  1. [18:44] La'Ahad Muhim says, "Hi Syracuse!~"
  2. [18:46] Strolled into the tavern, he'd look over and see La'Ahad and Artorius. Ah, they where speaking it was good to see them doing such. However, he'd not so subtly push into the seat between them. Though it was done with all smiles, nothing possessive about it.
  3.
  4. "Hello my little muse! What are the two of you discussing?"
  5. (Syracuse Fengari)
  6. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  7.
  8. [18:47] La'Ahad Muhim says, "He was telling me a bit about Azriel, and himself.~"
  9. [18:47] La'Ahad wags his tail, innocent as ever.
  10. (La'Ahad Muhim)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12.
  13. [18:47] Artorius says, "<well aren't we jealous>"
  14. [18:48] Syracuse Fengari asks, "Learning of Azreal from an Oscuri? What've you been telling him Artorius?"
  15. [18:48] Artorius says, "The truth."
  16. [18:48] Syracuse Fengari says, "The truth or the /truth/."
  17. [18:49] La'Ahad Muhim says, "He did tell me different people and groups had different takes. I'm happy to hear any of them."
  18. [18:50] Syracuse was clearly curious, most Oscuri worshipped the half-mad monster that Azreal became. A bad image to put in someone like La'Ahad's head of the being.
  19.
  20. He'd glance at La'Ahad, then he'd lean back to look at the wagging tail and his tail. All in order, all in order he'd think to himself with a nod.
  21.
  22. "Well, yes. There are about three distinct sects of Azrealism. I presume our green-tinged friend has told you the Valmasian sect?"
  23.
  24. He said that turning to Artorius with a quirked brow. Curious about what'd begun arlead.
  25. (Syracuse Fengari)
  26. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  27.
  28. [18:51] La'Ahad doesn't know which is which, and can't answer. He lets Artorias field that, sitting there as content as ever.
  29. (La'Ahad Muhim)
  30. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  31.
  32. [19:01] The boy would get up and go to the other side of the counter and look at Syracuse, it seemed he was the one that would talk about stuff now, but to let a Neries talk about Azrael was like punching his own father in the balls, he would not let Syra do that.
  33.
  34. "You know. Azraelism has just two points of view, and I think both have their problems. There's the Valmasian way, that for the most part seems pretty compelling, but I must say that we could at the very least tone down with the idea of keep using Necromancy as if it was what Azrael intended to give us. He created unlife, we created a fart we called necromancy that can be the way to master what my father intended."
  35.
  36. He seemed very light about talking bad about some aspects of Azraelism, after all his Faith came from somewhere more person.
  37.
  38. "Then we have the Feleran side, they are cool, I like them. But they should tone down with the "Nerieses are the plague of this land" mentality. The closest thing I had to a mother was a Neries, that died yesterday, Azrael take care of her soul, the first perfected undead."
  39.
  40. He seemed a little sad by that.
  41.
  42. "I still think Mortality is a hogwash, a mistake, an imperfection, but I don't think I should carve a bloody path in the name of my father for it."
  43. (Artorius)
  44. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  45.
  46. [19:02] Artorius says, "Also I'm the less moody of my brethren."
  47. [19:03] La'Ahad stops wagging his tail, mentally digesting the information, and with it the slightly more serious mood of discussion.
  48. (La'Ahad Muhim)
  49. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  50.
  51. [19:35] The man listened intently, raising a brow at the declaration of there only being two sides of Azrealism. Of course the Gray Church could be perceived as something different. Truthfully it was closer to Azreals vision than either of the degenerate messes that the Valmasians and Felerian's had concocted. At the mention of the late Archbiship the Neries would tilt his head in a moment of silent respect. To lose a leader of the church was one thing, to lose a perfect undead was another.
  52.
  53. "For one who claims such a connection to the late Archbishop. I find it sad that you don't see the church for what it is. A preaching of Azreal's original vision."
  54.
  55. As he spoke he'd shift from a slightly stand-offish position. Cleary he'd been insulted by the disregard of the Church's position as a religion based upon Azreal.
  56.
  57. "A vision that was relayed to us again after having been forgotten by the rageful Oscuri. Of course I understand the Feleran and Valmasian's in their anger. With the sealing of Azreal they lost what amounted to a parent. Who would seek revenge after such a thing? Yet, in that seeking they forgot what Azreal stood for. At-least, in part.
  58.
