As the elderly sun of the first day touches the landscape on its descent, the world enters a phase of incomprehensible calmness. For hundreds of miles across the nation, there seems to be no noise; and for a few short moments, a perfect version of reality comes into being, and planet Earth is a peaceful sanctuary. As mothers set their tables and men perform their ablution, the orange-red star hugs the mountains, enveloping the sky in a mystical hue of marigold orange and saffron red, flavoured with delicate, but elegant stripes of lilac entangled among the clouds. And as the last ray of daylight waves goodbye, eardrums are in ecstasy, for the breathtaking harmony of the call for the 1st day's Iftar, is known for doing just that. Once prayer is carried out, friendly faces shake hands and part ways to their homes, where entire family trees await them for a night of rejoicement and joy, relishing in the company of those closest to their heart.
