Adler is Count of Wavebreak, inherited from his father who held it before him. He's a young man, but salt is in his blood and the sea calls to him. He has been on or around ships since he was young, and it shows, rarely does he rest on ceremony, and hard work is what he loves best. You're more likely to fid him leading the hunt on corsairs and pirates than in his castle making decrees and holding court. his militant nature is how her earned the colonel at such a young age, destroying or capturing many ships, from poorly equipped and desperate corsairs to privateers, those glorified pirates employed by other nations.  Yet despite all his bluntless and lack of tact, despite his utter disdain for those who are men of leisure and idlenesss over industry and leadership, he desperately wishes to improve both his standing and bearing. What he has, while it may have been enough for his father, is not enough for him. He wants to expand his holding, his name, his wealth and his power. He wants to be a duke or even a Grand duke, an actual player in the game of thrones instead of a pawn traded between one duke or another, five times in a decade.
