  5. This mod list contains a short description of every mod in the Skyrim Experience mod pack, listed in the order you'd see them in Mod Organizer.
  6. For more detailed descriptions of any one mod, right-click the mod in Mod Organizer and click "View on Nexus" or "View Webpage".

  8. If you're looking for a specific mod, press CTRL + F and type the name of the mod you're looking for.

  10. NOTICE: Compatibility patches are not listed, since they simply fix issues created by conflicting mods.

  14. === CORE MODS & OVERHAULS ===

  16. Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch:
  17. A compilation of fixes & patches.
  18.  
  19. Skyrim Project Opimization SE:
  20. Adds 'occlusion culling' to the game's world, which un-renders anything not visible to you.
  21.  
  22. Low Resolution Particles:
  23. Improves FPS by reducing the resolution of small particles, such as rain drops. No noticable quality change.
  24.  
  25. Insignificant Object Remover:
  26. Improves FPS by removing small procedural stones and pebbles.
  27.  
  28. Skyrim 2017:
  29. Higher resolution textures for most in-game textures. This is the "base" of the graphics setup.
  30.  
  31. SSE Texture Pack - Osmodius:
  32. Overall better looking textures than Skyrim 2017, but with less coverage. Skyrim 2017 fills in the gaps.
  33.  
  34. Static Mesh Improvement Mods:
  35. Re-models many meshes in the game to significantly improve the quality of fine details.
  36.  
  37. aMidianBorn Book of Silence:
  38. Overhauls models and textures for Armor, Unique Items, Creatures, Weapons, and Dragonborn content.
  39.  
  40. aMidianBorn Book of Silence Blades Armor HOTFIX:
  41. A correctly ported version of the aMidianBorn Blades armor, the only mesh that needed porting to SSE.
  42.  
  43. Skyforge Hotfix:
  44. A patch for aMidianBorn's blue Skyforge weapons.
  45.  
  46. Modern Brawl Bug:
  47. Fixes inconsitencies with brawling.
  48.  
  49. WildCat - Combat of Skyrim:
  50. Massively overhauls combat, making it more deadly and more rewarding to timing and skill, and allows to customize damage settings. Customizable through MCM.

  52. Deadly Combat:
  53. Makes combat even more deadly and fast paced through multiple combat features, including an AI overhaul. Customizable through Powers.

  55. Character Creation Overhaul:
  56. Makes each race more diverse and less flexible by implementing Oblivion's character creation system. (Major/Minor skills, birthsigns, etc.)

  58. Skyrim Revamped - Complete Enemy Overhaul:
  59. Further enhances the combat AI, making them generally smarter and less robotic.
  60.  
  61. MorrowLoot Ultimate:
  62. Removes scaling, all zones are leveled, makes rare loot actually rare, and much more. I highly recommend you read the Nexus page.
  63.  
  64. Scarcity SE - Less Loot Mod:
  65. Makes all loot scarcer. Configured for 4x less loot, and 2x suckier merchants. Note that MorrowLoot manually places rare gear, but now you just won't find as much laying around.

  67. Skyrim Skill Uncapper:
  68. Unlocks the maximum level for all skills. Configured for 125 max skills, and 0.5x leveling speed. Not as slow as it sounds with MorrowLoot.

  70. Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim:
  71. Completely overhauls the perks for all skill trees, adding new and interesting abilities and creates many possibilities for different play-styles.

  73. SkyUI:
  74. Redoes all of the in-game menus, making them much better for KB+M controls. Customizable through MCM.
  75.  
  76. Kill the Orchestra SE:
  77. Removes most vanilla music (see next mod), but does not remove special event music tracks (rewards, discoveries, etc.) or DLC music since they aren't heard often and signal special areas of the game.

  79. Additional Music Project:
  80. Adds 30 new music tracks to the game, nearly 4 hours of music. For comparison, Skyrim's OST has 3 1/2 hours.

  82. Audio Overhaul for Skyrim 2:
  83. Enhances Skyrim's audio system in several ways. Does not actually change sound effects, that's next.

  85. Immersive Sounds - Compendium:
  86. Overhauls (close to) all sound effects in the game. Most sounds are fantasy-like, but some are more realistic, and all are highr quality.

  95. Slows turning when swinging a melee weapon, drawing a bow, or casting a spell.

  98. Makes sneaking more dependent on line of sight and lighting instead of mostly your Sneak skill.
  99.  
  100. VioLens - A Killmove Mod:
  101. Allows you to customize every feature of killmoves. Customizable through MCM.

