The class was about to start at Pokemon University - the first university to open in the Alola region featuring only pokemon going to school.  Ducklett and Squirtle were at it again, mocking the new Guest Speaker invited to speak to the class.  This particular class was for Business Administration and was really geared towards pokemon with failed business ventures.  Ducklett had failed miserably the prior year trying to start his own Quack Doctor business, while Squirtle's volunteer Fire Fighting Gig resulted in no money being earned, as he found out way too late what the word "volunteer" meant.

The guest speaker was Straight Shooting Sammy the Scrafty - a renowned motivational enthusiast known for his Teddiursa Talks on the internet.  The bell rang and class begun.  In walked Sammy the Scrafty, who looked a bit more like the star of a rap video recorded 20 years ago than a motivational speaker.  Squirtle yelled "YO SHORTY!" but nobody but him really thought it was funny.  Nonetheless, the Scrafty's talk was about to begin.  He looked over the class and began.

"Now, I know you want me to lift your spirits.  But really, I'm just here to tell you a story.  It's a story about money, and how I wanted to make it.  And how you all want to make it.  That's why you're here, right?  Well, let me tell you about this Oranguru.  He was a very rich Oranguru with more money than any pokemon you'll ever know.  And nobody knew how he got it.  So one day I asked him.  I said 'Hey Mon, how come you are so rich?'.  He asked if I wanted to know his secret, and I said yes of course.  Teach me the secret.  I want to make money like you.  I want to be successful.  That word really hit him.  He looked back at me and said 'Successful? Do you really want to be successful?'  I said yeah, I want to be successful and I want to make money, so tell me your secret!  He told me to meet him tomorrow at 3 AM at the Beach.  I was like 'The Beach?'  I mean, I'm trying to make money here, I aint trying to swim.  I'm no water type pokemon after all.

"So the next day I went to the beach at 3 AM and I saw the Oranguru there in the water.  And this brother aint no water poekemon either, but there he was ankles deep in the water.  I went up to him and asked him what do I do.  He said to step further in the water.  So I went in and my pants got wet.  It was uncomfortable.  But he looked at me and said 'Do you want to be successful?'  I said yeah, so he said 'ok step deeper into the water.'  So I went in a little further and now I was knee deep in the water.  The water kept rising and I thought I felt a Basculin bite my toe.  But he said to keep going.  Now I was getting scared.  I mean, I want to be successful, but this crazy Oranguru is trying to kill me.  I asked him if this was the right thing to do, and now he got aggressive and raised his voice.  He said 'I THOUGHT you said you wanted to be successful?  Was that a lie?' I said no of course, I want to be successful, so he told me to 'STEP IN' further, until my shoulders were deep into the water.  Then he grabbed my head and dunked me under the water and held me down.  It was the most powerful Oranguru I had ever seen, and I I couldn't free myself from the grip.  I thought this was the end - I was chasing money so bad that now I was going to die.  I didn't care about no money, no success, nothing.  Do you know what I cared about at that point?

Sammy looked around the class and pointed at Ducklett.  "You, what do you think I wanted to do?"

Ducklett looked at Squirtle and said "Get a change of clothes?"  The class started laughing.  Sammy wasn't that impressed and moved on.

"This one doesn't understand it.  What about you, Squirtle?"

Squirtle looked at Ducklett and looked back at Scrafty.  "Breathe."

"That's it!"  Sammy looked very pleased.  "I just wanted to breathe.  The Oranguru then released his freakish psychic grip on my head and I was able to breathe again!  It was a miracle.  He starteed toying with me afterwards and said 'What did you want to do when you were under there?'  I said breathe, mon.  I just wanted to breathe.  And that's when he said 'Now you know the secret to success.  When you want to succeed as much as you want to BREATHE, then you'll be successful.'

"And that's just it everyone, that's how you become successful.  You have to want it as bad as you want to breathe.  Because the truth is, all of you say you want to be successful, but nobody really wants to work for it.  You don't want success as much as you want to party, you don't want it as much as you want to watch TV, you don't want it as much was you want to play the new Fire Emblem game.  Some of you don't even want success as much as you want to SLEEP!  You'll use Rest with no reason just because you want to.  And I'm here to tell that if you truly want to succeed in life, you have be willing to give up sleep.  You have to be willing to give up everything.  Because there aint nobody in this world that has ever been a complete success that let anything else hold them back.  If you want it you go out and you get it, end of story."

And with that the talk was finished.  As is usual for these sessions, the class instructor called upon Chatot to go ahead and repeat the entire speech in Korean Pokemon.
