Twilight of the Abyss, Session 6

[DM]: *Last time on ZURPG! You fought a Shadowbeast, learning that it has no sight, it only detects by sound. Its front is also nearly impenetrable, protected by a ridiculously strong faceplate. After shenanigans (as per usual), you managed to defeat it, and move on. Kirran interrogated Harry with Eye of Truth, and you guys confirmed he knew where the Interloper was. You encountered the Interloper in a room of mirrors, found out he's got the Twilight Mirror Fragment as a Mirror Sword, and also he's got a pet Shadowbeast.
[Kirran]: oh yeah, Dex. Did they tell you what I did to one up Dhoo?
[Kirran]: I straight dunked on that one. Slam jammed it with the power guantlets
[Kirran]: had your luchador been there, he would have cried tears of pure pride.
[Kirran]: warped myself up into the air, leapt off a pillar, and plummeted down to earth in glorious fashion.
[DM]: *Then shady guy turned out to be le-gasp, The Happy Mask Man! He stuck a mask on the Shadowbeast, turning it into a super Shadowbeast. Then Corsava decided it would be smart to madness the Super Shadowbeast, temporarily double-evolving it before transferring the madness back into herself, thus evolving her own Dark Mark. Also, somehow after Kirran asked Raine if the Mask Man was her master, the Mask Man is now suddenly veeeery interested in Raine and is now going directly after Kirran.
[Kirran]: what is this, Final Fantasy 15?
[Kirran]: so heads up to Dex. Happy Mask is covered by a chaos shield that rolls random statuses on you when you hit it. It's also super tough. It took 35 damage right on the nose and didn't even crack.
[Hal]: Hal should have Block
[Hal]: Where are the boss profiles?
[Kirran]: It was a non-recovery status.

[DM]: *Suddenly, from atop the meteor in the middle of the Observatory, Dex appears! Dex, you see a creepy man with a weird chaotic purply aura walking creepily towards Kirran, his long slender fingers being all giddy while wrapping his face in a maddened expression.

[DM]: (we're doing round-based combat, so coordinate all you wish and go nuts, thar is no turn order! I will say, if you have completed both actions for your turn, type $endturn anyways just so I know who's left)
[DM]: *Interloper immediately shifts from the hallway of darkness, disappearing entirely.

[Kirran]: 15h, 12m Mirage, Cauterized one turn.
[Kirran]: And +5 power from steel shadows.
[DM]: *Shadowbeast looks north into the Mirror Room and sees Hal and Corsava.
[Hal]: (Shadow Beasts can't see, right?)
[DM]: (nope, it can't, but Corsava did just yell something)
[Corsava]: (Oh fuck me)
[Hal]: silently tiptoes out of the way of the Shadow Beast's charge tradjectory, making no sound.
[DM]: *Hal, you move away, but in the mirrors surrounding the walls of the room, you see the Interloper dancing from one reflection to the next.
[DM]: *You still very much hear the whispers, now bouncing all around you. Also Hal, you're feeling more enraged, now in the presence of both the Interloper and Corsava's upgraded Dark Mark.
[DM]: [Mask Man]: Now now, little Sheikah, would you please hand over that fairy of yours?
[DM]: *Mask Man materializes an orb of chaotic energy in his hand, eyes glistening with the reflection of madness incarnate atop his chesire smile.
[DM]: [Raine]: Disco-Navi, help! Wait what?
[Kirran]: @DM where is everyone in regards to position
[Kirran]: ?
[Hal]: taps the mirror, to check to see if it is actually solid or not.
[DM]: *South-most, in the Observatory room, is Kirran, Dex, and Mask Man.
	*Middle, in the Dark Hallway, is the Super Shadowbeast.
	*North, in the Mirror Room, is Hal, Corsava, Darte (presumably), and possibly Interloper.
[DM]: *Hal, the instant you tap it, you see the Interloper in the reflection appear off-guard, turning to attack you.
[DM]: *He raises his Mirror Sword at you, Hal! Do you defend? Or is it just a reflection?
[DM]: *And yes, the mirror was solid.
[DM]: *...... in theory.
[Hal]: defends against the Interloper, holding out his shield.

[Hal]: stays in the Dark Hallway for a moment, waiting as Dex crashes a meteor into Mask Man.
[DM]: *He follows up with a maniacal laughter. On his back, a large backpack of different way-to-real-looking masks appears.

[DM]: *Corsava, in trying to reach the Shadowbeast's thoughts, you hear a mix of things...
[DM]: *On one hand, it's the Interloper whispers, intensified to "kill them kill them kill them"
[DM]: *On another hand, you hear thoughts of chaos and suffering from a history of madness incarnate
[Corsava]: opens her mind to it and calls out clearly Slay the Interloper.
[DM]: *And on the other hand.... you hear a different kind of madness. One that's a language you can't identify. It twists your mind, forcing you yourself to screech loudly in a voice you didn't think was possible. Take 5 neutral damage. Everyone else hears this quite well.

[DM]: *Then, with comedic timing, right as he's about to chuck it at you, all of you hear the world ending and right behind Mask Man, who's smiling oh so gleefully, a metallic meteor busts its way through the Dark Hallway, pulverizing it, and slamming into Mask Man's shield. [DM]: *After a moment, there's a weird vibration rolling through the air. The air itself between the side you're on and the other side seems to distort slightly.
[DM]: [Twili1]: Xanas informs me that... he is expecting you. You may cross the Gravity Bridge. However, do note that Queen Midna herself is also awaiting you. Should you attempt to mean us any harm... the entire Twilight Guard will make sure you never leave that prison ever again.

[DM]: *Inside, there's a massive room, with a long table from one end to the other. Engraved in each empty chair is a name and a good word for each name. At the other end of the room, you see the backside of a tall Twili, probably Darte's height.

[DM]: *The figure turns, revealing Queen Midna, the one Twili in full form with actual pupils in her eyes and instead of some metallic head, she's got long orangish red hair.
[!!]: Sup.
[DM]: *Covering half of her face, nearly blocking the vision of one of her eyes, is some form of mask. It seems to match the symbol you guys seem on the Communication Stones, except that it's only half the symbol. Odd.
[!!]: Nice hat.
[DM]: *She looks intently at your party - a Sheikah, a lizard, and a Gerudo.
[DM]: errr
[Hal]: (I've gotta bail out about now though. Put me on autopiolt. I did follow Xanas)

[DM]: *The guards around you look among each other, then realize Xanas isn't here. Some of them scurry out of the room in a rush to get to Xanas, only to get caught in the doorway in a slightly humorous moment of stupidity before they reorient themselves.

[Kirran]: Yeah. Though, not a very strong one judging by what we've encountered before.
[Kirran]: The one that banished us here was a lot more powerful.

[Kirran]: Interference in it's plans? Sheer pain and frustration? I don't know. All I know is they're invading out world en masse and with help from ancient ancestors of my clan and traitors all.
[Kirran]: They fight a two front war, and I believe they mean to leverage their control of ours to gain ground on yours, since we are, I'm ashamed to admit, losing against them.(edited)
