- Kumonga was confused.
- Kumonga was a bit used to being confused by now. Lots of things happened that were quite a bit over his head. Not literally, given that the only things he’d seen since getting here were very small things, but… Anyways, lots of things had happened that Kumonga didn’t understand. Luckily, the smallest small girl had always been there to explain. Failing that, she gave Kumonga something to smash. Smashing was very simple, and more importantly, it made sense. The fact that the smallest small girl made things made sense was one of the things Kumonga liked most about her.
- But the smallest small girl wasn’t here anymore, as far as Kumonga could tell. He was in a very, very large globe, made of hard silver metal in just about every direction. It didn’t shake or move, but he got the impression things were moving around a bunch outside, especially recently. It was dark and very lonely, and most importantly, it didn’t make any sense.
- Everything had been going pretty well- while the flying small girl had been a bit annoying to deal with, there had been many such annoying things around him lately, so it didn’t bother him much. As it always was, the smallest small girl was around to guide Kumonga towards something to smash. The goopy man and the other small girl were usually around too, and they were nice, so Kumonga enjoyed their company as well. Everything was simple.
- Then came the last fight, in a big metal box, against a small girl with a hat and a small boy with white hair. They didn’t seem very nice, but most others didn’t. Stuff changed around Kumonga for a little bit, but everything was simple until the small girl with the hat made a light come from her hand. After that, Kumonga found himself here, dark and alone and above all else, very confused.
- *H-Hello…?*
- A voice? Kumonga was used to hearing all kinds of voices, but this one was… different. It didn’t come from anyplace. It came from everyplace, from Kumonga’s own head. A feeling came with it, something warm and gentle. It felt like basking in the sun on Monster Island. It felt nice.
- *Your name is… Kumonga, right?*
- The voice was timid… cautious. Yes, definitely cautious. Kumonga had to learn more about that when the smallest small girl told him not to smash something. Difficult at first, but Kumonga eventually got the hang of it. Sort of.
- *I’m Yellow.*
- (...)
- *...I see. I’m glad to-*
- *Yellow?*
- Kumonga recoiled, even with nowhere else to go. Another voice. Different, with a different feeling. Like meeting a new monster, and unknown entity. Kumonga didn’t like this, not one bit.
- *Hermes?*
- *Open your eyes, woman- the arena’s shifting!*
