  15. Faction Name: The Jakuza Group
  16.
  17. Faction Summary, and Overview (what you want it to do): The Jakuza Group is going to act as a unifying name to attach to the wide variety of smaller business ventures and other interests my people will be involved in. For starters it will only function to fulfill the functions of a law firm, tax service, noodle stand, bath house, and blade smithing. The group will passively dip it's fingers into as many facets of the economy as possible, as profitably as possible. We also intent to provide odd jobs for lower tier people as the server continues to ramp up over time.
  18.
  19. Things you need to make your faction work:
  20.
  21. -An off map cube to build within(due to property limitations), to facilitate our business ventures.
  22.
  23.
  24. -A metaphorical legion of pre-licensed businesses for accounting purposes and to avoid the copious amounts of business licensing costs that would have been paid already.
  25.
  26. - Food vendor flags.
  27.
  28. - A reasonable amount of starting materials for our blade smith, that amount is up for discussion.
  29.
  30. -Whatever starter money you do or don't want to toss our way. (Enough to pay for Corp HQ if we need to.)
  31.
  32.
  33. Desired Passive Income: Up for discussion. I'm not sure what the economy is at.

  53. Roleplay or Writing Example:
  54.
  55. --Raindrops dot puddles lining an alleyway, a small set of stairs lead up to a side door along a brick building. Nearby a car idles, the running lights glowing in a bright scarlet among the darkness. Suddenly the door bursts open as two suited individuals escort a third man with a bag on his head and a dress shirt dripping with a mixture of blood and water. The third man struggles and grunts as the two suited individuals force him into the trunk of the car, curses and swears can be plainly heard during the exchange.
  56.
  57. ‎**Kin Ikusagami grunts in annoyance and turns to Nishimura, he speaks up in his native tongue, "Hold his arm down, we're breaking his fingers."
  58.
  59. "Welcome to the Jakuza bathhouse." Hana Ikari says with a smile and a bow. "We hope you enjoy your stay, gentlemen. Ms. Kiyomizu will take you to your bath."
  60.
  61. --The laminated wood floors shine beautifully in the brightly lit stylized foyer. Paper doors hang on the walls and various small sitting areas dot the front room, the smell of a busy kitchen looms in from a rightward doorway.
  62.
  63. "Actually we were here to speak to Mr. Jakuza. We had a few questions regarding a case." The senior of two inspectors says straightforwardly.
  64.
  65. "Of course, I'll contact him immediately. In the mean time, why don't you fine officers help yourselves to the work of our very own Kazuki Haruko?"
  66.
  67. "The chef?" Inquires the younger inspector with a look of excitement.
  68.
  69. The senior inspector looks over with a scowl, then looking over toward the busy eatery he expresses just a hint of desire. "Might as well..."

  74. Backstory (Preferred, not inherently required): Kenji Jakuza was but a humble noodle salesman in the year 1894, business was good. But no one appreciates a successful honest businessman more than a dishonest businessman. Criminals began to take advantage of the relatively low government presence in the area by strong arming local business. The head of the organization at the front of it all was a man named Taigen Yamato, a man of hard heart and strong will. But he had a weak spot, his daughter Tamako. After losing both of his sons, Taigen knew what criminal organization he had made would be torn apart after his death, but he was far more worried about the fate of his last remaining child. He conspired to marry her off to Kenji as the quickest way to remove her from the underworld. What followed, he didn't begin to imagine. Following the untimely death of Taigen, none other than Kenji seized power over the criminal syndicate with the assistance of the daughter of it's former leader and support of the local businesses, at the time promising an end to the criminal racketeering. In the following two hundred years the company was smartly stewarded by the Jakuza family, growing to the large conglomerate of small organizations dotting Japan we know today, never getting involved with major industry and also keeping it's resources decentralized for fear of exposing it's underworld ties, a symbiotic relationship, a peaceful coexistence. The continued militarization of corporations threatens this arrangement however, as does the ever increasing foreign presence. It's only matter of time before something needs to change.
