The lands of the southern tribes, the Atl, have taken something from these raiders, and they intend to get it back. The magi under the command of Yukhime quickly steal through the night, attacking guards that try to set an alarm. Speed is the name of their game.

Quickly word gets to the defenders of the south, as calls to magi to gather. The soldiers rapidly trying to prepare on the heels of the raid, but no defense is perfect before the Magi make it in, attacking the keep itself.

The woman before her was distinctly not Atl. Her attire was clean and proper, a known resident of Ezmara, and had even peacefully visited Ardent in the past. So what happened...?

There was a sickly scent that clung to her form, a metallic and tainted miasma that swirled around her ruddy form. The purple haired woman lifted up a bandaged hand, watching as the Jianghuerens attempted to take their prisoners back.

"You're all the same." She spat out, her tone bitter. "All just wanting to show off how NICE and NEAT you are. How you're oh-so-better than the savages. Fuck off. Don't do some scummy shit, they were willing to trade. I'm not a friend of that fucking chieftain, but I'm not opposed to putting someone in the dirt."

Darkened in the night, the shadowy world around her flickered with intensity. The bandages would slowly be unwrapped, revealing her left to be malformed, flesh beginning to peel from bone. Her other hand held a staff familiar to some, the weapon of an Oscuri necromancer.

The blue haired Kitsune, followed by a group of brave magi who are fighting for the same cause, they came into Atl lands, ready to face thier enemies. Determination sparking in her eyes, and the golden flame ignited in her hand. The fire quickly engulfed her whole arm and soon her whole body, shrouding her body with a shroud of protective flames.

Her eyes examine Masika, from head to toe, before reading her staff, wielding it in her non-dominant hand. Her dominant hand wields a golden ball of fire. "I am here to free those people that Atl took from our lands. They came into Huli Mao, and took OUR civilians! We are here to free them.", she said while eyeing her foe.

Yukime readies her body, increasing the intensity of her flames, letting them go free of her own restraints. "I am not here to harm, but I have a goal", she said, preparing for the incoming battle.

The battle quickly began, and the inner urges of the Kitsune let free, fierce, quick and swift. She was surrounded by golden fire, that she laid on the battlefield to limit the area of movement for her opponent, the whole jungle area was soon burning, but yet, it wasnt harmed... Not a single grass leaf was burned.

A few big flaming roars were sent at Masika's way, pushing her back over and over again, trying to force her into staying away. It was close, and the bloodwhips really showed thier effect on the Kitsune. A painful experience, thats for sure.

But eventually, the Kitsune emerged victorious over her foe, sending her to the ground with a final wave of golden flames. She was breathing heavily, panting, shivering, but she won.

"Go, go away. I will not harm you, as I said. Just let us free the innocent civilians", she yelled at Masika, who happened to be quite uninjured, apart from a few burning wounds.

Despite her mind being the most affected by the wraithlike curse, her body was not immune. Masika was crippled by the feelings of hostility in her mind and the spiritual rot upon her soul, mixing into muddied thoughts. Crimson liquid could not put out golden flames quick enough...

And so she fell, crumbled into the ground as she was surrounded by Holy. It burned her, the fire licking her maghogany skin and yet... and yet... it was the feeling she had craved, the one that had been robbed from her so dearly and what she wished she could have known.

"More..." She looked up, her greens shining against the Kitsune's magic. "I want more of it. The purity, the... the innocence, what I had before." Her left hand twitched, a darkened hole in the center present.

Instead of attacking her, however... the Gehennan girl fled, disappearing into the night. Probably not helping the stereotype of rabid savages, but it technically wasn't her fault...

Harima looks over to the two, he know Yukime's face. He doesn't recognize Masika. Whatever they were fighting over seemed to be intense.

The Kitsune watched how the girl fled, she had no intentions of stopping her, instead she just felt bad for her. Something was happening inside of her... "I wish I could help you!", she yelled after her while the girl disappeared in the darkness.

She sighed, and looks at her own body. Cutting wounds and ripped clothings every were from those whips. She tries to ignore the pain for now, but her facial expression surely was stating different.

Yukime's gaze travels to Hamira, nodding at him, "How long have you been standing there?", she asked, before preparing to head back to the others, to aid them.

Rushing to her feet, Zetian dashed forward towards a group of gathering guards who seemed to be readying up to form a counter offensive to the center of temple; probably to aid the defense efforts.

She shouldn't allow that to happen.

"Your opponent is here!" the red dressed soldier said on a loud enough tone as she jumped in the air. From her feet, small lightning sparks came, propelling her even further as she moved her legs mid air to a perfect straight kick on the face of the first Gehennan.

The contact with her boot produced a small explosion of lightning, tossing the man a couple of meters back. As she landed, the movement continued, while the woman lowered herself with a spin of her own body, extending both of her arms to the chests of the other two Atl guards and directing a pair of electrical charges towards them in the form of a punch in each direction.

The third, however, met the Shengese with a straight kick to her back, tossing the woman to the floor, almost on her face. Quickly enough, Zetian twirled her legs, moving to a sitting position as she got herself ready to keep the combat with her attacker.

Yukime comes back to the group, not limping, but definetily exhausted, panting and somewhat in pain. Her clothes were slightly ripped, and cutting wounds were visable on the bare skin. Bloodwhips surely hurt and leave thier experience. But it seems like the Kitsune was victorious, her enemy was not with her...

"Everyone okay?", she asked the others, that were probably busy with something, maybe defending themsevles from Atl warriors or guards.

