Saw your tweet a few mins ago and felt inclined to reach out.

My intention was never to insult you personally or make you feel like you shouldn't share things, and in fact I'm surprised you took any notice of what I said at all. I'm just a random guy who strongly disagrees with the work you are doing, and has the right to speak about this publicly, but it was absolutely never my intention to try and discourage you from sharing. As much as I disagree with your approach, we are both hackers who want to do go for the world and share things.

For what it's worth, I'd already amended a comment on the article which was in bad taste, and made a public reply admitting this. [1] Perhaps I'm wrong, perhaps you really couldn't care less about my article and I misinterpreted your tweet, but I couldn't justify myself ethically if I didn't at least try to reach out and say something.
