BACKGROUND ┊ chaerin was born as a 'surprise' to a caucasian father and a korean mother in los angeles. she was also raised there for 16 years of her life, so she's fluent in english though she did pick up bits and pieces of korean from her mother. after that, she and her older brother were taken to korea with their mother in hopes to find a better living. there, chaerin and her brother studied korean but are only semi-fluent. chaerin's father had stayed behind in los angeles because he felt like he wouldn't be ready to merge with a completely foreign culture. to this day, chaerin, her mother and her brother seldom make contact with chaerin's father.

> his impression of her: he first saw her when they were getting their food and their tickets. he saw how stone-cold her voice sounded and how she never said, "please" or "thank you" when she was ordering. when she turned around to leave, she caught him staring at her and rudely asked, "what are you staring at?" quickly, he responded, "n-nothing." but really he thought that she was being unbelievably rude. later on, he found out that they were seeing the same movie in the same theatre and that they were only a couple rows away from each other. during the movie, he noticed how she never squirmed or screamed unlike most of the girls in the theatre. then, he really thought that she didn't have a heart.

HOW SHE ACTS AROUND HIM ┊ in the beginning, she honestly hated him, most especially because of the first impression he made on her. she would constantly roll her eyes around him and would want to be as far away from him as possible. but eventually, they started spending more time together and though she was still hardy as fuck, anyone would be able to tell that she wasn't as cold-hearted as she had been before. she didn't feel the need to be as far away from him but she would still argue and roll her eyes at him. in the end, he was one of the only people she would open up to, but never in public. it would always be whenever they were alone. otherwise, she'd always pretend to hate him and be annoyed by him etc. except for when she thought that other girls were staring at him, she would kiss him to show them that he was hers.

HOW HE ACTS AROUND HER ┊ in the beginning, he was annoyed by how ignorant and insensitive she was and couldn't handle being around her. he would do anything just to avoid being in the same room as her. but once they started spending more time together, he found out little things that attracted him to her. he wanted to show more pda with her like holding hands n shit but she hates that crap so she wouldn't do it. it sorta made him made but eventually he learnt to tolerate it. in the end, he was completely in love with her even though they had their major differences and she always pretended to hate him whenever people were around.
