  1. A cool breeze blew in from across the beautiful lake, as the brilliance of a noon-day sun blazed though the light cloud cover over head, shading just enough of the life-giving rays to keep it from being a harsh existence. Idly butterflies fluttered by into the field of flowers across from that, the steady breeze ruffling the flower beds as an owner might ruffle the fur upon their favored pet. All the while even the wood across from that seemed inviting as the grassy meadow on this side of the lake’s bank grew thick with short, soft, inviting, carpeting grasses.
  2.
  3. The perfect scene for a massacre.
  4.
  5. “Come on put your back into it, falling off is not permitted.” Ruby Redd called out as she continued the training which she’d promised, watching from her lawn chair as her minions ran the circuits of training which she’d set. A small smile graced her lips as one of her bitches walked over with a tall cool glass of lemonade, probably Iolite... not that she’d looked over to tell. “Oh come on, put your backs into kids, the one who fails is going to have to take a spanking!”
  6.
  7. This, this was what she loved.
  8.
  9. This was the entire reason she’d applied to become a manager in the first place, making sure every step of her adolescent life that she’d have all the needed attributes to fully qualify for the job, not bullshit between her and what she wanted as she bossed people around into their fullest potential.
  10.
  11. And this was just what the typical morning had become too.
  12.
  13. Ruby Redd could honestly say that this was what she’d truly wanted out of life. Well with a few additions that she hadn’t been expecting along the way, but still this was it. A nice breeze, cool drink of slightly spiked lemon juice… and bitches running around at her command.
  14.
  15. “Oh come on Twelve, put your back into those arrows, if you don’t hit her you’re going to have to go without your mask for a whole day.” Ruby shouted at the dark-matter generator even as she redoubled her efforts at shooting the blunted constructs at a very disgruntled Kuro even as she practically danced naked on top of a rotating springboard positioned within the lake, trying desperately to dodge arrows, while teleporting in place on the red area of the springboard at its edge and teleporting rocks into another mobile target at the edge of her range.
  16.
  17. She’d lost clothing privileges from the last session, leaving the bruises which she’d picked up from this session as Twelve landed blows, more visible to all who were involved. A little extra motivation, and for the best really... she was soaking wet from all the times she’d teleported and missed the platform only to land in the lake.
  18.
  19. “You Biri-biris better not be slacking off either. I thought I saw the platform slowing down there… and why’s the target not moving faster?” Ruby called out to the twin electromaster clones, their hands visibly sparking as they poured electricity into the wires which connected both the rotating scrap tower upon which Kuro continue to attempt, unsuccessfully, not to fall off of an the target which, unsuccessfully, she attempted to also hit. A brilliant set up in its own right, Ruby had to say, after all, as the twins got better at their powers, it made it ever more of a necessity for Kuro to improve with her own, after all as they poured more electricity in, the target and tower moved faster and faster… and they were encouraged to vary their control of both their movements so as not to fall into too predictable a pattern for Kuro to settle on.
  20.
  21. They were after all fighting for their own right to access the sweets which they tended to crave.
  22.
  23. Getting Silica to order that scrap raid had been nothing short of a master stroke… if she said so herself. After all, the experience of fighting off Zombies for all the right pieces of scrap needed to build these edifices of tortur… um training… which currently the clones were enjoying. Kunzite it seemed had been especially suited to the entire exercise, his iron scale completely resistant to the bite of Zombies, even as he devastated them with claws of the same strength while leaping his way through the built up edifice of junk like a mad jackrabbit. Or at least so she’d been told by the treasure hunting crew once they made their report back.
  24.
  25. “Mmm…” Ruby moaned slightly into her lightly alcoholic lemonade, letting the straw slip from her satisfied lips for a moment, even as Silver’s lips bobbed down again, filling her throat with the towering rod.
