  1. [13:40] Titus still lead a trail of blood encrusted sand, granules loosed from his shaken state - He was mothballed if ever a person could be. Seeming nearly dead, though held together only by the absolute perseverance for life. He'd been adorned by innumerable cuts and gashes.
  2.
  3. Most noticeably however, was a large hole: Suggesting impalement, having been crusted over and coagulated not by his own body: But sand. He breathed with a wheez, if at all. A whiny noise, like an old gate opening and closing.
  4.
  5. "Edic'." Was all he could rasp in the terribly guttural and air-gasped condemnation that was likely a punctured lung.
  6. (Titus Aquilinus)
  7. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  8.
  9. [13:44] She finishes her own prayer before she replies to Pericles.
  10.
  11. "My name is Deixis Hymn."
  12.
  13. She continues her prayer, using various beads on a string to pray to each of the stars recognized by the church. She seems swept up in the task.
  14.
  15. She is interrupted by Titus, and she gets up to see what happened.
  16. (Deixis Hymn)
  17. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  18.
  19. [13:44] Uri had originally came with the coffin being dragged behind him as an old western would, tugging at it with a rope and all... He was going to bring the coffin to the cremation room if the church had this... Only to be taken by the wounded man who approached from behind...
  20.
  21. "Sir Knight?" He asked, remembering Titus if he had no facial injuries, only to see a hole in the mans chest. This was a life threatening wound, something Uri as a doctor could not refuse... So he would drag the coffin of Faira to the side. "I'm sorry sister, but I will have to cremate you after I handle this patient..." He'd give a kiss to the coffin before turning back over to Titus...
  22.
  23. "Please, come with me to the hospital room---Someone carry him, this won't be a pretty sight," he had been equipped with the proper tools, but now... Things just seemed complicated.
  24. (Uri Sanctum)
  25. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  26.
  27. [13:45] Biru exclaims, "Ooh. That's not a party I'm ready for!"
  28. [13:45] Biru scoots away.
  29. (Biru)
  30. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  31.
  32. [13:46] Deixis does not hesitate to carry the man. She slowly gets behind him, and props him on her back, to carry him to the hospital room. She calmly awaits for Uri to lead the way
  33.
  34. She still has her funeral veil on, and she whispers affirming phrases to Titus, to help calm the patient. She would stay to watch the procedure, once she was in the hospital room.
  35. (Deixis Hymn)
  36. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  37.
  38. [13:46] Tepa Kamauoha says, "Mh..So much death today."
  39. [13:48] "Deixis. Pleasure to meet you."
  40.
  41. Although, his happy mood didn't last long, Titus's arrival had an eye looking over towards the newly entering man, a hole in his chest so easily spotted.
  42.
  43. Ouch.
  44.
  45. The High Keeper took a stand, body pivoting to face the man as he stepped closer.
  46.
  47. "Titus, I had been wondering where you were.."
  48.
  49. Clearly, he hadn't been living the best of lives, an experienced eye roaming across the man's form to look for any further injuries that could be revealed.
  50.
  51. "Yes, take him to the room up stairs..."
  52.
  53. It seemed another with medical knowledhge would assist Titus, an offer thrown out as he remained standing, peering towards the trio that looked to depart.
  54.
  55. "If you need assistance, merely ask."
  56. (Pericles Vitalis)
  57. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  58.
  59. [13:48] Uri nods.
  60. (Uri Sanctum)
  61. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  62.
  63. [13:48] Uri Sanctum says, "Make sure no one touches my sisters coffin...Please."
  64. [13:49] Uri Sanctum says, "Let's get him into bed."
  65. [13:49] Deixis keeps pace relatively quickly, and gently hauls the body onto the bed. She then prepares everything she knows about medicine at the moment.
  66. (Deixis Hymn)
  67. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  68.
  69. [13:50] Deixis Hymn exclaims, "What do we need? I can grab it from the cabinet!"
  70. [13:50] Uri Sanctum says, "Wipes, help me by sanitizing the wound."
  71. [13:50] Uri Sanctum says, "We'll need to keep him restrained so tie em up on your side, I'll handle mine."
  72. [13:50] Titus wheezing in terrible agony as he'd been carried, barely able to even keep his feet under him having walked from Ilburg: New sensations came with the new travel method. He coughed sand and blood, clearly the former having been inhaled deeply into his lung.
  73.
  74. Thus a coughing fit of gags and dry heaves as sand had been flowing freely from his mouth, and the new orifice that is his 'lung'; Or what remained of it.
  75. (Titus Aquilinus)
  76. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  77.
  78. [13:52] Deixis takes a rope, and tosses some length of it to Uri.
  79.
  80. She then snugly and securely ties both his arm and his leg to the posts of the bed. She asks Uri then, how to proceed:
  81.
  82. "What materials will we need? I assume we need to remove the sand and stop the blood flow."
  83. (Deixis Hymn)
  84. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  85.
  86. [13:55] As he takes the rope, tying Titus down by the limbs. He would reply first concerning the wound. "Stiches... More Q-Tips to remove the sand, and most importantly, magic if you have anything to sooth the pain such as a LAx Essence?"
