441.
 442. ~Personality~

443. Haru's Strengths:
444. - Loyalty
445. As shown in canon, Haru's loyalty is nearly unbreakable. He will do anything for his friends even if he thinks it's a hassle. It's a part of him that he doesn't quite question and no one else seems to point out too often, but Haru does feel that he needs to show his loyalty to them as often as possible. It could be that it comes from his feelings of guilt from being so upset over hurting Rin. Of course, Makoto hasn't ever held that against Haru in the past.

446. - Dependable
447. This is shown easily when Nagisa needs somewhere to stay in the second season. Haru didn't have to allow the other into his home but he still did it. He wanted to take Nagisa in and find out what was wrong and many of the swim team know that Haru's house is always open for them if they need somewhere to stay or meet up with one another.
Not only that, but Haru offered Nagisa his own swim shorts when the other boy's sisters decided to play a prank on him by exchanging his own. He's always been there for Makoto and the others, as well as being there for Rei to help him with his swimming, even if he didn't do as much as Rin did.

448. - Caring
449. If one notices, Haru always puts himself between the ocean and Makoto because he knows that his friend is scared of it. Haru doesn't want Makoto to feel as if he will be left to his own fears and will not allow that if he can help it.
450. Not only that, but Haru cared that there was a reason as to why Nagisa was attempting to run away from home. Of course, the entire swim team did their best to help protect Nagisa from being sent away.
451. Haru worried about Rin and how he hurt him for quite a long time, he beat himself up over it and wouldn't allow anyone in to help him. He cared that he may have done something to hurt his friend and Haru didn't know how to deal with that for a long time. Seeing Rin lose his strength in a race in the first season wounded Haru enough that he had to make sure he was alright even if they were on bad terms.
452. His caring is mostly for his friends and the swim team but it's possible that Haru's warmth could extend to someone that's outside of his circle of friends and familiar faces. This would need a few different meetings in order to happen but it could very well end up being a large possibility.

453. - Adaptable
454. It's over time but Haru is able to adapt to different situations easily. When Rei was introduced into the group, Haru was able to work around him until he started welcoming him and working with him.
455. For Haru, the newer something is, the harder it is for him to get used to it. This could be said of how he responds to cell phones and such but it could also refer to non-pressure induced issues. As long as Haru can make his own decisions on his own time, he's normally quite alright. However, add pressure to the mix and his moodiness comes in to play.

456. - Responsive
457. Different things get Haru's attention but the one thing that really makes his eyes come to life is water. Not to overplay the quirk but he does feel that the water responds to him as well. As his astrological sign is Cancer, it can be said that Haru is simply responding to the way the water relates to his sign.
458. At the same time, Haru is responsible for himself and his own home, it's been dulled down a little. His response to different stimuli is a little difficult to pin down but Haru doesn't respond well to being left alone suddenly and for long periods of time. He also doesn't fair well when it comes to pressure being forced on him, Haru is not someone that works well under pressure at all, claiming that it can ruin some people. Himself included.
 459.

460. Haru's Weaknesses:
461. - Moody
462. Being moody is just something that comes with Haru. When he gets offended by something, he can easily become sassy or sarcastic, he's not completely emotionless as many would like to assume of him. Things that really aggravate him are normally met with thinly veiled hostility and underlying anger, though he doesn't become physically violent.
463. Dealing with him on a normal day, Haru can go through several different emotions even before noon, however that's normal of most people. He can say and do things that he doesn't necessarily mean but that doesn't actually go to show that he's unable to fully connect. If he does notice what his words have done, it's usually intentional, if it's not, then Haru will apologize soon enough.

464. - Clingy
465. He doesn't like for people to up and leave. That's not something that's okay with Haru at all.
466. When his parents left, Haru had a difficult time adjusting even as a baby. It wasn't until his grandmother's death that his hold on Makoto and the rest of his friends ended up becoming far more powerful. He understood that Rin's leaving for Australia was coming up as well, but that didn't mean Haru did well with it.
467. If someone were to leave for a sudden, prolonged trip, Haru would do horribly. He would feel abandoned and end up having severe separation anxiety when they did come back.

