  1. [21:07] Katrin exclaims, "-Ooohoooho. I almost forgot! I saw the -neatest- thing!"
  2. [21:07] Ramsey says, "hm"
  3. [21:07] Ramsey asks, "Hm?"
  4. [21:07] Katrin says, "Okay, okay..."
  5. [21:07] Katrin asks, "So I was walking out way east, past Osrona, right?"
  6. [21:07] Ramsey says, "Right."
  7. [21:08] Katrin asks, "Near this lil' beach thing. And I saw this -huuuge- fish guy, right?"
  8. [21:08] Ramsey says, "Right."
  9. [21:08] Katrin says, "So I do what I do, try to drum up a lil' business."
  10. [21:08] Katrin says, "And he had this -sword-."
  11. [21:09] Katrin, eyes bright with wonder, gesticulates excitedly.

  13. "Rams. Rams this sword was -alive-! It moved! Think about it!"

  17. [21:13] Ramsey crossed his arms over his chest, tapping his foot as he thought momentarily to himself. Katrin said she'd seen this living sword? He pauses.

  19. ".. Did it like- Have eyes? Did it blink at you or something?"

  21. A living weapon. Would it be organic or otherwise?

  25. [21:14] The excitable artificer shakes her head. "Nah. No eyes. It was like. It was part of a tentacle from something way, way deep in the ocean. But it got put in this weapon with this junk called soul steel. And it was still alive."

  27. It had certainly stirred her already eager pursuit of the unordinary and grand in terms of artificing. There was no doubt about that.

  31. [21:16] "Let me guess. You already took the hook, line and sinker?" He'd grin lightly as the excitement practically exuded off of her frame. "Time for the mighty Kay to make a living weapon."

  33. Soul Steel, though?

  35. ".. Never heard of that metal, admittedly."
  36. (Ramsey)

  39. [21:19] The artificer practically cackles again, clapping her hands together. "Damn straight!

  41. And yeah. This Soul Steel stuff. I heard about it. This guy said you could find it where the spirit world and the real world crossed over. Now, I don't know all of what that means, but it sure sounds like a lead to me. Got told it's really good for making stuff like this."

  43. Unless the giant fishman was yanking her chain, yet he seemed earnest enough. If strange.

  47. [21:24] The young man brought his chin up and stared upon the clouds for a moment in thought. "Soul Steel.. I'd guess in places where the barrier of the spirit world wanes.. It'd turn regular metal into the stuff." He'd snap his fingers and nod his head.

  49. "I swear it sounds familiar... I'm a metal lunatic, and all." He'd take some time to reconsider if he actually knew anything about it.

  51. Initially he'd gone and told her he'd never heard of it - But was that actually the case? A pause ensues. "I'll have to check my books back home.

  53. If it's half-decent at making weapons thrive like a living organism? It's got to be beyond value."

  57. [21:27] "I might've heard it somewhere in passing, but I got no idea other than what the Captain told me." He had claimed to have been a captain. That's the best she's got to go off of.

  59. "If you find anything? You let me know. This thing sounds like it could be good for a lot. If you or me or we can find out where to get our hands on it, then-"

  61. For emphasis she gestures forcefully, rather than with words, and smacks her fist into her palm.

  63. "Who knows! Might work a treat for what you were wanting too, if we can find the right living thing to go with it."

  67. [21:32] Ramsey nodded his head, giving a little bit of a grin. "I'll look for it and other rare metals about Esshar. If we can get a lead, maybe we can start hunting for materials and other rarities."

  69. .. She was interested in something that'd bring weapons to life.
  70.  
  71. Ramsey was interested in a strong enough metal to hold two kinds of elemental infusion- Water and lightning alike. There's a tapping of his foot before he spoke, "I'll be sure to find what we're looking for, regardless. Might make for a fun adventure or two."

  75. [21:38] Her roving artificing might not have been the most lucrative thing, but it did bring about interesting opportunities. It was far less likely she'd have spied something quite so inspiring sitting on her hands in a city.

  77. "Great. You let me know what you find, yeah? Even if it ends up taking some elbow grease to get. Nothing good comes for free.

  79. ...Oh. Yeah. You end up getting that hat or cloak yet?"
