  1. Privacy Policy for LiteTube: Fix YouTube Lag & Adblock Detection
  2.
  3. Effective Date: January 23, 2026
  4. 1. Introduction
  5.
  6. LiteTube: Fix YouTube Lag & Adblock Detection ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Extension handles your data.
  7. 2. Data Collection and Usage
  8. 2.1. No Personal Data Collection
  9.
  10. The Extension does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, email addresses, or browsing history to our servers.
  11. 2.2. SponsorBlock Integration
  12.
  13. To provide the feature of skipping non-content segments (e.g., sponsored content, intros), the Extension communicates with the public SponsorBlock API (https://sponsor.ajay.app).
  14.
  15. What is sent: When you load a video, an anonymized 11-character Video ID is sent to the SponsorBlock API.
  16.
  17. Purpose: To retrieve timestamps for segments to be skipped.
  18.
  19. Privacy: This request is necessary for the functionality. The Extension does not send your IP address or cookies explicitly, though standard web requests naturally reveal IP addresses to the receiving server (SponsorBlock). Please refer to the SponsorBlock Privacy Policy for more details on how they handle API requests.
  20.
  21. 2.3. Local Storage
  22.
  23. The Extension uses your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) solely to save your preferences (e.g., toggling specific features on/off). This data never leaves your device.
  24. 3. Third-Party Services
  25.
  26. YouTube: The Extension interacts with YouTube's website to modify the player interface and remove ads. It acts as a client-side filter and does not transmit your YouTube viewing data to us.
  27.
  28. 4. Contact
  29.
  30. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact the developer via the support email provided on the extension store listing.
