  1. The beginning
  2.
  3. A long time ago. . .there was a mighty kingdom, filled with human beings that held great, unique, magical abilities. The late king decided that he wanted all in his kingdom to be shut off from the world..he wanted to offer his people freedom. Peace. Free from the strife, worries, and stress of the world.
  4.
  5. He gathered a circle of his greatest men.
  6.
  7. The first man, Untres, had an infinity that allowed him to create a plethora of trees. In the span of one year, and with his consistent effort, he created an intricate and massive forest surrounding the kingdom of Astrealta.
  8.
  9. The second man, Eltroupe, had an infinity for fog. It took him little time to weave a heavy, continuous, clouded fog to settle upon the forest; obscuring vision for any who entered.
  10.
  11. The third man, Alternatum, had an infinity for trickery. If one were to enter the fog, in hopes to enter the kingdom, they would simply become lost within the forest, until they eventually found their way out the way they came.
  12.
  13. The king, once those three steps were complete, met with every individual of the kingdom. His Affinity allowed him to tether his people's magic to their place of birth. This meant that if one with an Infinity or Affinity tried to leave or enter into the thick fog of the forest they would see a thin, thread of their colored magic, guiding them. This would continue even after the late king's death, his tethering of his people passing on in the generations.
  14.

  17. Affinities and Infinities
  18.
  19. Affinities: Affinities is a magic that run stronger in a humans veins than infinities, thus, only those of royal heritage are refereed to as using an "Affinity."
  20. Infinities: Infinities are like Affinities, but do not run as strong in a human's veins, and the power the infinity holds are typically commonplace; though still vary.
  21.
  22. Present History
  23. The current King and Queen of the kingdom ruled with peace, and prosperity. The Queen gave birth to their only daughter. Shining proof of their love and commitment towards one another, and willingness to give new life, to a world full of hope. Now in this time, the world outside of their kingdom was nearly non-exist ant.
  24.
  25. A group of selective, and trained individuals were chosen to stand watch outside of the kingdom's borders; near the edges of the forest of mist. Four gates made of stone were constructed around the forest, each located North, South, West, and East. A guard stood at each gate, switching out to the next trained individual. This was done so that they had minimal contact with the outside world, able to trade goods, or get certain items they would not otherwise be able to obtain in their restricted kingdom. Or, very rarely..allow a visitor. Only such visitors were of other Kings and Queens from neighboring kingdoms; to discuss certain things.
  26.
  27. Lynn grew up in this world. She didn't know the horrors of war, the tragedies of sudden death through murder. Great sadness. She was happy, living, growing. Ready to take her path as an heir to the throne.
  28.
  29. Life was plentiful. The people were blessed. All was at peace.
  30.
  31. The Betrayal
  32.
  33. A man within the kingdom became..tired of the everyday peace, however. He wanted something to happen within the kingdom, he was angry they were shut away in a forest where none could see them without explicit permission, he wanted the forest gone. He wanted his people to see the world for what it was. Without a word he quietly left, winding through the forest path, his dark eyes on his thread.
  34.
  35. Upon his departure, he was confronted by human-like beings..with deceiving smiles. He was.. oblivious. However, when the man grinned, a sharp flash of his fangs were seen. Fearful, the man stepped back in fear. He could feel their blood lust, the gleaming looks in their glowing, orange eyes.
  36.
  37. But they greeted him warmly, the assumed leader stepping forward to take the mans shaking hand. They asked if they could enter through the forest, and into the kingdom. He said that..he wanted to make a proposition to the king, to join their families.
  38.
  39. The man knew the trained guards did not let these men in. . due to having protection. But the man knew all too well what these creatures were, and the lengths they would go to acquire what they wished. And he, a weak man with no training, or experience in war or fighting. . he would die by resisting them. With a weak voice, the man said he would guide them to his home.
  40.
  41. The Dphamil
  42. Before the days that the kingdom Alstrealta was founded, A lone Vampire detested his grueling life. He wanted excitement. Power. Wealth. Riches. Strength. His thoughts were over-cumbered with greed, and disdain for his own race. Upon the death of his beloved, he sought to make himself stronger than any vampire, so they no longer had the right to call themselves stronger than he, who was not of pure blood.
  43. After many experiments, and tinkering with the likes of alchemy, and magic, he finally achieved what he wished. He was stronger. He was faster.
  44.
  45. He felt. . . thirsty.
  46.
  47. Despite achieving his goal of being physically more adept than a pure-blood, his thirst for blood was more..excessive. He required more energy to sustain his strength.
  48.
  49. Upon trying to turn a human into his newfound kind..he learned that one dose of his poison was not enough. Instead of feeling pleasure, the victim cried out in pain! The bite marks she had received bubbled, burning closed, leaving harsh, thin, black scars across her skin where the incisions were made.
  50.
  51. He used this woman as a Ginny pig.. Just how much had he changed, due to acheving his thirst for power?
  52.
  53. Upon using the woman, he learned that he could still not conceive a child..it wasn't like he could when he was a vampire, regardless.
  54.
  55. But..he learned that he could slowly turn a grown woman into his kind. It had been 100 years since experimentation, and she seemed to be...in her fifties. Yes..it may take a long time..but..what if he created a race of his own kind? Subjects to rule over? It wasn't like he was running out of time. .
  56.
  57. And thus..began the man's reign for power.
  58.
  59. He became feared throughout the land, for smiting kingdoms, stealing the strongest, healthiest, royal woman of the kingdoms, and bribing the men of the kingdom's with their lives for aiding them in helping the woman conceive children.
  60.
  61. As...well. Children were much quicker to turn, were they not?
  62.
  63.
  64.
