- Operating Motorized Vehicle Under The Influence
- The act or use of operating any type motorized vehicle or motorcycle whether it be on public roads, air-space, or water-space, whilst being influenced by alcohol, narcotics or any substance that hinders one’s physical or mental judgment.
- Legal acts or Penalties to be taken place:
- Minimum: Citation to be issued ranging from $750-$1500, and/or 15-20years in jail((minutes)), along with a suspension of Operator’s license ranging from either 3-4 years((hours)).
- Maximum: Citation to be issued ranging from $2000-$3500, mandatory 16-25years in jail((minutes)), along with the revocation of the driver’s license.
- Failure to provide a valid license
- The act of operating a motorized vehicle or motorcycle without an approved license from one of the state’s local DMV.
- Legal acts or Penalties to be taken place:
- Minimum: Citation to be issued ranging from $750-$1200, and/or the operator’s vehicle being seized/impounded for 7-10 days((hours)), and/or 15 days in jail((minutes)).
- Maximum: Citation to be issued ranging from $950-$1750, and/or the operator’s vehicle being seized/impounded for 8-12days((hours)), and/or 30 days in jail((minutes)).
- Operating a motorized vehicle below the age limit without a permit.
- The use of a vehicle whilst the operator is below the age of eighteen (18) is strictly prohibited unless they’re being supervised by a certified driving instructor or government personnel. If the operator doesn’t possess a legal permit which must be granted by the DMV and verified by the State’s Government in order for to operate legally.
- Legal acts or Penalties to be taken place:
- Minimum: Citation to be issued ranging from $500-$750, and/or 5-10 hours in jail((minutes)), mandatory seizure/impounding of the operated vehicle for 2-5 days((hours)).
- Maximum: Citation to be issued ranging from $800-$1500, mandatory 10-15 hours in jail((minutes)), mandatory seizure/impounding of the operated vehicle for 5-10 days((hours))
- Driving on a suspended license.
- The act of operating/using a motor vehicle while their license is:
- Suspended, temporarily revoked, or cancelled.
- Legal acts or Penalties to be taken place:
- Minimum: Citation to be issued from $50-$750, and/or revocation of the operator’s license.
- Maximum: Citation to be issued from $500-$950, revocation of the operator’s license, impounding of the operative’s vehicle from 5-10days((hours)).
- Negligence of a Motorized Vehicle
- The operation of a motorized vehicle whilst on the public that in a condition where it is:
- Is Hazardous to pedestrians nearby and also the operator themselves; or
- Vehicle is being misused and not being used in safe and healthy manner;
- Has the potential endanger life, the property or other motorist, animals, or persons.
- Legal acts or Penalties to be taken place:
- Minimum: Mandatory impounding of operative’s vehicle for 10 days((hours)), citation to be issued for $1000, and/or license suspension for 3-5months((hours)).
- Maximum: Mandatory impounding of operative’s vehicle for 10 days((hours)), citation to be issued for $1500, and license suspension for 6-12months((hours)).
- Failure to stop/yield
- Operating a motorized vehicle in such that is:
- i. Causes a hindrance to government personnel who are using lights and sirens to indicate they in an emergency, which indicates the operator should pull aside to right-hand side of the road to create a way of passage for them.;
- ii. Slowing down or stopping completely at stop non-inevitable when coming up to marked “stop” signs or symbols.;
- iii. Prevents civilians or pedestrians from using the designated crossings at any time or given moment which may or may not cause any form of injury or death.
- iv. Failing to stop red traffic lights.
- Legal acts or Penalties to be taken place:
- Minimum: Citation to be issued ranging from $750-$1000, and/or suspension of the operative for 5-10months((hours)).
- Maximum: Citation to be issued ranging from $750-$1000, mandatory revocation of operative’s license, and/or 10month in jail((hours))
- Fleeing/eluding from a motorized incident
- The being a member of a party which is involved in a collision of two more vehicles, a pedestrian, and then proceeding to leave the scene without providing:
- i. Identify one’s self;
- ii. Attempting to contact medical or any other government personnel for assistance.
- iii. Being granted permission to leave the scenario by an LEO or medical personnel with a written, verbal or electronic statement.
- Legal acts or Penalties to be taken place:
- Minimum: Mandatory imprisonment of up to 15-20years((minutes)), and seizure/impounding of the operated vehicle for up to 5-10years((hours)), and revocation of the operative’s license.
- Maximum: Mandatory imprisonment of up to 35-40years((minutes)), and seizure/impounding of the operated vehicle for up to 5-10years((hours)), and revocation of the operative’s license.
- Operating a Motorized Vehicle Recklessly
- The operation of a motorized vehicle on the public with complete disregard other motorist, civilians or pedestrian’s life or property. Acts such as:
- i. Excessive speeding in crowded areas.
- ii. Constantly fleeing/eluding from multiple motorized incidents.
- iii. Causing harm or damage to an entity operating the machine, passengers, civilians, or even private or public property.
- iv. Evading law enforcement personnel with or without regard to the traffic regulations/laws.
- Legal acts or Penalties to be taken place:
- Minimum: Citation to be issued ranging from $1500-$2500, and/or 20-35 months in jail((minutes)), and/or suspension of driver’s license for 5-10 months((hours)).
- Maximum: Citation to be issued ranging from $1500-$2500, and 35-45 months in jail((minutes)), revocation of driver’s licensee.
- Failure to use Caution whilst driving
- The act of operating a motorized vehicle on public roads whilst the operator has failed to;
- i. Accurately perform their duties as a driver.
- ii. Fails to ensure their own safety and for other civilians and motorist.
- iii. Operating a Motorized vehicle in the incorrect lane.
- iv. Taking illegal shortcuts.
- v. Switching lanes whilst operating a vehicle without indicating using signals.
- Legal acts or Penalties to be taken place:
- Minimum: Citation of up $850 to be issued or verbal warning(($1)).
- Maximum: Citation of $1000 to be issued, and/or suspension of license for up to 3-4months((hours)).
- Violation of Speed Law
- The operation of a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding the posted, or otherwise legal, speed limit.
- Prohibited Turn
- Also considered as U-turning is turning your car 180 degrees onto a street that goes in the opposite direction. The operator makes a U-turns to go back in the direction they came. A U-turn considered as illegal/prohibited when:
- 1. When you are unable to see 200 feet in each direction because obstacles are blocking your view
- 2. When you are at or on a railroad crossing
- 3. When you are on a divided highway that has a curb, two sets of double yellow lines, or other dividing section between you and the other side
- 4. When doing so could cause you to be hit by other vehicles
- 5. When you are on a one-way street
- Legal acts or Penalties to be taken place:
- Minimum: Citation of $750 to be issued, and/or a suspension of the operator’s license for up to 8-10 months((hours)).
- Maximum: Citation of $950 to be issued, and a suspension of the operator’s license for up to 10months((hours)).
- Operating a Motorized vehicle without headlights
- The use of Motorized vehicle functional headlights on public roads between the hours of 06:30 PM to 06:00 AM. The other conditions which apply to this are:
- 1. During unstable weather conditions such snow, fog or rain.
- 2. The operator is using the machinery in a tunnel, park garages, within alleyways.
- Legal acts or Penalties to be taken place:
- Minimum: Citation to be issued at $250.
- Maximum: Citation to be issued at $750.
