  1. Based on this convo, worth pointing out... I have never seen a purity spiral directed downwards. It's what people like Nick does, apply standards to people with more clout than him as an attack. Well he does it cynically, he uses rubes who do it stupidly
  2.
  3. Actually glad, I think this Vazor guy said "we all agree the altright is turning bad" (which I agree with), but I was going to caution against spurning the compatible AR members since the AR did better than other dissident right movements from the web.. Which is probably what he wants since he takes issue with them as a group.
  4.
  5. And if you openly oppose the altright you will just get the people who have nothing going on but attacking us for caring more about mainstreaming our ideas than being a choir preaching exercise. They want their choir to preach to, group therapy is easier. And they were the people I cautioned against earlier.
  6.
  7. They arent why it went poorly (poor leadership, taking in WN 1.0 are) but they've been a thorn and would drag you down with deadweight if not just turn you into their club
  8.
  9. They're basically the strawman of Christianity Hitchens and Harris presented where they're just self-righteous but ultimately insincere
  10.
  11. And in many cases they became Christian just to feel righteous (like Matt Forney and Roosh spring to mind, among others). Curiously they never bring up the fags they consorted with
  12.
  13. If they cared they'd want progress and not attack allies giving them something better than keep their subculture pure.
  14.
  15. They're usually very insular, often not knowing about people who have more influence than them (but they only care about influence in their niche or platform, like the twitter clique led by an e-celeb who gets 4k views and argued he was better than someone with 6x that). They rarely care about persuasion or intellectual rigor in a battle of ideas. Deadweight if not a thorn in too many ways.
