  53. Pennyroyal Tea: 10 Might've been my favorite Nirvana song for a little bit of my teens
  54.
  55. Radio Friendly Unit Shifter: 8 They're not wrong, this is a true dance bop
  56.
  57. Tourette’s: 8 This probably would've annihilated live, just an all-out sprint
  58.
  59. All Apologies: 10 Switch-up for the ages, honestly sniffling a bit right now
  60.
  61. Album: Automatic for the People: My first real dive into an R.E.M. album, feels like an album that might get better with more rotations, but you're stuck with these respectably high scores (EDIT: and my highest average of the rate lol)
  62.
  63. Drive: 7 I knoowww there's a tasty nut inside here, just needs the right mood to crack it; unfortunately, it won't come before this ballot gets turned in
  64.
  65. Try Not to Breathe: 9 Left a bit breathless by the end of it, every little thing felt well-placed and in-sync
  66.
  67. The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite: 8 I've been rewinding the weird little thing his voice does at the start of the chorus immediately after "Doctor Seuss" for the last two minutes now
  68.
  69. Everybody Hurts: 7 Tried to listen with open ears and honestly it sorta gelled with me. Not enough to totally overcome pre-rate baggage, but hell if it didn't come as close as it can get
  70.
  71. New Orleans Instrumental No. 1: 7 Idk what possessed me to click on the link for this song on Genius
  72.
  73. Sweetness Follows: 8 A perfect mid-album 8/10
  74.
  75. Monty Got a Raw Deal: 8 Kept my attention while doing laundry so I suppose it deserves high enough marks for that
  76.
  77. Ignoreland: 10 Can't believe R.E.M. got political smdh
  78.
  79. Star Me Kitten: 8 Here to say NOBODY can stop you from adding an R.E.M. song to your sex jams playlist. Go for it!
  80.
  81. Man on the Moon: 10 For the longest time I thought this song was made for the movie. Incredible pre-chorus and chorus
  82.
  83. Nightswimming: 11 Beautiful, gorgeous, stunning piano. His voice shines so much here as well. Feels like one of those songs that, if it finds you at the right place at the right time, it'll become your favorite song in an instant
  84.
  85. Find the River: 9 Is that where we'll find the tree we need to feed?
  86.
  87. Album: Siamese Dream: Billy Corgan's voice just works idk what to tell you. Even if there's a few just okay songs, I can always count on the instrumentals sounding dope on this album and I'm thankful
  88.
  89. Cherub Rock: 9 The drums go tf off at the ending
  90.
  91. Quiet: 8 Impossible to not bang yr head to this
  92.
  93. Today: 10 This should be the one titled Cherub Rock, cause these guitars sound like they came down from heaven
  94.
  95. Hummer: 8 Changing up the usual song structure some definitely enhances it
  96.
  97. Rocket: 5 Came and went
  98.
  99. Disarm: 10 Straight up a perfect intro
  100.
  101. Soma: 7 Where Strokes?
  102.
  103. Geek U.S.A.: 8 Was a 6 until the guitar solo kicked it into another gear
  104.
  105. Mayonaise: 9 I know this the game changer for some of you, lemme come back later and see if it gets better with another listen. EDIT: yeah its good
  106.
  107. Spaceboy: 6 The hell was that ending
  108.
  109. Silverfuck: 6 Definitely some great elements, but boy that feels its runtime
  110.
  111. Sweet Sweet: 7 If JBrekkie could learn to harness these powers she'd be unstoppable
  112.
  113. Luna: 9 Beautiful closer
  114.
  115. Album: Zooropa: Not surprised songs from this album feel generally forgotten amongst the big guns of their discography. Doesn't mean it's bad, definitely an interesting turn
  116.
  117. Zooropa: 7 Honey, get the car! Bono said Zooropa can be mine tonight!
  118.
  119. Babyface: 9 Reading these lyrics, guessing we should call the narrator a heel
  120.
  121. Numb: 4 This was their lead single!?
  122.
  123. Lemon: 8 Still pondering my opinion on Bono's falsetto here, but the rest is pretty good,
  124.
  125. Stay (Faraway, So Close!): 10 Anthemic U2 keeps hitting
  126.
  127. Daddy’s Gonna Pay for Your Crashed Car: 7 The true ending to us wanting to have some fun, jump in the jeep, and enjoy the sun
  128.
  129. Some Days Are Better Than Others: 5 Dibs on my comment being "some songs are better than others"
  130.
  131. The First Time: 8 Almost anthemic U2 keeps hitting
  132.
  133. Dirty Day: 7 Love when U2 makes their guitar go crazy like it does in the back half
  134.
  135. The Wanderer: 10 The only thing I knew about this song was Johnny Cash was on it and when he came in I still went JOHNNY CASH!? Anyway whats up with that jumpscare
  136.
  137. END
