  1. >”It’s nice of you to volunteer, Anon. Sorry that I bothered you the other day, I haven’t had any volunteers for a while.”
  2. >You shrug your shoulders while walking right beside her when going inside the animal shelter.
  3. >”I really do appreciate you doing this. I can do some of it without help. The cats are the ones that are a bit of a problem.”
  4. >One of the cat’s walk by and start to climb on a set of boxes scribbled “winter provisions” on the side of it.
  5. >He then goes on top of a shelf and perches right at the edge of it.
  6. >Fluttershy gives out a tiresome sigh when approaching the cat, but is unable to reach him.
  7. >”Like that. I just hate to do mundane things when I have more important stuff, like giving Loki here his shots.”
  8. >She looks at you, unsettled about something.
  9. >”I really hate to annoy you, but can you—“
  10. >You waive your hand up, gesturing that it isn’t an issue.
  11. >”You’re a lifesaver, Anon.”
  12. >She gives you a brief hug before walking to the back.
  13. >You look up, trying to threaten the cat with your stare.
  14. >Loki doesn’t even acknowledge this as he licks his own paw.
  15. “GET THE FUCK DOWN!”
  16. >A metal clang can be traced to the doorway leading to the back.
  17. >The cat casually stops licking himself and looks directly at you.
  18. “FUCKING JUMP! JUMP! GET THE FUCK DOWN FROM THERE!”
  19. >He scans the area before looking back at you.
  20. >”A-Anon?” Fluttershy quietly asks from the doorway.
  21. “FUCKING JUMP! JUMP!!”
  22. >Loki looks at the boxes then at the ground, unsure if he should do anything.
  23. “DO IT, YOU BITCH! DO IT!”
  24. >”A-Anon, I don’t think he likes it. Can’t you--?”
  25. “JUMP! GAAAGH!”
  26. >He does inch his way to the corner leading for the boxes, only to stop and scoot back on the shelf.
  27. “DO IT! YOU FUCKING PUSSY!”
  28. >”M-maybe you could try to—“
  29. “JUMP!”
  30. >He stretches over the side and onto the first box.
  31. >Once his paws touch it, he hastily runs off and descends the towering supplies.
  32. >Fluttershy moves right beside him, picking up the black cat that was once escaping her.
  33. >”Uh, thanks Anon.”
  34. >You just shrug your shoulders once more, satisfied that you helped out.
  35.
  36. >It’s your second day helping Fluttershy out.
  37. >Today has been uneventful.
  38. >You played around with a few dogs and cleaned out the hamsters’ habitat, but nothing so far with the cats.
  39. >”Hey Anon, could you get Pumpkin for me? He’s easy to see him since he is an orange cat.”
  40. >You nod.
  41. >”Great. I need to set up his bath in the other room. I think he went into the back room.”
  42. >She points to the doorway she was in from yesterday.
  43. >You walk into the back room.
  44. >Nothing out of the ordinary here. All around the walls are various animal posters and a filing cabinet right beside a desk at the corner to your left.
  45. >There is a patented black office chair facing the opposite direction.
  46. >Resting on the seat of the chair is the orange cat Fluttershy instructed you to get.
  47. >From where you’re standing, Pumpkin is curled up, but has his head aimed at your direction.
  48. >As you approach him, Pumpkin opens up his eyes and looks directly at you.
  49. “WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU LOOKING AT!?”
  50. >He immediately gets up and darts to the doorway.
  51. “DON’T FUCKING RUN AWAY FROM ME!”
  52. >You follow him as he sprints into the room.
  53. “I’LL END YOU! WHERE’D YOU FUCKING GO!?”
  54. >Fluttershy enters through the front door.
  55. >”Anon? What’s going on?” She asks when setting the small plastic tub on the ground.
  56. >You look around and see his tail wagging from the outside of the box.
  57. “YOU SON OF A BITCH!”
  58. >”A-Anon?!” Fluttershy skittishly asks from the sidelines.
  59. >The cat runs out of the box and stops right by Fluttershy’s feet.
  60. >She attentively picks him up and holds him in her arms.
  61. “FUCK!”
  62. >”W-well, thank you for getting him.”
  63.
  64. >It’s been rough for the last couple of days, especially with Fluttershy letting you near any cat until today.
  65. >For the last three days, she finally let you not only care for a cat, but you’ll take care of one for the weekend.
  66. >She pets a white cat that is currently resting in her arms.
