  10.
  11. The first topic was road repair. Dennis began the discussion and focused on areas like atkins and country club road mostly. Because they are close to wetlands, they require a lot of work in repair. The estimate repair cost was $112,000.
  12. Second, the plumber thing happened. This was about a how everything is just covered in trash. Connie Golding was the initiator of the conversation. She seemed very passionate about this, while others didn’t really care too much. No vote was taken.
  13. Third, the public library was being discussed. They compared us to other districts and we found that we were quite ahead in ahead in most ways. But, our staff spends about 4% more on new material than any other library. We are also understaffed. No vote was cast.
  14. Fourth, there was a man who was involved in little league or pop warner or something that is football-esque. The man wanted a sum of about $80,000 for new repairs and updates in helmets and balls and the like. The helmets were about $100-$300 each. Considering that helmets haven’t been in anyway redesigned since like the 80s, it’s kind of meaningless in my opinion.
  15. The final subject of note is that there was a man who retired from his duty. He was a meter man and also worked in the trash clean up job for a while. He sounded like a great person to me. He really seemed to care about Petoskey as a whole and was glad to serve it. He wasn’t there, as he has been very sick and is in the hospital still. The man has cancer. The committee made him a plaque in honor of his work for the city. It was almost touching; almost.