  103. No BS AI Projectile Dodge:
  104. Prevents AI from side-stepping away from projectiles such as Arrows and Magic. You can't do it, so why could they?! Yeah this really pissed me off.

  134. Adds more information to your HUD. Configured to show enemy level on their healthbar, and when picking up items it shows enhantment effets and known effects for ingredients. Customizable through MCM.

  136. A Matter of Time - A HUD Clock Widget:
  137. Adds a customizable clock to your HUD. Includes a graphic clock, time display, and date/season display. Customizable through MCM.

  139. Customizable Camera:
  140. Allows you to customize the horizontal and vertical position of the melee and ranged third-person cameras, as well as the zoom for combat and your overall FOV.

  142. Better Dialogue Controls:
  143. Improves the controls for the dialogue selection.

  145. Paper World Map:
  146. Changes the 3D world map into an Oblivion-style paper map. (Technically still 3D, which is neat I guess)

  148. Small Cursors:
  149. As the name implies, reduces the size of your cursor. My screen is not two meters away, Todd Howard.

  151. SkyrimSouls - Unpaused Game Menus:
  152. None of the menus (inventory, magic, pause menu [lol], etc.) no longer instantly freeze time and space.

  154. Tara Type Font SSE:
  155. Changes the font across the entire game. View the Nexus page for images.

  157. Font Overhaul - Natural Typefaces for Skyrim:
  158. Makes writtent texts (books, notes, etc.) appear faded and actully written.

  162. Oh boy here we go...

  164. NAT - Natural and Atmospheric Tamriel:
  165. Overhauls the lighting and weather of the game, creating the base for our ENB.

  167. Revamped Exterior Fog:
  168. Exterior fog starts further away and is more transparent.
  169.  
  170. Relighting Skyrim - SSE:
  171. Modifies most sources of light in Skyrim, such as windows, braziers, torches, etc.

  173. Enhanced Lights and FX:
  174. Overhauls the lighting. Most noticeably making interiors dark, and dungeons even darker.
  175.  
  176. Real Mountains Rebuilt:
  177. Improves the quality of all mountains and rock textures. Configured for 2k, 4k available but not recommended.
  178.  
  179. Indistinguishable Billboards for Skyrim SE:
  180. Drastically improves the LOD models of trees, making them look nearly 3D.
  181.  
  182. Enhanced Vanilla Trees:
  183. Greatly improves the quality of all trees. Configured for 'custom trees', 2-4k textures.
  184.  
  185. Enhanced Vanilla Trees - Billboards:
  186. LOD textures that combine the Indistinguishable Billboards with the Enhanced Vanilla Trees style.
  187.  
  188. Terrain LOD Redone:
  189. Greatly improves the quality of distant terrain.
  190.  
  191. Realistic Water Two:
  192. Greatly improves the quality of all water. Lakes, rivers, waterfalls, etc.
  193.  
  194. Realistic Water Two LOD Fix:
  195. Fixes RWT using vanilla LOD textures. See Nexus page for before/after.
  196.  
  197. Verdant - A Skyrim Grass Plugin:
  198. Overhauls the grass textures and increases the overall amount of foliage without reducing performance.
  199.  
  200. Verdant - 1k:
  201. Downgrades Verdant Grass textures from 2k to 1k. Almost no quality difference, HUGE performance difference.
  202.  
  203. Blended Roads:
  204. Blends all road-stones in by only using road-stone meshes instead of laying a whole texture of the terrain.
  205.  
  206. Footprints:
  207. Take a guess.
  208.  
  209. Ultimate HD Fire Effects:
  210. Improves the quality of all fire textures in the game. Includes bonfires, torches, fire magic, etc.
  211.  
  212. Ennead - Banners:
  213. Adds high-quality unique textures for all banners in the game, and adds banners around each of the Holds.
  214.  
  215. Enhanced Blood Textures:
  216. Improves the quality and color of blood splatters and sprays.
  217.  
  218. Deadly Spell Impacts:
  219. Improves the quality of spell impacts, adding unique impact decals for each magic type.
  220.  
  221. Beatiful Honey Signs:
  222. Improves the quality of shop signs.
  223.  
  224. Book Covers Skyrim:
  225. Greatly enhances the quality of all book covers, and gives each book a unique cover.
  226.  
  227. LeanWolfs better-Shaped Talos with Greatsword:
  228. Increase the poly-count and texture resolution of all Talos statues because fuck the Aldmeri.
  229.  
  230. HD Road Signs:
  231. Adds 2k textures for all road signs. A small detail, but I found road signs quite hard to read sometimes.
  232.  
  233. Total Chracter Makeover:
  234. Better looking characters, but not eye-burning Anime characters and does not make all women look like prostitutes.
  235.  
  236. Beards:
  237. Adds many new beard styles in 2k, and improves the quality of vanilla beards to 2k.
  238.  
  239. Superior Lore-Friendly Hair:
  240. Improves all of the hair textures to 2k.
  241.  
  242. Rebi's Imperial Warpaint:
  243. My only personal mod. Changes the 3rd Imperial-Only warpaint, combining multiple warpaints into one.

