In today's age, I think posting personal information on a public forum is a mistake. At least in America it is, and I think enough Americans visit this page everyday that I believe allowing personal information to be posted is a security error.

Requesting an amendment to make posting that information a post-deletable offense.

Information that doesn't need to be shared (since this is a WoW forum afterall)

-Gamer tags (PSN, Xbox Live, etc)

-Email addresses (With the exception of voluntarily posting that information on your profile page)

-Pictures including your face (Post a pic of your Pet thread OK)

-Street addresses (duh)

-Full names (duh)

-Telephone numbers (duh)


Posting the information on a profile is one thing....putting it on a freely accessible public forum is another. At least if it's on a profile we're less responsible for damages since they have more control over that information.
