  1. 'Sup, doods!
  2.
  3. Am I 100% proud of myself for the work I put in this weekend? No.
  4.
  5. I started the weekend with the mantra “stop consuming, start creating.” If you want things in your life to change, you have to be prepared to make sacrifices to make that change happen. My subconscious has yet to embrace this, apparently.
  6.
  7. I then pivoted to the philosophy of “always strive for self-improvement.” That is, always be doing something to improve yourself or accomplish whatever goals you set for yourself. No matter what you are doing, always make progress towards one of those objectives. For me, that turned into using my mini-bike more while I ate and watched YouTube or while I saw the most recent SNES Dr. Mario tournament. GGs, Acmlm. What a beast.
  8.
  9. I wanted to have the Kirby's Avalanche stream layout 100% completely done by the end of yesterday. As I currently sit here at 10:55 PM on Sunday typing out this portion of the update about to hit the hay once the next paragraphs are done, I still have three scenes I want to prepare the graphics for. Those will get done this weekend, however, so I don't feel the need to break off from what I have planned for the week. Perhaps I can do even more with avalanches?
  10.
  11. I still overeat like a motherfather when I'm not working, though. I need to lay off the snacks. I need to lay off the regular sodas. I need to be more assertive with my mother and tell her not to buy so much food. Self-improvement is not going to happen for me through solely my own efforts, it seems.
  12.
  13. Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals:
  14.
  15. Goal #2: create a broadcast stream layout for the next LPS minor speedrun tournament game, Kirby's Avalanche. I have 70% of the assets I want to use extracted and transformed to my liking.
  16. Goal #3: update the LPS Pokémon Puzzle League broadcast layout to be better automated like the Tetris Attack layout.
  17. Goal #4: edit my first batch of Kirby's Avalanche runs. And my Falsebound Kingdom run. And my Mario Golf run. And my second batch of Kirby's Avalanche runs. I'mma need a minute for this. I may need to move the priority up to get it done sooner.
  18. Goal #5: script and record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. I have some scripts to touch up before feeling comfortable with moving on to recording gameplay. Then I will need to record my talking points and edit it all together. I will still want to take time during the week to do all of that instead of stream. Whether I will be able to remains to be seen.
  19. Goal #6: clean up my own stream layout. I am brainstorming how I want the final theming to be. I probably want to give people multiple options, maybe allow spending bits to change the look. I don't have anything written down yet. I don't expect to get to this anytime soon, but I might need to dedicate time to it to ever get it done.
  20. Goal #7: maybe make a universal LPS broadcast layout. I have a base, but perhaps I should stylize one for the LPS brand. Hopefully I wouldn't over-homogenize it like SpeedGaming did.
  21. Goal #8: release the Puzzle League tutorial series YouTube shorts once a day until they're all done. I really do think I need to time the release of the series with a ramping up of my streaming schedule so that I can take advantage of whatever there is to gain from releasing the shorts.
  22.
  23. This week's schedule:
  24.
  25. (All broadcasts begin at 7pm CT)
  26.
  27. Tuesday – Tue-Gi-Oh! (Yu-Gi-Oh! game speedruns) – I guess I'm in it for the Sub-5 Lottery in The Falsebound Kingdom, huh?
  28. Wednesday – Wild Cards Wednesday (whatever speedruns I feel like) – Star Peach learning in Mario Golf: Advance Tour's Speed Golf actually made real progress last week. The sooner I keep on this, the sooner I can get back to proper runs.
  29. Thursday – Opening Round (golf game speedruns) – Continuing to write the Star Peach Marion Front Tees Speed Golf guide.
  30. Friday – Friday Night Salt Mines (community speedrun races) – With the multiple PBs in Kirby's Avalanche last week, the community buzz is picking up for the upcoming tournament.
  31.
  32.
  33. That’s my life story for the week. Later, doods!
