- As she got rid of the empty rifle, Carolina drew a weapon she'd nabbed from the armory, one she was saving for a rainy day. Its small, tubular handle sat comfortably in her glove, and once activated made an arm-length blade of hard light manifest from each side of the handle, meeting past her knuckles in a pair of triangular points, crackling with channeled power.
- The next time Baiken swung, Carolina met her with force. From then on, nothing existed but the two of them.
- Each blow took everything. Each parry took everything. Carolina ducked a chain blade swing and responded with her energy sword, only to be pushed aside by Baiken's katana. Both hits could have killed. Wouldn't be the last time.