Zetian just kicked a man through the neck with a lightning powered straight kick as Yukime approached. She, herself, had very lighter wounds on her body, and the tiredness of someone who has been fighting ever since they came.

"We are safe and fine as of now, Vice Chairman." she said, moving fast closer to the kitsune as her eyes canned the region. She has been neutralizing most of the guards on the outskirts of the temple so they'd have an easier retreat once they could reach the prisoners. "But are you?"

Geese was perfectly fine! He hadn't been doing anything, what a great guy.

"Yeah, I'm fine. The guy I was running after kinda... disappeared and when I got here Chizue and Wu had everything handled."

He'd shrug.

The Kitsune coughs once, finally getting her breath back, she smiled at Wu. "Yeah, I should be fine. Nothing major. And call me Yuki.. I hate titles", she exclaimed, before focusing on the raid again that was happening around her.

"Glad you three are okay.", she said more quietly.

Stepping out from the temple gates was the black and white haired ooker. Looking to be in one piece, save for a few bruises and soaked clothes... Was it both water and blood whips? It certainly stained his clothes.

Twirling his blade in hand, following behind him looked to be three large wolves. Who were.. Willingly following the ookami, very protective. Very good mutts. Franz looked back to his more wild kin, emitting a sharp whistle to them.

"Thanks for the help, boys. Now get outta here."

On command, said wild mutts scattered off into the woods as Franz rejoined his Jianghese buddies in the middle of the square.

"F-Fine, Yuk- Careful!" the red dressed soldier quickly lowered Yukime's own body with both hands on her shoulders, to protect both of them of a flying javelin that came from one of the trees. Noticing her own safety, Zetian quickly held the said javelin back, spinning it around her own body and tossing it back the way it came from.

The weapon was hurled, and in the air it became an almost solid charge of lightning, not only hitting the Atl guardsman who threw it, but also causing a small sparking explosion on the tree itself, definitely killing the man.

"We cannot lower our guards here, Vice Chairman, we-" she looked around, checking if Yukime and the others were still, indeed, safe. "We still have to free our own!"

The fighting goes on in a blink of an eye it seems, magic thrown around, guards flying through the air, but a hole is blasted into the side of the temple, allowing the magi who beat back the forces of Atl to rush inside and pull out their captured people.

However they must be quick and leave, they have no time to do anything else, the main forces are coming, and they have no way to defeat that large of a crowd.

The group managed to fight thier way through guards and strong magi that tried to defend thier prison. It was a long battle, but Jianghu emerged victorious in the end, beating most of the magi's and making thier way through the metal steel bars of the prison.

The determined Kitsune, still whipped and ripped, but happy about the outcome. Nobody was hurt too much, everyone made it out alive, and the lives of the innocent were protected. It was time to retreat, quickly, with Silky and the six civilians.

"Well done everyone. But no time to celebrate, we have to retreat, quickly! More are probably coming soon. Wu, protect the civilians, and Geese, keep Silky secure. We are bringing him home...", she said, commanding to retreat after thier goal was reached.

Having freed the civilians and the magi, Silky, the concerns of the red dressed soldier weren't lightened by any degree.

She has travelled to Gehenna and forth at an unhalted manner for the last two months, not only that but she had also faced the literal Ice Beast, and now, defeated and secured the life of those six Huli Maou civilians and Silky during the raid for their freedom.

If there was one thing that could describe Zetian, would be sheer exhaustion.

But she still needed to move back along the strike force, she still had to carry her own weight back to Jianghu, but at the very least that could be done now with the very sense of accomplishment, knowing she did take a part while keeping the safety of those who shared the same Empire as she did.

"Come, quickly!" the soldier said, patting a woman on the back as she motioned with a hand towards the dark of the woods. "We've cleared the path back to Jianghu already, we won't find any guards, but move!" she continued, basically pushing some of the freed civilians back to safety, as she did her best to stay behind them and along the group who came to actually free them, so she could also provide them some support.

After an encounter with false divinity, a champion of Jiuweihu storms his way through the Atl grounds as an army rouses to oust the Jianghese from these savage lands. He keeps up the hail of flame and glass on arriving nonmagi, maintaining the distraction he had hoped to be from the beginning. Those he strikes are blasted away by the shrapnel and the force of the exploding fireballs, and the shards that stick into their skin pulse a tiring heat into their muscles, incapacitating them with exhaustion.

"Abandon your God, for he has failed you! Xomac Tepin is a fool who'll get you all killed. I know it, you know it, and the rest of Gehenna knows it.

Abandon your fool, before you die little more than his servant. The Sin of Pride has run from battle because he knows he is mortal."

After that declaration from the Regent, the call to retreat rains down from above. Lin doesn't stay to clean up the mess -

he'd leave that for the Atl, as he leaves a trail of golden flames and glass in his wake.

They had to move, he could feel his body tremble as the walls caved in. All that mattered was getting his people out of this hell hole. All he knew was that their leader was a profane monster, a man swallowed by the power of corruption.

This was a warning of what any Arcane Mage could become.

He would never allow himself, nor Erenoa to fall into this kind of darkness.
"Move quickly, we don't have much time, we have to get all of you home safe and sound at all costs!! We won't let any of you die here"

Yukime walks back to the square, followed by a group of eight brave warriors, brave enough to face death, and defeating it. Six Civilians and Silky were freed. The Kitsune herself had ripped clothings and some cut wounds form apperantly very painful bloodwhips!

"Jianghu! We are back... We brough home the innocent, and Atl couldnt stop us. We will not falter, we will not let Xomac do what he wants. HE will face the consequences of his actions", she said, before sighing heavily, finally able to relax.
