Designs for Daslin

Short: a finely tooled baldric of black leather

Dropped: Tossed aside, a black leather baldric collects dust here.

Examined:

Fine Tomaculan leather has been dyed black, meticulously tooled and crafted into a sturdy looped baldric. Designed to be slung over the shoulder, it features a large, blackened iron buckle which holds the strap together, with a range of holes punched through the thick leather to offer an adjustable fit. Promising a secure fit against the waist for any weapon, a large bear paw has been masterfully carved and woodburned out of dark mahogany and affixed to the leather device. A section of deep, black bear fur has been attached onto the opposite end with durable gutcord stitching, ensuring a comfortable fit and easy bearing of weight. The gleam of freshly applied oil affirms this baldric will neither crack nor stiffen under regular use and exposure. Along the back, two small loops have been affixed to the top and bottom ends, allowing versatility in how a weapon is carried. A miniscule wolf paw has been stamped into the top of the iron buckle.


Short: a polished band of black iron

Dropped: Gleaming mysteriously, a black iron band has been lost here.

Examined:

Having been wrested from the mines, rough hematite ore has been skillfully refined and cast into a thick, polished band of black iron. In an impressive display of ingenuity and craftsmanship, the large band has been crafted to include a smaller band of gleaming white gold which wraps around the middle, allowing it to be turned. Runes have been engraved into the middle band and the two flanking sections of the ring, filled in with gold and waiting to be properly aligned. A mysteriously strong presence exudes from the metal, alluringly whispering promises of power. Stamped into the inner surface is a miniscule wolf paw.

Reaction to TURN RING

1st person: Lining the inner runes up with their outer counterparts, you gasp as the roar of a bear thunders in your head, rejuvenating you and filling you with vigour.

3rd person: Turning the inner portion of a polished band of black iron, $Person stands straighter, eyes gleaming with rejuvenation.

Designs for Aodfionn
=====================

Short: a luminescent tower shield

Dropped: Gleaming mysteriously, a gargantuan shield has been abandoned here.

Examined:

Wide ashwood planks have been set together and banded in thick iron, forming a sturdy scutum of monstrous proportions. Easily the size of a full grown man, this monumental shield has obviously been specially crafted for an individual of enormous size, allowing protection from neck to knee of even the heftiest of mortals. The surface has been crafted to easily deflect blows, exhibiting a curved, cylindrical surface. In contrast to the light gray of the wood, blackened iron has been wrought into the semblance of a large tree, the nearly barren branches of which snake sinuously to the sides and top. Set into the wood, behind the wrought iron is a pattern of fractured amber, catching and exuding light behind the twisting branches so that it appears a bright sun flares ceaselessly. The interior of the shield has been lined with thin, oiled leather, and two thick, adjustable leather straps have been affixed to allow it to be secured firmly to a forearm.


Short: a gilded greatsword

Dropped: Impaling the earth, an enormous sword has been grounded here.

Examined:

Honed meticulously to a razor-edge, this magnificent sword appears to have been forged of bronzed steel, burnished to magnificent shine. Roughly two hands widths wide and tapering only slightly to a gleaming point, this massive glaive features a cylindrical hilt of corrugated steel, affording a secure grip under even the slickest of conditions. Set firmly into the pommel is a large, multifaceted amber gem, glowing brightly with each ray of light that dances across the blade. The gilded crossguard has been etched to resemble the first rays of a rising sun, fanning out towards the reinforced fuller which has been expertly embossed into the detailed image of an ancient tree, stretching nearly the full length of the blade.

Designs for Myself

Short: a Blackrock crossbow

Dropped: A rugged crossbow lies abandoned here.

Examined:

Constructed of dense petrified wood, the stock of this hefty crossbow  has been ornately carved into the likeness of a charging, snarling wolf. A groove has been cut into the top, awaiting a projectile to be loaded and dispatched from the mouth of the wolf. A lath of fine silver is set crossways across the stock, seemingly bridled to the snout of the wolf while the ends of the lath are chiseled to resemble the heads of serpents which grasp the ends of oiled string. A gilded, silver guard-plate protects the trigger mechanism from accidentally discharging the weapon, while a small clasp affixed to the center of the string allows the weapon to be reloaded quickly and with ease. A blade protrudes from the front of the weapon, coated lightly in an indistinguishable red substance.