  59. He'd turn to La'Ahad during the next part, clearly this was a pitch of his beliefs. His fervor was palpable, he wanted the impression of Azrealism to be the one of his people that the Ookami knew. Not the one of the Oscuri or the general populace of Dawn believed.
  60.
  61. "Azreal was a kind being, the purest of the angels. Their leader for a time in fact, yet he couldn't accept that the cruel imperfections of Eternia. Kraus created the world with numerous cruel imperfections. Imperfections that pained the angel deeply. Each starving child, each ill elder, each orphan, widow, widower, each and every grieving man, woman, and child who suffered to the greatest imperfection imposed upon us. Death."
  62.
  63. As he spoke his voice began to echo with power. It bounced among the rafters, the walls, drifting around the room. The nascent melodious mage's power coming to bear in the delivery.
  64.
  65. "It is for this reason that he sacrificed himself for us, forging the /DIVINE ART/ of Necromancy," His emphasis on the importance of Necromancy was clear. Perhaps to distinctly showcase his disagreement with the Oscuri's viewpoint, ", Plummetting into madness and soiling his very soul for us. To /free/ us of the suffering of death. To keep us from losing our loved one's and losing ourselves to the process of reincarnation."
  66.
  67. As he spoke he'd become increasingly more animated, perhaps he viewed this as a sort of sermon. Perhaps he even intended to rise throught he ranks of the chuch and saw this as a chance to achieve a few converts.
  68.
  69. "This is the message that was given to us by the great prophet Sareen. It is this belief that we hold tru within the Gray Church. We seek to improve humanity, to unite it, to free it from it's sufferings. We desire to protect and nurture the flock of Humanity. To bring about the great dream of Azreal, a Utopia freed of imperfections!"
  70.
  71. His voice cracked like thunder for a moment, a faint echo of trumpets echoing dimly in the background. As he ended he took a few deep breaths. Recovering himself after his display of fervor. Then with a slight discoration of his cheeks he'd sit back down.
  72.
  73. "Well, that's what I believe atleast."
  74.
  75. (Syracuse Fengari)
  76. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  77.
  78. [19:45] Theodore says, "..."
  79. [19:45] Theodore says, "Loud, but fair."
  80. [19:49] La'Ahad listens to the sermon, feeling increasingly small as Syracuse's volume increased to match their passion for the topic. The Ookami was a bit skittish sometimes, and close quarters shouting was a bit of a trigger. Still, he held himself where he was, as he respected Syracuse and knew well enough that he had nothing to fear.
  81.
  82. Once the speech concludes, he finally pulls his tail from between his legs and lets it droop off the chair, his eyes half lidding as he gives careful consideration to what he has heard from both. It was clear that there was a lot of contention between the two, despite how much they had to agree on. Both of them agreed that Azrael was good, and that they made necromancy happen in order to fix death, as an issue with creation. Where they differed was difficult for him to pinpoint. Mostly it seemed to rest on whether necromancy was successful or not in its application. The Oscuri seemed to La'Ahad to feel that necromancy had failed, paling in imitation of the intended immortality. The Neries seemed more to feel that necromancy was successful, needing further refinement.
  83.
  84. La'Ahad was reticent to pick an opinion for himself. Since none of them disagreed on the matter of Azrael, he had to form an opinion on necromancy, and he pretty much already had, through the undead that he had already known. Most of them felt that their existence was incomplete. La'Ahad supposes that, if undeath is the choice of the undead, the Grey Church's views would be more useful. They wanted to live forever, and it was right to help them be more perfect to match Azrael's vision. If it was brought unwilfully, it was probably harmful, certainly not in Azrael's best interests considering the suffering it could cause. In those instances, the Oscuri's view would seem more logical.
  85.
  86. For all the time spent in thought, La'Ahad couldn't think of a very good reply other than to thank both of them for their information, and for keeping the proselytizing civil.
  87.
  88. "Thank you both for giving me your sides of things. I don't really know if I like one or the other any more. I think all your views have value, and nobody is any the lesser for having a different one. Either way, it sounds like Azrael was a truly great angel, well worthy of veneration."
  89. (La'Ahad Muhim)
  90. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  91.
  92. [19:52] Calmed down after his bit of passion he'd slide back into his more relaxed nature. It was what he was more comfortable with, with a smile he'd shoot a finger gun at the Ookami. After all respecting knowledge and other's customs was one of Sareen's tenets.
  93.
  94. "That's thinking like a Dreamer."
  95. (Syracuse Fengari)
