  1. So here's another update regarding my stream plans in general for the forseeable future, taking into account what's going on IRL.

  6. Right now, I'm working on a dance pad incentive, and so far, it's going alright. We've got another $17 to go until Mario 3 World 2 Blindfolded is unlocked, and I've worked worlds 3 and 4 and possibly 5 in there at this point as well, depending how much shipping & handling for the dance pad is. So as you guys get me closer to the dance pad, you are paid back with blindfolded Mario 3 play.

  11. I don't know when we're going to meet the dance pad incentive, but that's the nature of donation goals. When that happens, I'll order the dance pad, and you guys will get to see me play StepMania on foot. I promise you this will be hilarious as I shake off 4 years of rust, and awesome once the rust is gone. I can guarantee it will be worth every penny regardless of which way you slice it. Having the ability to play on foot will also motivate me more to write charts - which means you get more chart-writing Creative streams.

  13. I'm also in the middle of the process of acquiring and English-patching Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, since I was told that because I love epic boss battles, I'd love that game. So expect to see that on stream sometime soonish. If I don't start before going to camp (I might hold off specifically *because* of camp), then it'll be after camp.

  15. As I type this, I'm at 452 followers. I'll start prepping when I hit 475, so that we can have an amazing 500 Follower Special. I will be allowing you guys to just suggest whatever you think my laptop will run that you'd like me to play, by opening up a Google Doc with free editing privileges. That's probably not the best idea, but I'd rather not give you guys a set pool to choose from this time around, so we'll see just how well you cooperate with making suggestions. What I'll do closer to time is I will check which games I'm interested in, of those that were suggested, and if there is anything I need to acquire to play them (as in, Steam downloads, which I'll likely need help with). The ENTIRE special will be free, part of the reason being that the dance pad incentive may yet be ongoing. There will be no unlocks; everything decided on will be played.

  17. As for speedruns, as I keep saying, Mario and New Blood aren't going anywhere. I still enjoy running those games. I'm just going to be adding other things into the mix over the next few months is all.

  22. Sometime this month, I'm going to camp. Definitely in the latter half of the month, as I've got a new window coming on the 15th that I have to be here for when they come to install it. (That way there is not an epic flood in my room every time it rains.) I don't know precisely how long I'll be at camp, but I'll try to stream a few times from there in between doing things like going to the pool, roasting marshmallows with family at night, and just plain going out for fun. My monetary situation is picking up slightly this month, as last month was the last month I paid for really crappy insurance I just dropped, so I'll have a bit more monetary leeway for what I've got available to me when I go to camp; one of my main goals is to have a lot of fun while I'm there. When I stream at camp, chances are it'll be emulation; stuff like Mario 3, especially if I stream from the camp's clubhouse - the TV would be back in our trailer, so I'd only be able to stream Wii games when I'm at "home" at the trailer.

  24. Hopefully, we can manage the dance pad before the month is out, but I wouldn't want to rush anything, nor would I want to go overestimating. If we manage it that quickly, then I'll order it whenever I get back from camp.

  26. I may order a new keyboard for StepMania play before I go to camp (my father has Amazon Prime), so I drop less inputs and am happier with my scores as a result. (It sucks when you get all the pad Greats.)

  31. September is the last month I owe my father a payment for my new glasses, so my overall financial situation will be the same as it was this month (August). I'll be adding Monster Hunter Portable 3rd casual play into my mix alongside doing speedruns of Mario 3 and Trauma Center games, and I should have enough money that I can order Trauma Team and do a casual play of that, as well, so I'd say you should likely expect a lot of casual gaming on my stream in September.

  33. Near the end of the month, I'll start planning my 2-Year Streamiversary event, as that will be coming up on October 7th.

October will be the first month I will literally see ALL of the money I am making (I have no major outstanding payments on anything anymore, as my dad will be paid off for helping me out with my glasses), so I should be much more able to help sock money away into the dance pad fund if that still isn't met by mid-autumn. If it's necessary, I will literally donate to myself at this point to make sure the donation goal bar goes up, which would mean I'll help get us Mario 3 blindfolded. (Given the way my PayPal Prepaid card works, this is what I'd have to do anyway to get the money to go from my card to my actual Paypal account.)

  40. Also, October 7th is my 2-year Streamiversary, so expect some kind of special for that, which will likely also help things along if necessary. I'll probably plan that in September.

I would assume I should have the dance pad by now, especially given my 2-Year Streamiversary stream, a possible 500 Follower Special, and the ability to place money toward it myself as of October - I think by the end of November, this ought to be a total hand-wave. If that's the case, we can start working on the new PC incentive again, and similar to the dance pad incentive, it won't be event-based this time. (Trying to rush that was a horrible idea.) Hidden inside that will be worlds 6, 7, and 8 of Mario 3 Blindfolded, so that again, as you make progress, you'll be paid back with more blindfolded runs - and once I have the new PC, that backlog I keep talking about can finally happen.

  52. As we continue working toward the new PC during Blue Santa Hat time, I'll make sure the 12 Days of ChristmAce happens again; I'll be planning that in the first half of the month so that I can dedicate time to doing it starting on the 14th.

Hopefully this year, given all the spare money I ought to have by this point, I'll be able to do SOME manner of giveaway on my stream on Christmas; I'd really like to be able to do that, and in so doing, start my eventual mission to begin giving back to my community. Things I'm considering are Steam game(s) (probably like $25 worth or something), or an Amazon gift card (again, probably $25 worth).

  59. Let's make the year's goal to have a dance pad and be at least partway to a new PC, and, of course, to just plain have fun on my stream. I think that sounds reasonable; I believe we can manage that.