Short: a tenebrous shield of crystal

Dropped: Faint whispers echo from a murky shield upon the ground.

Examined:

Cut from a large piece of smooth, unfaceted crystal, the surface of this tenebrous heater shield shifts constantly with murky shadows, as if imprisoned and seeking escape. As the shadows dance within, scenes of violence and betrayal, grotesque images, and faces twisted into wrathful expressions and haughty sneers are briefly seen before the visage dissipates and a new scene takes shape.

Short: a barbed whip of bone

Dropped: Coiled neatly, a barbed whip of bone has been left here.

Examined:

A large, humanoid bone carved with soot stained runes forms the handle of this whip, wrapped in rough black leather and copper wire to afford a secure grip. From the bottom of the handle protrudes a small serrated spike, while from the other end extends a length of  progressively smaller vertebrae , ending in a thin, razor-sharp tip. Evenly spaced throughout the sections of vertebrae are the sharp points of twisted barb, flecked with dried blood and bits of flesh.


Short: an imposing tricorne hat

Dropped: A well crafted three-cornered hat has been left here.

Examined:

Shaped from fine shark-skin leather, this tricorne hat has been dyed deep black and oiled to resist the elements. Edges of the wide brim have been pinned up at the sides and back to form three corners. Lined on the inside with supple red felt, the outside brim bears silver lace trimming. A bleeding wolf paw has been stitched in red thread into the right side of the hats pinned brim.

Painting I did of the Infernal Forge battle, originally donated to the OIA, later auctioned in Mhaldor for 800k

Crammed within the confined quarters of the forge, two factions face off in a fierce contest for
control before the Infernal Forge. Bodies pile high upon the blackened, metal platform as pennants
snap fitfully in the wind overhead. A scene of ritualistic slaughter, the deadly dance unfolds as
sword clashes upon shield and waves of magic erupt explosively. A wall of bodies, some Mhaldorian
and some Ashtani, pile up to form a wall blocking off entrance from the Royal Blacksmith as the
battle rages desperately for control over the forge room. Rising out of the ground towards the back
of the Ashtani defenders can be seen the hulking form and dreadful visage of the daemon Mhaldorous,
snatching hold of the nearest defender and rending them limb from limb. Members of the Steel Bastion
can be seen in the midst of the fray as the defenders of Ashtan press a vicious and desperate
counter-attack, seeking to hold the forge at all costs. Flanking the Ashtani from the other side, a
stocky dwarf smashes into a line of shields with his massive, two-handed hammer. Surveying the
slaughter from the skies, Lord Phaestus reaches down His massive hand to reclaim the Infernal Forge,
leaving in its wake a bare metal slab, slick with blood and piled high with corpses from both sides.
Barely noticeable in the bottom, right corner can be seen a small, black wolf paw print, carefully
inscribed into a marble floor tile. A half quill emblem is discretely imprinted in the lower right
corner, marking this to be a work from the Lord Bard's Commune.
It weighs about 3 pounds and 0 ounce(s).
It bears the distinctive mark of Calanthris, an art critic (a denizen).

Cloak I designed for the Steel Bastion
=========================================

a black, hooded Kordathen cloak trimmed in gold

This flowing cloak has been expertly woven from fine strands of durable cotton. Yards of cloth have
been carefully cut and trimmed to allow this cloak to easily conceal its wearer and their weapons. A
deep, shadowy hood offers the option to partially conceal a face. The fabric has been dyed a deep
black, trimmed intricately in twisting gold thread. Upon the back of the cloak is stitched the steel
tower, atop which perches the fierce Zarathustran eagle, eternal guardian of the Bastion of the
North. The front of cloak is attached firmly with a steel clasp composed of a broadsword and
longsword crossed, with an empty scabbard vertical between the two.