  247. === GAMEPLAY & IMMERSIVE OVERHAULS ===
  248.  
  249. Simply Knock SE:
  250. Adds the ability to knock on the door of closed shops. Uses a combination of your relation with the property owner and your Speech skill.
  251.  
  252. Alternate Start - Live Another Life:
  253. Start in a mysterious prison cell with the ability to start in many different locations throughout Skyrim. Or just try crossing the border again for a tutorial-free Helgen intro.
  254.  
  255. The Choice is Yours:
  256. Adds the ability to reject most side-quests. You can return later and do the quests if you change your mind.
  257.  
  258. Campfire - Complete Camping System:
  259. Adds several backpacks that increase carry weight, and allows you to build a modular campsite wherever you want, where you can sleep, cook, and craft.
  260.  
  261. iNeed - Food, Water, and Sleep:
  262. As the name implies, iNeed adds a light survival element to the game by requiring you to eat, drink, and sleep. Customizable through MCM.
  263.  
  264. Skyrim Disable Fast Travel:
  265. Disables the fast-travel system, requiring you to take in the beautiful scenery and experience the hundres of random enounters. Hold Carriages are still available.
  266.  
  267. Letal Traps:
  268. Makes traps deal much more damage, making almost every trap lethal. Makes activators (Pressure Plates, Tripwires, etc.) extremely hard to see, especially with ELE lighting.
  269.  
  270. ESO Skyrshards:
  271. Adds 66 hand-placed "Skyshards" from Elder Scrolls: Online. Activating 3 skyshards will grant you a single perk point, allowing you to collect up to 22 extra perk points.
  272.  
  273. Of Divine Providence:
  274. Divine blessings are more potent, but much short, requiring you to pray regularly. Amulets now have an increasing effect the longer you wear it, and lose the effect if un-equipped.
  275.  
  276. Even better Quest Objectives:
  277. Since Skyrim relies a lot on quest markers - which are disabled - this adds greater detailed entries to your journal.
  278.  
  279. Dragonborn Delayed:
  280. Delays the start of the Dragonborn questline (cultist ambush) until after the Throat of the World quest.
  281.  
  282. Dawnguard Delayed:
  283. Delays the start of teh Dawnguard questline until level 20. Vampires start attacking at level 19. (Note: Vampires are VERY powerful with MorrowLoot)
  284.  
  285. Reasonabl Movement Speed:
  286. Modifies movement speed, mostly making it slower, but making walking faster. See Nexus page for numbers.
  287.  
  288. Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul:
  289. Creates routines for most NPCs in the game. People go places and do things, instead of standing around the same areas every day.
  290.  
  291. YOT - Your Own Thoughts:
  292. Changes all system messages (top-left popups) to first-person narrations.
  293.  
  294. Immersive Patrols SE:
  295. Creates patrols for almost every faction in the game that wander around their respective territory.
  296.  
  297. Visible Favorited Gear:
  298. Displays all of your favorited equipment on your character.
  299.  
  300. Populated Cities, Towns, Villages:
  301. Adds dozens of generic NPCs to cities, towns, and villages to make them seem more populated.
  302.  
  303. Wet and Cold:
  304. NPCs react to the weather, changing their clothing (Hoods, Masks, etc.) or just staying indoors during bad weather.
  305.  
  306. Frozen Electrocuted Combustion:
  307. Addes several effects to bodies when enemies (or you) are killed by elemental effects.
  308.  
  309. Fores New Idles:
  310. A tool needed to implement the animations up next.
  311.  
  312. Play Random Idle SE:
  313. Allows the use of multiple idle animations.
  314.  
  315. Realistic Animation Project - Idles:
  316. Redoes the idles for male and female NPCs, redoes and adds dozens of idles for the playe character.
  317.  
  318. Animations:
  319. Adds animations for several actions, such as looting and foraging. Customizable through MCM.
  320.  
  321. Immersive War and Violence:
  322. Adds several sites where massive Civil War battles took place.