  87.
  88. "If not, then there isn't anything to worry about.. He will be in much pain, but that is why I have this trauma kit..." Uri would prepare the kit, placing it aside, taking out some needles so he could inject the patient with a drug in order to numb the pain.
  89.
  90. "It will not be a swift process but we will handle it in a timely manner."
  91. (Uri Sanctum)
  92. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  93.
  94. [13:55] {Item} You drop Trauma Kit.
  95. [13:56] {Item} You picked up Trauma Kit. Dropped by Uri Sanctum. .
  96. [13:59] She takes out from the cabinet, a needle and stiches, Cotton Swabs, Cotton Tips, and from her own bag a bottle of numbing agent.
  97.
  98. "Grandfather, please let this work."
  99.
  100. She gave everything to Uri.
  101.
  102. "Use the numbing agent if you can, my grandfather was a man of medicine."
  103. (Deixis Hymn)
  104. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  105.
  106. [14:02] Titus' eye nearly came to a dripped cry, if not for the sand engrained into his lid: And the dryness of his eye itself. The pain nigh overwhelming, as it finally hit him. Pure agony writhed him, and rattled to his hollow core.
  107.
  108. His lung, punctured, had been pumping to no avail as it exhaled sand, and inhaled more - Sandstorms and nearly dying in the desert would certainly do such.
  109.
  110. "Raus - guide." He mustered out, barely able to speak through sand and suffocation.
  111. (Titus Aquilinus)
  112. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  113.
  114. [14:08] Looking down at the patient, and then at Deixis, taking the numbing agent. He'd examine it with a keen eye, "Mm.. Yes.." He toon a sniff sniff. Uri had to make sure it wouldn't kill the main after all... "I can use this, with my medical practice..." He was not referring to typical medical skills, but rather something else entirely... That's when Uri would begin the surgery...
  115.
  116. First, applying the stiches, placing them only half an inch apart to make sure that it wouldn't be too tight, but of course, these were not placed to close the wound, he would have to first place something over the skin as an artificial place holder for what used to be there. It was all from his trauma kit, the steel or mithril that would be used to replace destroyed flesh.
  117.
  118. Uri Sanctum rolled a dice and it landed on: 6
  119.
  120. Finally, he would seal the wound. Concentrating his flames to be infused with the soothing light of the stars. These were the Phoenix flames which he was developing towards a later use for the future. In a scene like this, Uri would have to make a fireball out of the golden flame, then he will eventually spread it around the steel he placed over the wound.
  121.
  122. The golden flames would not burn, for they were healing fires specifically adopted by Uri for his medical practice... Something he's been developing for the past three or so years spent as a medic. "We're almost there, once the wound is sealed, I will need for you to give him water and plenty of it, alright? He could wake up in shock if we are not careful..." Said Uri as this attempt to utilize the golden flame went out as a success from the sheer luck of a dice roll...
  123. (Uri Sanctum)
  124. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  125.
  126. [14:11] Deixis watches carefully, picking up on details that entailed the work that came with medicine. She watches as he cauterizes the wound.
  127.
  128. She quietly grabs the water pitcher and cup on the table, and pours the man a cup of water, offering it to them. If they could not drink she would ask,
  129.
  130. "Are we to help them drink if they cannot?"
  131. (Deixis Hymn)
  132. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  133.
  134. [14:12] Uri nods.
  135. (Uri Sanctum)
  136. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  137.
  138. [14:14] Titus spent what felt like a life-time in the Desert surrounding Ilburg, an entire night: Face down, bleeding, and mostly bare to the terrible environment around. Mustering only enough to hide from Bandit patrols, and make his way to Osrona: His eye had a dead-stare to it. Nearly catatonic, as he looked to the opposed wall from the bed.
  139.
  140. Mouth ajar, his breathing seemingly stabilized, though still the ever-so slightest wheeze: Inhaling all that sand may have been treated in his lungs, though always would they bear the mark of a prosthetic, and scarring to boot.
  141.
  142. He was evidently incapable of drinking water, much less talking.
  143. (Titus Aquilinus)
  144. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  145.
  146. [14:16] She promptly lifts his head, and pours water in his mouth. Titus would swallow, based on natural reflexes, and she gives him a second dose of water, just in case.
  147.
  148. She made sure to do this gently, so he wouldn't choke on the water.
  149. (Deixis Hymn)
  150. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  151.
  152. [14:19] Uri would continue to observe the patient for a while longer. He took notes on his condition, writing down. "Year, 1732 Ac... Patient issued through a wound of impalement... Patient has survived the process of mending through artificial parts attached to the damaged area... Recovery speed? Gradual, he will need to take months off for a full recovery…"
  153.
  154. Uri turns to the assistee… "Thank you for all of your help, it made the job a lot easier... I'd say.. But, would you do me one more favor? Keep watch of him, make sure his body takes fluids for another ten minutes... I must go now, to cremate the remains of my sister Faira...Take care."
  155.
  156.
  157. (Uri Sanctum)