468. - Self-pitying
469. There are times when pressure of academic and social issues becomes too much for Haru and he ends up breaking on them. Along with that, his depression can creep in and make it very easy for him to pity himself, making it difficult for anyone to reach him.
470. In these episodes, Haru may end up becoming overly harsh with people he wouldn't normally attack but he doesn't do it out of hatefulness, he does it out of fear and self-loathing. Haru attempts to drive people away from himself, thinking it will do them both good. What happens, as shown in canon in the second season, Haru simply ends up curled up on his bed wallowing in his own self-pity.

471. - Oversensitive
472. This is shown several times over canon when Haru becomes rather upset, even just the slightest bit, and ends up either pouting or giving a nasty retort to another character. With this, it's not unheard of for him to take things personally even if the intention to harm him isn't there. He sometimes cannot tell the difference between constructive criticism and sheer meanness but Haru does his best to take it and improve from it.
473. There are a few instances when he does show that he's a little more sensitive than normal, like his fight with Makoto and talking to Rin in Australia about it. Actually talking about the issue is something that's fairly new to him, enough that Haru has a few issues bringing it up or even fully taking care of the problem itself. He'd rather run from it.

474. - Self-absorbed
475. He doesn't mean to be but Haru can sometimes overlook someone else's issues in favor of his own. When he fought with Makoto, he didn't congratulate him on getting into a college, instead he made it about himself and unintentionally guilted Makoto for it. Later on, it's implied that he did break out of this but it's throughout the seasons that Haru is a little centered on himself.
476. If it's brought up, he'll deny it, but there are a lot of clues that make it quite easy to prove he really is. Haru doesn't often do much in the way of helping solve other people's problems unless they're brought to him. His loyalty and this self-absorbed issue makes it a little difficult for him to actually do anything for his friends. He wonders how it can benefit him or how he can get out of it or work around it.
 477.

478. Haru and Independence:
479.
480. Haru is packed full of contradictions, like most humans, so when it comes ot independence, he possibly can or cannot be independent.
481.
482. On one side, he has the perserverance and drive to do what needs to be done, he is self-sufficient and doesn't need to depend on other people ofr material and physical things in life.
483.
484. On the other hand, he depends on people for emotional support and encouragement. Haru is not fully self-actualized and needs the constant support of others, so it's not completely independent. However, if he does manage to properly harness his emotional issues, he can be wildly successful as an independent human being.
485.
486. He craves attention and comfort from other people and he's happiest when he has a small, close knit group of friends or family. A.K.A. the swim club.
487.
488. Haru and Friendship:
489.
490. Haru is extremely loyal to those who appreciate and support him. He's a nurturer and will protect and cherish these people for a long time.
491.
492. One of the greatest things about Haru is his ability to make others feel good about themselves and loved. This is because he's not doing it for himself, he projects this onto other people. This is a positive cycle because in making others feel nutured, wanted, and loved, Haru in return feels good for making them feel that way.
493.
494. Other people can lean on and depend on Haru, he will listen to people's problems and help them however, he will rarely express his own deep feelings to anyone. This is partly why he allowed Makoto to read his eyes and expressions to guess on it instead. People who want to share deep emotional thoughts and opinions with im might feel that the scales are tippepd on one side for Haru will rarely reveal his deeper thoughts and emotions. The biggest exception is Makoto and whoever is his significant other.
495.
496. A friend of Haru's is usually a lifelong devoted friend that can be trusted.

497. Haru's Temperament:
498.
499. He is complex, fragile, unpredication, and teperamental. He needs constant support and encouragement, moreso than other people, and Haru needs to be needed.
500.
501. Even when all needs are satisfied, he can be irritable and cranky. He has an uneasy, delicate temperament. The contradictory nature gives him his temper and wild mood swings, along with a few temper tantrums.
502.
503. As such, he is easily offended and will sulk and wallow in self pity for a long time when hurt. However, when it comes to jealousy, his partner must be able to deal with it. Haru's ability to be highly prone to intense jealousy makes it seem as if it's a wild-running river that is four miles wide and eight miles deep.