Bow for Odhrin
=================

Short:  an onyx bow inset with rubies
Examined:
Crafted of a single vein of onyx, this bow runs an impressive five feet in length, the ends curved outward and capped in high grade silver. The face of the bow is broad and smooth with masterfully cut rubies set firmly in place within the very onyx. In the middle of the bow, a handle has been fashioned of thick leather, molded to provide a comfortable fit for the wielder’s hand. Sweeping back from the face of the bow, the rest of the onyx has been meticulously carved to resemble wings of great detail. Fashioned from a high grade of silver above the handle, an arrow rest resembles the beak of a large Saker falcon, open to issue valiant war-cry. Protruding from the right side of the bow are two silver talons, spaced about a foot apart and positioned so as the talons can hold a few spare arrows. The unblemished surface of the bow and the gems inset catch and reflect each bit of light as it plays across the length of the weapon.
Dropped:  A magnificent bow has been dropped here, shimmering brightly.

Amulet I designed as a gift for Mariya
=========================================

Short: an obscure, rectangular amulet of silver and emeralds
Dropped: Shimmering lightly, an amulet has been dropped here.
Examined:
Hammered into a long strip, this amulet is close to two inches wide and around four inches long. Small circular warding runes have been meticulously inscribed into the edges and set with tiny, emeralds in the centre of each rune. The spaces in between them filled with erratic script of various phrases of empowerment. In the middle of the amulet rests a large multifaceted emerald, pulsating with a faint green light. Tendrils of green light snake out from the gem to connect with and link the runes upon the edges. On the back surface of the amulet a list has been inscribed in flowing script titled ‘Quota’.

Bracelet commission for Isis
==============================

Appearance: a golden dragon tooth bracelet

Dropped: Glinting softly, a gold and silver bracelet lies here forgotten.

Examined:

Fine leather has been carefully cut into a strip about an inch thick and a half-inch wide, coloured a deep blood red and lightly layered in oil to resist the elements. Silver of the purest quality has been forged into thin narrow wires that wind around the strip of red hued leather in an interwoven pattern, a small ring hanging in the middle of the bracelet at the end of which is linked a fairly large dragons tooth, its golden flecks sparkling in any small light as it dangles from the small ring. Skillfully engraved into the leather is a scene of a tall dark skinned woman thundering across a plain upon a huge horse, silver hair streaming as she rides under the protective shadow of a great golden dragon. A barely noticeable wolf paw has been stamped into the inside of the leather band.

Ring for House De'Verres
==============================

Appearance: a ring of House De'Verres

Dropped: Nestled in the dirt, a magnificent ring lies here.

Examined:

Red gold has been masterfully fashioned into a ring of exquisite beauty that stands out boldly. Inset to the top of the ring is a carefully cut, smooth onyx stone that reflects light gently, it's surface black as the ocean depths. Around this stone detailed flames have been skilfully carved out of the pure gold in elegant flowing style. The outside of the ring has been expertly carved to depict snaking vines running out from the base of the stone to twist around the ring, seeming to flare to life and writhe with each dance of shadow and light. Engraved into the inside of the ring is the De'Verres family crest under which rests a tiny wolf paw print.

Someone requested 'Dwarf trousers'

Appearance: a pair of stout dwarven trousers

Dropped: A pair of short trousers have been carelessly dropped here.

Examined:

This abnormally short pair of trousers has been cut from high grade leather and tanned a deep brown. Thin black stitching criss-crosses its way up each leg, holding the leather together firmly and giving it a snug fit. The knees have been subtly reinforced with thin pads of a slightly lighter colour, providing some amount of protection from tear and wear. Light tan lacing runs up the front, ending in two long strips that have been tied neatly into a short bow. The leather appears to have been oiled down to protect it from water damage. A small wolf paw discreetly decorates the waistline.

Shield of Absorbtion Request
==================================

Appearaence: a stout shield of shadowy silver

Dropped: Shadows writhe like tendrils over a silver shield left here.

Examined:


This lightweight yet sturdy shield has been crafted from raw, dark silver. It has been slightly curved to allow blows to be deflected easily while maintaining adequate body coverage. On the face of the shield, the image of a rampant Chagut stallion has been embossed into the metal and coloured in with black paint. Small spikes round the edge of the shield, pointing forward and providing a measure of defense from anyone trying to tear the sheild from it's owner. Bolted into the back of the shield is a thick leather arm strap and wooden handle to ensure a firm grip. A small wolf print has been stamped onto the leather securing strap.

Wielding:

The sound of a stallion braying echoes loudly as dark tendrils of shadow pour forth from the Chagut stallion and slowly start to wrap around the shield as Isis slides a stout shield of shadowy silver onto her arm.

