  1. Thanks Mark,
  2.
  3. To my knowledge not a single person involved is being malicious, vindictive or wants to waste time or money.
  4. I want this project done 3 months ago, you want this project done 3 months ago.
  5.
  6. As I mentioned to you I have been managing and involved with complex technology projects the past 20+ years, I get it.
  7. I totally understand, appreciate and sympathize how fun projects can be.
  8.
  9. Please dont interpret my brevity as anger, I am being explicit so we are not working on this thru the holidays.
  10.
  11. 1 - Doors, Moving door hinges
  12. pt- I noticed they make steel 3" -vs- the steel 3.5" (i assume these).
  13. If it is smart to use the 3" hinges to reduce the protrusion please do so, you also mentioned hidden hinges.
  14. I am open to whatever makes sense as long as the outcome is agreed and met.
  15.
  16. 2 - Doors Match lower door Pressure Rod
  17. pt - Dont worry about this, just leave as is.
  18.
  19. 3 - Doors Add-on door hinge stops to ensure no damage to lighting
  20. pt - If this is what you mean.
  21. I would prefer just putting a matching pressure rod on the 2ndary door so it matches. The adjustable rod will ensure no damage to lighting.
  22.
  23. 4 - Pressure wash and paint exterior concrete walkway OUTSIDE of screen porch
  24. pt - The expected and acceptable outcome is that the slab does not look to be damaged, no pitting, no burn marks etc...
  25. I am a bit concerned about the word 'paint' as I am uncertain what you mean.
  26. You mentioned there is a coating product you were thinking to use and that you would send me info about it.
  27. I can accept that as long as the texture is similar to concrete, not sticky, not slippery and will withstand the elements for a few years.
  28.
  29. The contract defines the 2 slabs adjacent to covered patio are to be replaced.
  30. As it looked repairable, we agreed if another solution could achieve the expected outcome we would accept that.
  31. The slab has already been pressure washed at least twice by your team.
  32. Whichever path you decide to invest in be it cleaning, coating, or covering must ensure the expected and acceptable outcome is met.
  33. If that endeavor fails to reach the outcome, those costs are not my responsibility.
  34.
  35. 5 - Trim/Wood/Door Sand/Painting - Sand / Touch-up paint areas that need attention due to paint runs or mal-practice
  36. pt - Agreed
  37.
  38. 6a - Ceiling lights recessed
  39. Day 1 we agreed on 4k LED recessed lights, not lights protruding from ceiling. Everyone agreed they understood this.
  40. While the ceiling was open my assumption was that whatever needed to be addressed would be addressed.
  41. This was not addressed the first time nor the 2nd time the ceiling was open.
  42.
  43. Provide an example so I can see what you are proposing with the 1/4 inch protrusion so we can hopefully compromise.
  44.
  45. 6b - Ceiling lights position
  46. pt -
  47. See attached pictures, and hopefully this current orientation diagram is accurate in your email app
  48. - - - - f i r e - - - -
  49. - - - a - - x - - - -
  50. - - - - - f - - - - - -
  51. - - - b - - y - - - -
  52.
  53. Originally AB and XY lights were equidistant to the central fan, so we did not ask for them to be moved.
  54. The fan is acceptably centered to the fireplace, as you noted we did mark the positioning during planning.
  55. Likewise lights AB are on the outer side of the fireplace, which is our preference.
  56.
  57. You can see in the attached picture the positioning decision of lights XY in relation to lights AB, the fireplace, and the fan had to be made to reach the current configuration.
  58. Currently AB and XY are not equidistant to the central fan nor is the fireplace central to AX & BY.
  59.
  60. While you were here I said that if you can fix 6a and 6b in one go via reworking lights AB then I can accept that lights ABXY are not on the outer side of the fireplace.
  61.
  62. I really dont want that ceiling reworked a 3rd time, but I cant accept a janky outcome.
  63. Your email alluded that 6b was a pre-existing condition. I justified why I dont agree with you on 6b and hope you can reconsider the situation.
  64.
  65. 7 - White brick
  66. pt - So we have already discussed the brick and roma stuff a bit, I respect that you are not comfortable with the risk of unknown product.
  67. Rather than going over the past and how we got here let's first see what you are proposing with Sherwin Williams, we have been buying paint from them for yeas on multiple houses.
  68. If it is the same rep that suggested wood deck stain for the ceiling please use a different one.
  69.

  72. Mr./Mrs. XXXXX,

  74.
  75.
  76. Hope your week is going well-
  77.
  78.
  79.
  80. We are more than happy to address most of the concerns we discussed during our last visit! To include:
  81.
  82.
  83.
  84. - Moving door hinges
  85.
  86. - Match lower door Pressure Rod
  87.
  88. - Add-on door hinge stops to ensure no damage to lighting
  89.
  90. - Pressure wash and paint exterior concrete walkway OUTSIDE of screen porch (not to include interior of screen porch)
  91.
  92. - Sand / Touch-up paint areas that need attention due to paint runs or mal-practice
  93.
  94. - Finish electrical trim out
  95.
  96. - Address siding problems(according to approved insurance) once agreed upon by you and adjuster
  97.
  98.
  99.
  100. However, regarding the lighting inside the screen porch enclosure, I cannot find any documentation discussing the moving of the lighting, if you have some please forward it to me and I will take a look! Also, according to the electrician, there is a lighting support bar in the ceiling that is above the lights that will need to be removed, which will force us to take down 75% of the ceiling wood. However, we have a solution that will accommodate a NEAR FLUSH light mount, it will sit off the ceiling wood about ¼” and I think will be a good solution for everyone.
  101.
  102.
  103.
  104. Regarding the painting of the fireplace, I am not familiar with the application process or brand of the product you are referring to, unfortunately I am uncomfortable in applying this to the fireplace as I am unfamiliar and cannot warranty something I am unfamiliar with. However, I would be willing to discuss with my Sherwin Williams representative on what he would suggest in a product/method to obtain your desired look!
  105.
  106.
  107.
  108. From what I understand, the location of the fireplace was specifically marked on the floor and the agreed desire was for Providence Restoration to build the fireplace according to that location, making the lighting location a byproduct of that choice. We are more than happy to accommodate moving the lighting for you and replacing those couple boards needed, we will just need to adjust the pricing accordingly for you guys.
  109.
  110.
  111.
  112. Let me know what you think and if I missed anything!
  113.
  114.
  115.
  116. Thanks so much!
