Note: roles of the lord and lady might get swapped around, not sure which is more appropriate. Lady of the house could have hidden she was pregnant, etc.

North of San Miguel is a large estate the houses an old family that immigrated from a far off land decades ago. The lord of the household is a direct descendant of Sabata. The lady of the household is not related to any canon character but has wealth that somehow persisted throughout the undeadening. (Dark loans mogul?) The lord and lady have a few children of their own.

The lord after that had an affair with his wife with one of the servants of the household, said servants became pregnant and soon bore the human boy named “Emil”. Emil grew up to be a live-in servant of the household, but was allowed similar distractions to the children of the household, which is why he plays the violin. The lady of the house acts coldly I different to him, since it’s painfully obvious it’s his kid.

The servants would over time tell Emil the stories of the Lunar Children and all of the history that the lord would tell when he was laying the charm on thick. The lord of the house previously told his other partner the whereabouts of a collection of relics from that time, including a beautiful silver sword that was wielded by the moon beauty herself. Emil figured out this was his heritage over time, but never said anything so as not to rock the boat. He did however want to find that secret chamber for himself, to see if the stories were true, and because he had nothing else to look forward to in life. The household at around this time is also starting to experience strange phenomenon that we eventually learn are early onsets of the undeadening.

Eventually, the oldest daughter of the family was to be married. Emil, against his own consciousness, devised a scheme in which he would sneak away during the wedding reception so that he could set off the try and find the chamber.

The estate was the first thing to be fully hit by the undeadening, and the family perished in the ensuing struggle. Emil himself made it far enough to survive that initial wave of undead, but was body hijacked by an Immortal before he could escape.
