>You are Princess Celestia, and you are currently laying in your bed.
>You’re at that drifting stage where you’re not asleep, but you aren’t awake either.
>A knock on the door breaks the silence in the room.
>”Princess Celestia?”
>A voice calls out from behind the closed door.
“Yes?”
>You groggily respond.
>”This is your morning wakeup call as requested.”
>”The voice answers.
“Thank you.”
>You reply as you throw the blankets off and begin your morning routine.
>Several minutes later you are preened, proper, and presentable with your royal regalia all in place.
>You look out the window and see the position of the moon.
>It looks like you have just enough time to do one of your favorite things before you raise the sun.
>Check in on your son.
>You exit your room and make your way down the hallway.
>As you are walking, you remember first encountering him.
>How small and helpless he was as he was laying in the garden crying.
>And how he immediately stopped when you approached him and he heard your voice.
>How he eventually crawled into your heart and you knew you needed him in your life.
>So, against the request of your advisors, you adopted the ‘strange creature’ as they called him.
>But you never saw a strange creature when you looked at him.
>Instead, you saw your perfect little stallion who can make you laugh and even at times forget the weight of the crown and put life into perspective for you.
>You saw your son.
>You arrive outside his room and ever so slowly and quietly open his door with your magic.
>You are greeted by his sleeping form wrapped up contently in a thick blanket on his bed.
>Seeing something as simple as the blanket raising up and lowering with each breath he takes is almost hypnotic.
>It reassures you that he is alright.
>There were times in the middle of the night you got up just to check on him and see that he was still breathing.
>You were being paranoid and you knew it.
>But you still had to be sure.
>You smile to yourself and close the door as quietly as you can so as not to wake him.
>Once the door is closed you continue to the observation balcony to meet Luna so that she can lower the moon and you can raise the sun.
>You hear Anon’s door open.
>The first time this happened, you thought the door didn’t latch properly.
>But you know better and it has been made into a sort of game.
>You smile again and continue walking.
>You hear shuffling behind you followed by the sound of one of the potted plants in the hall rustling.
>Turning your head you see part of Anonymous’ form poking out of his hiding place as he crouches behind the pot.
“Oh my, I didn’t know the plants in the castle could shake all by themselves. There must be a strong breeze in here.”
>You say, trying to sound surprised.
>You hear a giggle from his hiding place.
>This causes you to laugh as well.
“I also didn’t know they could laugh either. I must let Luna know of this.”
>You say with faux amazement.
>This prompts even more giggles to come from behind the plant.
>Hearing him happy makes your heart soar.
>You start walking to the balcony again and occasionally hear Anon running behind you, all while trying to maintain his cover so that you don’t know you’re being followed.
>You finally arrive at your destination and find Luna waiting for you there.
>”Greetings dear sister, I trust you slept well.”
>She says as you approach her side.
“Of course Luna, just as I trust your night was peaceful and quiet.”
>You tell her.
>She looks behind you and smiles.
>”It appears you have a little shadow, sister.”
>She says as if you didn’t already know.
>You feign confusion at her words.
“Why whatever do you mean? But I will have you know I made a rather odd discovery this morning.”
>You start to explain.
>She seems to understand and plays along.
>”Really? And pray tell sister, what was your discovery?”
>She asks.
“Several of our plants here at the castle are able to move and even giggle on their own.”
>You answer her.
>”My word, this is an amazing find. The Science Academy should definitely be made aware of this. But perhaps for now, we should concentrate on our lowering of the moon and raising of the sun.”
>She informs you.
“Of course.”
>You add.
>Both of your horns glow and Luna lowers her moon, making way for you to raise your sun.
>The first rays of morning appear and paint the sky beautiful colors.
>No matter how many times you do this, you always love this site.
>”Wow.”
>Comes Anon’s voice from behind you.
>This causes Luna and yourself to laugh.
>Guess your little Anonymous likes it to.
“Now, shall we go and tell the world of my discovery of moving giggling plants?”
>You ask while forcing yourself to be serious.
>”Yes, of course. But who shall we tell first?”
>She replies, matching your seriousness.
“What about Anonymous?”
>You declare with enthusiasm.
>”Yes sister, a fine choice. He should still be in his bed at present and not roaming the halls, so let us go to him.”
>She says a little louder than a normal conversation would need.
>You hear a gasp from behind you followed by the sound of Anon trying to run while also trying to remain silent.
>You lift a wing to your face and cover your mouth and chuckle.
>Luna, you see, is doing the same thing.
>You both slowly begin to walk to Anon’s room, making sure to give him enough time to return to it before you arrive.
>A brief stroll later you are both outside his door, still ajar, and enter.
>You see your son wrapped in his blanket again, only this time he is making an exaggerated snoring sound.
>Your sister and you both snicker at his attempt to fool you.
>You walk to the side of his bed and Luna joins you as well.
>Even when he is pretending to sleep, you realize how much you love him.
>But that doesn’t mean you don’t enjoy messing with him every now and then.
“Dear sister, young Anonymous looks far too relaxed and at ease. I fear I may not have it in me to wake him.”
>Luna says, practically reading your mind.
>She knew as well as you how much he enjoyed pretending to sleep, hoping to try and fool you.
>You wonder if other little fillies or colts did this as well or if it is just something Anon does.
“I must agree, I’m not sure I could wake him either. I suppose we should just leave him to rest while we go enjoy a nice tasty breakfast by ourselves.”
>You state.
>”Indeed, best to let him rest. A shame though, I had heard the chef prepared on of Anonymous’s favorite breakfast pastries this morning too.”
>She says.
>This causes Anon’s fake snoring to stop.
“You wouldn’t happen to mean the chef’s famous coffee cake with the streusel icing do you?”
>You ask.
>”I do indeed.”
>She answers.
>You see him try to squint his eyes so that he can see, but still appear to be asleep.
>”Well, we shouldn’t linger here and risk waking him.”
>Your sister says while still maintaining her straight face.
>You both turn and begin to leave.
>Almost immediately you hear the sound of weight being shifted on his bed.
>”Mommy, Auntie Luna! Don’t do, I was just pretending!”
>He almost cries out.
>Turning back, you both see him looking almost a little distraught.
>”Well, you certainly had me fooled dear nephew.”
>Luna says as she trots over to him and nuzzles him.
>Instantly his mood is lifted and he is laughing again.
>This causes you to smile.
>You react that way frequently when you are around him.
>You walk over to him and start to nuzzle him as well.
“Now, I’ve raised one sun today. Would you like me to raise the other my little prince?”
>You ask him, already knowing the answer.
>”Yes please.”
>He says smiling and nodding.
“Alright my little ray of sunshine.”
>You say as you kiss his forehead.
>You step back and your horn starts to glow as you begin to concentrate.
>He is quickly covered in your magic and lifted from his bed and placed onto your back.
>Once there he starts to play with your ethereal mane.
>Another thing he loved to do.
“Well, we should all get something to eat. Are you ready to go my little one?”
>You ask him.
>”Mm-hm.”
>He again nods in response.
>You all start to leave his room.
“So sweetheart, you wouldn’t happen to know anything about giggling plants in the hallways would you?”
>You ask him.
