- 3. Ride Transcript
- Basically, this is the ride transcript. Stuff may change to suit the whole ride into ROBLOX, but it's the main event.
- Footage of the ride is as follows here for the ROBLOX version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1p3SBYfOfM (Start at 0:55 for the audio, up to the end. The safety section goes from 0:55 to 1:24, in which after, the ride starts at 1:25.)
- To start things off, after the main pre-show (which is Pre-Show 2), the riders will then be entering into the auditorium, which will house the main event. When the riders enter, they will be entering through the left side of the auditorium, if the platform is facing the screen.
- Filled with about 30-35 motion seats (to fit the 50 player server size), the auditorium has a big panned screen, which will be moving, much like D-BOX movie theatre seats, as well as the platform, when the side platforms start to retract and lift off. As well, 4D effects, like bubbles, water mist, strobe lighting, wind, smell, ambient lighting, and 7.1 channel surround sound.
- Once the riders are seated, and buckled (with a no-jump script, which can be found in the ROBLOX free models library like this: https://www.roblox.com/library/492949559/NoJump-32K-Takes-FE-Compatible, which can have the operator in the back room disable the riders from jumping off the seats. Speaking of which, the operator seat in the control room can control the GUI, which is mainly used to control the auditorium. The process to do so is later in the outline.), the operator plays the final safety reminder, and while it is playing, the operator activates the NoJump feature, to prevent the riders from jumping off while the ride is moving.
- Also, while the final safety reminder is playing, the operator raises the side platforms, as when they are fully raised, the Start Ride function will be ready, when the audio is finally finished. After the platforms are raised, and the final safety reminder has been fully played, the operator presses the Start Ride button, and then the ride begins moving on it's own, as like in the footage in the link shown above.
- The ride then uses all the effects and motion elements, as well as the footage being shown on the screen. But, since ROBLOX doesn't have video yet, the motion theatre secretly brings the riders down to the actual experience via a lift that goes down as it bring the motion platform to the actual experience. The operator and staff are able to monitor the situation at hand via ride cameras onboard the motion platform as it goes through the experience on an invisible rollercoaster track, while keeping the motion seats moving as it goes through the ride sequence. Also, let's not forget the motion platform even twists and turns as it goes through the track. At some points, it is necessary to have the motion platform fixed at a certain angle, and some scripts will auto-correct the rotation to the angle necessary for that section of the ride. Hopefully, the footage in the link can be researched on as it is being developed.
- At around 6:05 to 6:10 in the video, as the fireworks go off, the ride then begins to end at the point where it all started originally, back at the same lift. As the screen darkens, the lift goes up, as it brings the motion platform back to the original angle, as it faces the screen again. At the crescendo (which is at either 6:13 or 6:14 in the video), the motion platform locks into place, and the floor where the lift is becomes solid, just so that no secrets were revealed of the lift.
- When the logo finally disappears as the ride audio ends, the side platforms are then lowered down to connect with the sides of the motion platform. Once the platforms are in place, and open, the outro music becomes this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqVY5Zy_oWM, as I (Justin) then thank the riders for joining on today's ride. The operator then disables the NoJump, to let the riders jump off and walk over to the right side of the motion platform, and then onto the exit, which is through the Angry Birds Store gift shop, where designer clothes can be purchased via Robux of high-quality Angry Birds shirts made specially for Thorpe Park.
