He claims to accept race realism, but also bizarrely thinks we can intervene and raise these IQs because he posits it MUST have happened to other groups. I.E. he doesnt know anything about this but just cant have the debate so he "accepts it" with barely understanding it to avoid the debate. Again, a sort of Randian Free Will Absolutism pervades his thinking, that there is some behavioral tabula rasa and races will only mentally differ on the traits measured by IQ. Which of course makes no sense, no way nature would only touch the parts of the brain responsible for a test intelligent life would create. Same absurdity as cognitive equality: no way nature would somehow build toward something only man could conceive of for the sake of a particular world-view. It's the new God of the Gaps, falling back to some new ill-defined subject as a new line of defense

Stuff on interventions not working, and that saying these werent sufficient cultural changes is kinda putting the burden of proof on me to disprove some hypothetical extraordinary effort which raises IQ you can't prove.

A queer sort of argument that people can significantly improve their IQs with enough effort and he seems to seriously suggest this as the solution to the B-W IQ gap.

I hate to say it, but you're seriously delusional if you think this is an effective argument. I mean, Sargon says he has admitted that blacks have lower IQs than white for genetic reasons, so you have to accept that as a group they wont measure up. So you either make excuses like the woman in the story or not, but you will be fighting against the fact that blacks and their sympathizers want lower expectations.

And also his answer to tough questions about demography is mostly in the vein of "institutions will force them to be Western" as if that is a solution and not just an assertion. Will it even work? How? For how long? After all Kemalists thought institutions would keep Islamists in Turkey out of power.
