UNIT TYPES:

Pikemen (foot):
Polearm infantry with long range; very strong against frontal attacks, but very weak to attacks on the rear or flanks
++ against cavalry

Glaiviers (foot):
Polearm infantry, but with shorter range than pikemen
+ against cavalry
+ against infantry
-- pikemen

Halberdiers (foot):
Polearm infantry, short range but heavier weapons. Good in close-quarters combat, but slow movement
+ light infantry
+ heavy infantry
+ pikemen

Arquebusiers (foot):
Guns, pow pow pow. Ranged attacks, but terrible at close-quarters combat

Rodeleros (foot):
Special troops who have a sword and buckler; good at close-quarters combat

Doppelsoldner (foot):
Special troops who have a greatsword; good at close-quarters combat

Skirmishers (mounted):
Light cavalry for harassing the enemy at a distance
+ light troops

Lancers (mounted):
Light cavalry

Knights (mounted):
Heavy cavalry; the strongest in combat, but also by far the slowest

Companyia de Jinetes (mounted):
Light cavalry focused on close-quarters combat; mercenaries

Companyia de Piquers (foot):
Pikemen; mercenaries

Banda Grisa (foot):
Mercenary company composed of a company each of Arquebusiers, Halberdiers, and Doppelsoldners
