- Samus brought her blade down. If it didn’t cleave Robin’s doppelganger in two it’d at least let his guts free into the open air.
- Neither happened. With blinding speed and a level of finesse that his sword did not deserve, he got in under the curvature of her swing and used his blade to slide hers to the side, redirected her entire trajectory.
- He then continued into the motion, spun around and skewered through Samus’s gut in the gap under his shoulder.
- Samus wasted no time with the pain. She pushed forward, the blade sliding a few inches deeper into her guts, but it was close enough to grab Robin’s doppelganger by the throat and slam him to the muddy ground.
- The blade slipped out of her innards, and blood began to pour over his limp form. She raised her sword, aimed at his heart.
- The other doppelganger’s arms hooked under hers. Her sword was pulled back, and with a slight curve, Samus was slammed back down into the mud.
- Robin didn’t take a second of recovery. Any injury sustained was forgotten as soon as opportunity arose.
- Samus tried to push herself back up. She managed to sit, just in time for Leaf’s doppelganger to lock her arms behind her back with strength that Samus couldn’t hope to match.
- Robin pushed in for a stab. Samus leveraged what she did have, and it wasn’t much, and launched a kick that knocked him on his ass.
