  1. No worries dude, do your thing. Thanks for sending over those trace routes.
  2.
  3. Same deal as before, it's looking like your home network is perfectly healthy. No issues at all there. The trouble's coming from a specific node in Time Warner's network. Here's what it looks like in both trace routes:
  4.
  5. ae63.edwkkyai01h.midwest.rr.com - 2 | 415 | 407 | 0 | 430 | 2917 | 30 |
  6. 2% packet loss, ping spikes up to 2900 ms, and the average ping times for that node are at 430 ms.
  7.
  8. ae63.edwkkyai01h.midwest.rr.com - 4 | 308 | 296 | 18 | 787 | 3511 | 2879 |
  9. 4% packet loss, 3511 ms for the largest ping spike, and 787 ms for the average ping time.
  10.
  11. At this point, your best bet is to reach out to Time Warner and let them know what's going on. Send them these trace routes if possible, and ask to speak to a Tier 2 tech agent. Here's hoping they can either re-route you, or reset their nodes. The blame has fallen on their shoulders, so let's hope they can pull through for you.

  13. In the mean time, while you wait for them to take action, I can recommend some VPNs. Using a VPN may help you improve the stability of your connection, but it will likely slightly increase your ping. Here are the VPN programs that we suggest:
  14.
  15. Haste - new player favorite, and recommended by a few of us in the office. They're hyper-focused on only two games: Overwatch and League of Legends.
  16. Hot Spot Shield is a free service!
  17. UltraSurf another free service.
  18. CyberGhost has a free option as well.
  19. WTFast is a paid service, but they do have a free trial you can experiment with.
  20. Best of luck bud. Let me know if you have any questions!
