  1. Well I've sure been in a hole the last few years! :zen:
  2.
  3. I just found out about this forum website yesterday, and was very excited to read through (much of) these long threads about the experimenting that has been done with electronic assists for lucid-dream induction:
  4. 1) http://www.attrape-songes.com/forum/le-coin-des-geeks/(prototype)-induire-rl-detecteur-de-sommeil-paradoxal/
  5. 2) http://www.attrape-songes.com/forum/le-coin-des-geeks/masque-rem-dreamer/
  6.
  7. I had no idea that Kaan, Paul, and Barsoom have been doing all this experimenting behind my back. ;D
  8.
  9. Unfortunately I don't speak French, so I've had to read it all through the filter of Google Translate. But it actually does quite a good job, letting me understand almost everything. (except some of the phrases, such as "embarrassment" apparently meaning partner in bed? ;D) It's very funny to hear another language's many metaphors and phrases for things, and trying to guess what they mean.
  10.
  11. Anyway, reading those threads makes me see that my ideas have been very much in line with the experiments Kaan, Paul, and Barsoom have been performing. I subscribed to the above threads, so I can stay up-to-date with their progress, so we can all learn from each other.

  13. Anyway, for this thread on the SmartLucider specifically, I was surprised the device was so cheap (relatively speaking), so I purchased it as well (from the Ebay authorized seller, since the main site doesn't sell to the US yet). Should be here in a week (18th), so am excited to test along with the rest of you! (lucky me that I found this site and thread exactly one day after the group found out about it)
  14.
  15. Oh also: Hello Sebastii! Like mentioned in my email, I'm still going ahead with my Muse S experiment, so don't worry I will do both experiments in parallel. :)
  16.
  17. It's taking some time since I'm having to learn machine learning, which I've never used before, for detecting the eye movements reliably. It's fun, but it's quite a deep hole to jump into, as there are so many layers and algorithms in machine learning to learn about!
  18.
  19. I will probably post most of my own updates in a thread on DreamViews (since it uses English, so more comfortable for me), but will continue reading the electronic-device related threads on these forums with great interest.
  20.
  21. Onward, for the dream of someday bringing reliable lucid dreaming to both ourselves, and the masses! :dodo:
