Hey, guys! I hate to say it, but I’ve got some bad news. Things have been getting increasingly busy and hectic for me recently. Between needing to concentrate on my schoolwork and my artwork again, I’m going to be stepping down as a mod and dropping my characters. I wanted to stick with Ink City as long as I possibly could, but I really can‘t dedicate as much time to it as I did when I started.

When I started Ink City, I really had no idea it would become so successful! You guys took my weird little concept to some crazy places, it’s been a weird adventure and I’m so glad to have been a part of it. I admit I wasn’t prepared for a lot of the responsibilities, but the other mods have helped me so much in making this work. This game has been such a blessing in my life for the past year and a half. I can’t even fully explain how grateful I am for the community we’ve built- I’ve become friends with so many amazing people and shared in some great memories! I couldn’t have asked for a better game, and it honestly bums me out that I can’t keep up anymore. I apologize for dropped threads and plots I never got to do or finish with some of you.. I think that as things started getting more hectic for me, I didn’t want to consider dropping, so I tried to hang on for as long as I could, but wasn’t really doing a whole lot toward the end of it. I was letting more people down by not admitting that I couldn’t handle it anymore.

Now, onto the most important question: What does this mean for the game?
To be honest, we’re not completely sure yet. Me and the other mods have been coming up with a lot of ideas of what’s going to happen now that I‘m not actively playing, and I’m going to try and help with whatever changes that entails. Even if I’m not going to be an active member or mod, I’m still going to be around as a consultant and occasional art person, and I’ll still be in AIM/labo! So I’m not really leaving, exactly.

I do want to mention one of the ideas that the mods and I have had about a possible change after my leave, and we wanted to make it publicly known as soon as possible because it would be so drastic.
We have the entire modchat conversation saved and we’d like to share it! There’s a summarized version HERE: , which contains the most important bits of the chat; and a full-length version HERE: which contains the same things along with every little ramble we went off on. I’m not going to talk about it too much, I don’t want to sway anyone’s judgment on way or the other, just read it for yourselves! It’s really important.
And feel free to discuss it with us! By no means is any of this happening right away, but we wanted to make the possibility know ASAP.

Well, in closing.. I can’t really say this is goodbye. It’s more like a “See you later”.  Whatever comes along next, I’m hoping for the best!