  65. The fall of the Kingdom
  66. The man guided the dark beings through the forest, slowly...knowing every second long he took, meant that his people would be at peace, for just that little bit longer...Oh, what had he done!? All would have been well, if he had not been blinded by anger for his seemingly boring life. And now..his home would be taken over. . . but..if he did as they said, his loved ones would be well, right? And his descendants? His lovely wife..they wouldn't harm her? He was able to carry on without resistance knowing this.
  67.
  68.
  69. When the beings entered into the kingdom..the leader had the man guide him to his family, to see what needed to be spared for his easy co-operation for the spread of his species. He ordered his kind to offer the proposition to any man they saw, and to kill on sight if they refused. The women? They could have their way with them. But if they were not of strong blood, or of royal lineage, they were to be killed after, only if they were not the woman of a man that agreed to co-operate. And after giving the word..the hell began.
  70.
  71. They slaughtered, raped, tortured, pillaged. The people screamed, ran, many men pleaded for their lives, and the lives of their families to be spared by the hell they wrought. The small group of selective, trained warriors were the only ones who were able to fend the predators from the entrance to the castle, the King, Queen, and Princess fearing for their lives, and the lives of their people.
  72.
  73. Eventually..they grew tired, and either died, or pitifully begged for their lives.
  74.
  75. The leader grinned. Now, he was able to see whom his next breeding sow would be. A fitting woman with a strong lineage, and magic for his beings offspring. Upon entering the castle, he was met with an angry King standing at his throne, sword drawn. His Wife, the Queen, and his eighteen year-old daughter, holding onto one another, while hiding behind the Father, the King. The King with a mighty yell, ran to the leader of the Dphamil, seeking to end the mans life with confidence. Howerver...with a quick bout of speed, and a thrust of his hand, his fist smashed through the kings chest; blood bursting from him, pooling out upon the floor. The king immediately slumped, falling to the earth. The Queen cried out in grief, Lynn sobbing quietly beside her mother, fear stricken. The Queen turned to her daughter, giving her one last kiss upon her forehead, and instructed her to run! She gave her a push, towards the grand hall. There, she knew her daughter would have the slightest hope of escape..
  76.
  77. Lynn ran. Only sparing a glance to see the man advancing on her mother only to look away and hear a shrill cry as her mother was killed. It was not long after that the man caught up to her, catching her by the arm, and apprehending her. He grinned. Leaning in to bite the young woman's neck. . .
  78.
  79. The demise of Lynn's humanity
  80.
  81.
  82. Once she was captured, they managed to find the bedroom she frequented, leaving her within. For what she was to endure, they needed her in a room of familiarity. The leader..wanted to take her for himself first. He invited himself into the bedroom, to familiarize the young woman with what was going to be done.
  83.
  84.
  85.
  86. They immediately began preparations for her to bare children for their kind. They chose a man that had been one of the trained men of the kingdom, and instructed him to consummate with the Princess. The man, unflinchingly agreed, as it was what kept his family alive, to do this sin.
  87.
  88.
  89. Once the deed was done, she would be visited regularly by the Dphamil, subject to receiving constant slashes from their poison-secreting nails, and bites from their fangs. This would happen less frequently when she was confirmed to be with child, not wanting to risk a miscarrage, or unhealthy pregnancy.
  90.
  91.
  92. Once giving birth, the child would immediately be taken to be cared for by the female Dphamil, to be slowly changed as they aged into mature adults.
  93.
  94.
  95. This cycle would repeat itself for One thousand, two hundred, and fifty years.
  96.
  97.
  98. She was isolated, cut off from the world in that one room. She was only seen to be bred, cleaned, injected with their venom, feedings, delivery, and repeat.
  99.
  100.
  101. At first, she was resistant. She tried to save her children. She tried to find ways to escape. She tried to hope for her future.
  102.
  103.
  104. But years... after years. . . after years . . .
  105.
  106.
  107. She never spoke. She never walked. She sat. She thought. She created a world within her mind to live. To interact. To live. A place she could be instead of the hell she was forced to live. She slowly began to go insane. Voices within her mind of the family she conjured. Sometimes...she even wondered if the hell she went through was just...a simple nightmare?
  108.
  109. She forgot who she was. What she was. How she used to be.
  110.
  111.
  112. The neighboring kingdom's attack.
  113.
  114. The neighboring kingdom's learned of the terrible fate of the Kingdom of Alstrealta. They learned, many generations later when the leaders tried to reach out to them, for their consensus. They feared that their Kingdom's would be the next target of attack when they wasted the old kingdom of all it had to offer. They grouped together, building a vast, and mighty army to smite out the Dphamil. . .once and for all. They would take no refugees. No survives. All in the kingdom would die. They would not risk their own homes.
  115.
  116.
  117. They came with no warning. They swamped the misty forest, raising their torches. They burned all they saw. Eventually, they worked their way through the mists of trickery, due to the sheer amount of people trying to enter. That is when war broke out.
  118.
  119.
  120. Lynn heard all of this commotion, in her room of isolation. . . no one came to check on her..? She would slowly come to her senses. This was her chance, was it not? Despite the pain, she dressed herself in simple clothing, and attempted to leave the room. . . No one was to be seen. The Dphamil were all waging a great war outside of the castle. It would not be long before the people from the neighboring kingdoms came to raid within the castle, and rid it of the filth. She was part of that filth now. But she...there was something that needed to be done.
  121.
  122. Taking few, meager belongings, she managed to make her way to the incubation room. . . where she..
  123.
  124. Slaughtered them all. To save them. From the suffering.
  125.
  126. Her children.
  127.
  128. With her final task done..she left the castle as it was stormed by the neighboring kingdoms, not thinking. As she entered into the forest of mists..she saw her thread. The sign of her life. . . .