Unwield:

Tendrils of shadow flicker and recede into the Chagut image as Isis slides a stout shield of shadowy silver from her arm.

Bow Design
============

Short: a deep red bow of subtle shadows

Dropped: A deep red bow has been left here, writhing with shadows

Examined: Smooth, deep red meteoric alloy has been expertly shaped and refined into a recurve bow of considerable potential. Along the top face, a relief portrays a mighty Chaghut stallion thundering across the Daoric Plains, head held high as he leads his herd onward. On the opposite side of the cedar, hare skin padded grip is a scene depicted of battle in which a might Chaghut stallion proudly carrying a fierce female warrior and leading a group of warriors into battle. In the center face of the grip, the symbol of the Chaghut Crown has been burned into the wood. Thick, finely braided hair from a Chaghut stallion make up the surprisingly strong bowstring that has been oiled down to prevent fraying. Shadows flicker and writhe across the length of the bow, making the carvings on it glimmer to life as they play out their noble scenes.

Khensu Amulet
========================

Appearance: a Chagut amulet of protection

Dropped: A peculiar amulet has been tossed aside here.

Thick coarse Chagut hair has been carefully braided into a sturdy length of necklace. A large amulet made out of high grade silver hangs down from the necklace by a small clasp, the purity of the silver apparent as the light reflects from its surface. An impressive sapphire has been cut and smoothed down into the shape of a curved teardrop and set deeply into the amulet on the top left side. Carefully set next to the sapphire, an exquisitely cut ruby has been perfectly matched in shape and reversed to fit tightly against the inside edge of the sapphire. The craftsmanship and skillful positioning of these gems are noticeably recognized in the gems being a perfect fit for each other, the two coming together to make a complete circle. What seem ordinary gems reveal intriguing qualities upon close inspection. The gems appear to have been enscrolled to depict stunningly realistic qualities which flare to life with each movement. The surface of the sapphire ripples gently as if depicting a calm ocean, while the ruby shifts and dances with the impression of vivid flames. Upon the back of the amulet a series of unrecognizable runes have been engraved into the fine silver in a spiral pattern that starts around the edge of the amulet and slowly condenses to the centre, possibly to bring protection to the wearer. A small wolf print has been cleverly imprinted into the middle of the spiral.

Custom Wyvern Mounts

Name: Tarasque
Short: an ice wyvern
Long: An ice wyvern is here, eyes flashing menacingly.
Extended: Standing nearby emanating a deep chill, this wyvern seems to radiate blasts of cold air as it slowly flexes its wings , shifting its weight between its two legs, talons flexing testily. At the end of its long, sinewy neck rests a massive head, two large horns protruding forth from its thick skull, and once smaller one from the back. Eyes that look like shimmering sapphires glint as the light glances across them, bringing notice to the long, sharp teeth that jut out from its snout. Wide, leathery wings stretch out from its shoulders in the place of arms, and a long tails swishes and thumps the ground irritably, the spikes on the end of it gouging the ground and freezing it wherever it strikes.
Enter: With a snarl and an cold glare, and ice wyvern enters from the $DIR.
Leave: Wings flexing and sending an icy gust forth, an ice wyvern leaves to the $DIR.
Death: Horns broken and wings tattered, the corpse of an ice wyvern lies here, defeated .

Short: a fire wyvern
Long: A fire wyvern is here, eyes flashing menacingly.
Extended: Standing nearby radiateing immense heat, this wyvern seems to give off blasts of hot air as it slowly flexes its wings , shifting its weight between its two legs, talons flexing testily. At the end of its long, sinewy neck rests a massive head, two large horns protruding forth from its thick skull, and once smaller one from the back. Eyes that look like shimmering ruby eyes glint as the light glances across them, bringing notice to the long, sharp teeth that jut out from its snout. Wide, leathery wings stretch out from its shoulders in the place of arms, and a long tails swishes and thumps the ground irritably, the spikes on the end of it gouging the ground and producing molten lava wherever it strikes.
Enter: With a snarl and an fierce glare, a fire wyvern enters from the $DIR.
Leave: Wings flexing and sending a hot blast of air, a fire wyvern leaves to the $DIR.
Death: Horns broken and wings tattered, the corpse of a fire wyvern lies here, defeated .
