  1. Grandia II Low Level Challenge
  2.
  3. GOAL: Complete the game with as low levels as possible
  4.
  5. RULES:
  6. 1) All EXP gain must be minimized, so the only encounters that can be fought are the ones that the game forces you to.
  7. 2) To minimize EXP gain, only one party member may survive any given battle that is fought.
  8. 3) To further reduce EXP gain, if a wandering monster must be fought to open a doorway, all but one monster must be slain before running away; this should result in only one monster (two, if in a train) being alive to reap rewards from.
  9.
  10. STRATEGY:
  11. Over the course of the game, I will designate roles. As of now, the following role is:
  12. Ryudo: Third Wheel or Healbot; does whatever needs to be done over the course of the battle or heals when party composition changes
  13. Elena/Millenia: Burnbot; spams Burn, Burnflame, and Burnstrike. Heals if the option is available
  14. Roan: Healbot; spams heal spells as needed, may defend or evade if nothing else to do
  15. Tio: Itembot; spams items whenever they're needed, which may be often
  16.
  17. Generally, I will be avoiding spending more MC and SC than necessary. The only moves I intend to max are Tenseiken Slash, Beast Fang Cut, and Lotus Flower, in no order of priority. For mana eggs, I definitely need Healer+, Allhealer, Burn, Burnflame, and Burnstrike. For skills, I don't know what to do, I don't know how many I can get. The ones I know I'll need are Boomflame Chant, Zapflame Chant, and Wizardy Chant. Toughness might be usefull as well for two or three bosses. The main limiting factor is that I don't know how many skills I have to work with.
  18.
  19. *****SPOILERS BELOW*****
  20. My main concerns are the Eye of Valmar, Melfice, and Valmar Core. We shall see how things develop as we go.
