doubles king of the hill

In this thread, two users are voted to be first battlers for the top of the hill. They will compete in a best of 3. The winner of this best of 3 is established as the king. The community will vote for one player every week to try and dethrone the new king. Hopefully this will lead to a bunch of high pressure and exciting matches between players bringing interesting teams.

A list of former Kings and challengers will be kept updated in this thread.

[B]Rules:[/B]
1. During the very first week, everyone will be allowed to vote one player as a King. I will host a poll about this after 3 days of nominating. There will also be 3 days in which a player can nominate two players to attempt to dethrone the king.

2. After the first week, everyone can nominate two players to attempt to dethrone the King. You can also nominate yourself. I will host a post about this every week as well..

3. Every game will be played in [B]ORAS Doubles[/B], [B]BW Doubles[/B], or [B]Doubles UU[/B]. The King is allowed to make the first choice for the bo3. Then the challenger is allowed to make the second pick. The King is also allowed to make the third pick, if it would get to the third game.

4. Every game has to be played on either the main Pokemon Showdown server, or the smogtours.psim.us server, which is the official tournament server.

5. Activity will be handled in separate cases, but if a King will not be able to play during a week, he will be dethroned. Obviously nobody would like a King being dethroned by activity, but I assume people would prefer to see this game move.
