  1. "Perfect Garden" by Pawel Kuczynski is an artwork created in a modern context, which demonstrates the negative effect that overuse of technology can have on social situations. The image represents insights into human behaviour through it's effective use of contrast. The crowd of people watching their screen is starkly contrasted to the few people who's heads are poking out of the crowd. This represents an insight into the human tendency to be addicted to technology, and how this has become the norm. It also demonstrates the negative effect that screen addictions have on social interactions, as there is no visible interaction between any of the crowd in the image. Additionally, the use of the man using the lawnmower is a metaphor for the danger of screen addictions, and the unawareness and indifference to danger it can cause. Finally the slumped posture of the crowd of people on their phones demonstrates the human tendency to ignore the health implications of technology addictions. Through its use of symbolism and contrast, "Perfect Garden" effectively represents insights into human behaviour, and the human tendency to fall prey to screen addictions, and it's effect on social interactions.
