14. It's not entirely uncommon for folks to wonder why Aether migrated into the Foxfire Bramble. Aether, being a pragmatic and witty sort, ascribes his lateral move to the ambient light quality: Shadow territory, he says, is much easier on the eyes. (He usually winks at this point, depending on the audience.)

16. As a testament to his heritage, Aether is large and imposing, and cuts a fine, commanding form in profile. He's well-read and uses his wits for more than wry humour -- he also enjoys studying philosophy and the art of public oration. His one truly guilty pleasure, he says, is listening to the sound of his own voice. (That, and shrimp kebabs, when he can find them.)
17.
18. Aether doesn't view his traits as a license to lord over those around him. On the contrary, Aether sees his size and skills as a mandate to look out for others, literally and figuratively. He moves with calm control and a mindfulness that his clanmates consider relaxing, at times even soothing. If he spies a fellow dragon looking unhappy, Aether is quick to sidle up and check in with them. In this way, Aether has more or less perfected the art of being everyone's big brother.