  325. === DETIALS & MISC. IMMERSION ===

  327. Realistic Conversations:
  328. Reduces the pause between NPC dialogue lines.

  330. Immersive Player Dialogue:
  331. Overhauls almost every single player dialogue option to sound more accurate to Skyrim's theme. See Nexus page for examples.

  333. Dragons Shout with Voice:
  334. When Dragons use attacks (shouts), they now use Thu'um instead of simply roaring. Because MUH LORE.
  335.  
  336. Realistic Ragdolls and Force:
  337. Ragdolls don't fly away with force when killed, they usually fall over unless actually hit with a great amount of force. An unrelenting force?... Sorry.
  338.  
  339. No Spinning Death Animation:
  340. Removes the spinning animation when NPCs die and just makes them ragdoll on the spot. See the Nexus page for examples.

  342. PC Head Tracking and Voice Type:
  343. Makes your character look at NPCs near him/her, NPCs talking to him/her, and allows you to change the voice of your character. See Nexus page for more info on voice types.

  345. Run for Your Lives:
  346. NPCs will run away and take shelter during Dragon and Vampire attacks.

  348. Sleeved Imperials:
  349. Adds sleeves (and pants!) to Imperial uniforms.

  351. Sleeved Guards and Stormcloaks:
  352. Adds sleeves to Hold Guards and Stormcloaks.
  353.  
  354. Practical Female Armors:
  355. Smiths did not put boob-holes in chestplates. Cloth-type armors (Fur, Vampire, etc.) are not effected.

  357. Better Skil and Quest Book Names SE:
  358. Adds "(Quest)" and "(SkillName)" prefixes to books. No more frantically reading every book you come across.
  359.  
  360. Skyrim is Windy:
  361. Makes flora actually react to wind gusts, instead of just randomly swaying.
  362.  
  363. Blowing in the Wind:
  364. Makes hanging signs swing in the wind.
  365.  
  366. No More Radial Blur:
  367. Removes the annoying blur effect when hit, poisoned, etc. and supposedly improves performance.
  368.  
  369. Point the Way:
  370. Adds many more road signs to the roads of Skyrim, requiring less map usage.

  372. Hold Border Banners:
  373. Adds banners on the different territory borders.
  374.  
  375. Lanterns of Skyrim SE:
  376. Adds lamp lights along some roads in the game.
  377.  
  378. Unique Border Gates SE:
  379. Adds large checkpoint gates to the borders of Skyrim (NOT hold borders). Each border is uniquely designed. For instance, Cyrodill's border is manned by Imperials.

  384. Improves Closedfaced Helmets:
  385. Removes the black eye-holes in helmets, allowing you to see faces through actual eye-holes.

  387. LeanWolf's Better-Shaped Weapons:
  388. Improves the overall shape and length of weapons.
  389.  
  390. Skyrim Weapon DeLARPification Project:
  391. Improves the shape and models of most base-game weapons. LeanWolf's BSW fills in the gaps.

  393. Skyrim Weapon DeLARPification Project Dawnguard:
  394. Improves the shape and models of Dawngaurd DLC weapons.
  395.  
  396. Skyrim Weapon DeLARPification Project:
  397. Improves the shape and models of Dragonborn DLC weapons.

  399. Greatsword Sheaths and Scabbards Redux SE:
  400. Adds Sheaths (or scabbards, but Sheaths are installed) to all greatswords. Greathammers and Greataxes still use scabbards.
  401.  
  402. One-Handed Swords Sheaths and Scabbards Redux SE:
  403. Adds sheaths, and not actually any scabbards, to all one-handed swords, and really needs a shorter name.
  404.  
  405. Unique Uniques SE:
  406. Adds unique textures to all unique weapons in the game to give uniques a bit more unique uniqueness.
  407.  
  408. Amulet of Talos Replacer:
  409. Simply gives the Amulet of Talos a better model. It always annoyed me.
  410.  
  411. Belt-Fastened Quivers:
  412. Places arrow quivers onto your lower back instead of upper back. Mostly ensures compatibility with Campfire backpacks, but I think it looks better overall, and is more realistic.
  413.  
  414. Improved Daedric Artifacts SE:
  415. Overhauls the Daedric Artifacts, making them much stronger and useful while maintaining balance.
  416.  
  417. Heavy Armoy SE:
  418. Adds many lore-friendly weapon types, such as Spears, Halberds, Shortswords, Quarterstaffs, and more, all in the style of existing weapon types. (Steel, Nordic, Dwarven, etc.)
