Storify, you can do better than this.

I'd like to start of by saying I love the service that Storify provides. However, this exchange with a Storify representative left me a little concerned about their understanding of anonymity online.

Context for my email to them:
If you try to use Storify over tor or a VPN, you will likely have problems building stories from twitter. I tried to explain to them I was having issues, and they let me know that the problem is with twitter. This makes sense. Twitter's connectivity via tor has become pretty bad lately over tor.

Here's the response I got:

As an Anon, you're probably using TOR or using several VPNs. The Twitter search happens in the front-end. Hence, it's your connection with the Twitter API that is timing out.

You should probably disable the VPN ( we do not log IP addresses ) and try again.
