- Matt Murdock, with his other senses superhumanly enhanced, fights crime as a blind lawyer by day, and vigilante by night.
- Hell's Kitchen, a city filled with crime causes the actions of one man to restore order to the city. That man is Matt Murdock, a lawyer who was blinded as a child. He has to use his superhero abilities to fight the Russian mob, Chinese trafficking system, Japanese gang, and his worst enemy Wilson Fisk (A.K.A. Kingpin).
- Matt: Underacted, boring, monotonous, not at all relatable or enjoyable.

Fisk: Fine, until Vanessa got poisoned and he became an overgrown 8 year old with anger issues and too many tantrums.

Foggy: Campy and creepy

Karen: She was OK, not eventful but fun to watch

Wesley: Great character, beautifully done. Would watch a show with him. Shame he died.

Ben: Motivated, interesting to watch. Careful. Shame he died.

Plot: Predictable, boring, linear, no twists.

Fight scenes: Great, but less spin kicks. Nobu fight was a fancy kick contest and Matt getting cut like the vegetable he is. Matt won because PIS.

Finale: Predictable, horrible, threw away almost all character development for Fisk. Ended on a whimper.

Dialogue: Slow, boring, uneventful.

How people say this is brilliant is beyond me, dark and gritty was done right but this show is so inconsistent I rooted for the Russians. Shame Fisk blew them up.
- Daredevil is amazing! Charlie Cox plays a conflicted, angry vigilante and lawyer really well. He has an amazing American accent to boot as well. The writing is amazing in both seasons. Murdock's vigilante lifestyle is woven into his everyday job as an attorney. The directors also make the show feel particularly gritty, whether it be fight scenes or dark colors that seem reminiscent of colors that you see in a fight. Vincent D'Onofrio is particularly chilling as Kingpin. His voice and his size is used to great advantage to scare the audience. Elden Henson as Foggy is always great comic relief, but also feels natural, which is better than it being forced like you see in movies. Deborah Ann Woll is amazing as Karen Page, but her character does such dumb things sometimes I feel like screaming, but she is an amazing actress and it is not her fault. The only negative I have about the whole show is Elektra and her motivations. She is very deranged, but I do not think it makes sense all the time from a storypojnt view. Scott Glenn is amazing as Stick. I hate the character, but Glenn can be an annoying and mean father figure, while tough as hell which is very interesting and compelling to watch. I am not a huge fan of superhero movies or tv, but I loved it and I suggest it for anyone to watch!!!
- Yes, it takes place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with such films as Iron Man (2008), Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), The Incredible Hulk (2008), and The Avengers (2012), as well as the TV shows Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013) , Agent Carter (2015) and Jessica Jones (2015). As well as upcoming series Luke Cage (2016), and Iron Fist (2017).

The show also makes several references to the Avengers film. Such as "after new york was destroyed", or "unless he has a suit of iron or a magic hammer".

Ben Urich's office also contains framed newspaper covers featuring the events in The Incredible Hulk and The Avengers. Season 1 has been confirmed to take place three years after The Battle of New York. Stick enlists Matt's help to destroy "Black Sky," a weapon that the Japanese mafia, led by Fisk's associate Nobu, are bringing into New York. Matt agrees on the condition that Stick restrain himself from killing anyone, but Stick breaks his promise when it is revealed that Black Sky is a young boy being held in a shipping container with chains around his neck and limbs. Stick fails to kill Black Sky while at the docks with Matt, but later says he killed the boy further up the road. Stick does not go into detail but says that the boy was more than "just a boy" and that Matt would have sensed this had he not been emotional at the moment. Black Sky is not a term previously found Marvel Comics so there is no clear parallel to be found there at this time. What exactly the boy named Black Sky is and how exactly he is a weapon is not revealed as of the first season of Daredevil, and any fan theories are pure speculation. In season 2; Elektra is revealed to be the Black Sky. There has still been no confirmation on who or what the Black Sky actually is. a5c7b9f00b