  67. >”Okay, I’ll be gone for the weekend and the shelter seems to be doing fine. Again, thank you for helping me for the last few days, especially with getting some volunteers to help around.”
  68. >You’re not sure on how you did it; maybe you’re good with persuading people.
  69. >”Any who, you’ll be taking care of Fuzzles here for the next two days. It’s nice of you to watch over one of the cats, especially when I thought that this might’ve been a—“
  70. >Fuzzles jumps out of her arms and starts to run around the house.
  71. >”Sorry. He likes to look around before settling in. It’s his way of getting used to—“
  72. >You follow him in your room and see him creeping to the closet you left open.
  73. “DON’T FUCKING GO IN MY CLOSET!”
  74. >She jumps up and runs out of the room.
  75. >Fuzzles runs past Fluttershy and goes inside the small cage.
  76. >Fluttershy sighs.
  77. >”Anon, please, try not to scare Fuzzles.”
  78. >You clear your throat when nodding your head.
  79. >She hesitantly rubs her left shoulder as she walks away.
  80. >”It’s just for the weekend....”
  81.
  82. >It’s Monday. The entire weekend went by without any problems. Fuzzles either just goes outside for some fresh air or just lays around.
  83. >Fluttershy should be coming over to pick him up any minute now.
  84. >You’re currently sitting on the couch with Fuzzles sitting right beside you, currently watching something on TV.
  85. >Fuzzles’ ears perk up when someone knocks on your front door.
  86. >You get up; knowing whom it could be on the other side.
  87. >”Fuzzles, is everything fine?” Fluttershy runs in as the door is unlocked.
  88. >Like the lazy furball he is, he slides his head over to look at her.
  89. >Fluttershy scoops Fuzzles from the couch and carries her over.
  90. >”Thank you for doing a great job. I was almost worried that...” She clears her throat. “A-anyway, I should put her in the cage, I wonder if she misses the shelter.”
  91. >When Fluttershy kneels down to put her in the cage, Fuzzles shoots past it to stand by the doors that lead to the patio in your backyard.
  92. >”M-maybe he wants to get a good look before he leaves?”
  93. >Just to get this over with, you walk over and grab the doorknob.
  94. “GET THE FUCK OUTSIDE! RUN!” You yell out when opening the door.
  95. >Fuzzles walks no more than a meter away from the door.
  96. “YAAGH!”
  97. >He scoots forward before stopping.
  98. “FUCKER!”
  99. >That one word was enough for him to finally walk away.
  100. >Once you close the door, you look at Fluttershy’s crossed arms and displeasure at what you just did. This appears to be an odd message to you.
  101. >”We need to talk.”
  102.
  103. >The two of you are sitting around the dining table that is set up in the next room.
  104. >For whatever reason she seems to be uncomfortable.
  105. >”I appreciate your help for the last week, but... I just think that, for the best of the kittens, is that you don’t come around anymore.
  106. >What? She’s cutting you off like that? After all the time that you wasted that could have been done for video games?
  107. >”It’s that, whenever you’re around the cats, it would be unsettling for all of us and possibly might be worse if this continues on any further. I’m sorry, Anon. I really am.”
  108. >She’s not sorry, at least not yet.
  109. “YOU ARE A FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT! I’M GOING TO RAPE YOU!”
  110. >Fear immediately flows through her body. She sits motionless in her seat.
  111. >”I... I-I-“ She stutters out, baffled to what you just said.
  112. “FUCK YOU!”
  113. >She jumps back from your sudden outburst.
  114. >Fluttershy sits on the floor, still in shock of what may happen.
  115. “RUN! FUCKING RUN! YAAAGH!” You shout out when standing from your seat.
  116. >She doesn’t waste time when getting up, only to trip on the way when she races to the front door.
  117. >You enter the living room and watch her backing away, making strong eye contact while she does the same with those vibrant eyes.
  118. “DON’T FUCKING STARE AT ME!”
  119. >”Eep!” Fluttershy gets back up and grabs the cage with Fuzzles in it.
  120. >She barges through the door and runs down the street, never stopping or even making a sudden glance at you.
  121. “YOU FUCKING BITCH!” You shout from the doorway as she passes by the third house.
  122. >Your neighbor just looks at the running girl, fading away in the distance when crossing the road, almost being struck by a car.
  123. >He looks at you, indecisive to everything that just happened in a few seconds.
  124. >You just waive at him before going back inside and closing the door.
  125. >Another day, another uncontrollable outburst that is beyond your capability to manage it.
