  51. 1. Leads and coordinates assigned and/or identified projects and program initiatives to achieve strategic alignment with divisional and overall Beacon goals to grow volume, value and revenue through development of business plans and opportunities by:

  53. Providing technical Cybersecurity and System Administration support to Beacon Health System though security systems engineering and testing, research, and threat evaluation support. This role will directly deal with day to day threat management. Including, but not limited to; monitoring, analyzing, detecting, and responding to Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks.
  54. Configure, Manage and Monitor Data Loss Prevention System(s), SIEM Log management coordination and Advance threat Management solutions.
  55. Provide operational support, including systems and network security testing in an operational environment and coordinating and resolving issues with internal and external customers and other appropriate personnel.
  56. Develop and apply advanced methods, theories, and research techniques for the investigation and resolution of complex project requirements and technical specifications for software development projects. Demonstrate expertise in the installation, configuration, and administration of devices in support of Cybersecurity solutions all within the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) framework of Data Security.

  58. 2. Plans, manages and administers business operations and activities as directed in accordance with goals and objectives by:

  60. Assisting Information Technology managers with leading on-site operations improvement efforts and coach other leaders in the development of operations improvement capabilities with emphasis on Cyber and Information Security and Privacy matters.
  61. Participating in the development, recommendation and implementation of administrative policies, procedures, quality plans (including standards) and operational strategies.
  62. Assisting in the implementation of new or updated IT software systems.
  63. Assisting with new sun-setting of legacy IT Software systems and/or processes.
  64. Driving Program Improvement efforts through evidence based quality data, and measurement of program.

  66. 3. Performs other functions to maintain personal competence and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department by:

  68. Maintaining current knowledge of processes, procedures, current developments in clinical and patient care areas and an awareness of governmental, economic and legal factors.
  69. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with other Beacon Health System departments.
  70. Maintaining records, reports and files as required by policy, procedures and governmental regulations.
  71. Monitoring new trends and development within the industry.
  72. Completing other job-related assignments and special projects as directed.

  74. 4. Working with Beacon Health System HIM Executive Director and Privacy Officer to assure compliance with Federal and State privacy regulation, including HIPAA & HITECH, State Privacy Laws, and Beacon Health System Privacy Policies & Procedures by:

  76. Conduct and Review proactive and reactive appropriateness audits of user access to Protected Health Information (PHI);
  77. Act as a liaison between employee, patients and others regarding Beacon Health System Policy and Procedures;
  78. Monitors progress of ongoing PHI audits and provides updates to Corporate Compliance privacy audits;
  79. Conducts Investigations under the direction of Privacy Officer regarding privacy concerns;
  80. Assist with Privacy Program Policy and Procedure creation and revisions.
  81. Investigate the appropriateness of access to PHI related to Government and Patient Privacy complaints;
  82. Conducts on-site visits to Beacon Clinics sites to assess compliance with Privacy Policies and Procedures.
